In this place, Fei Hu was not very familiar, so Chen Hui led the way. Fei Hu followed along, and the two found a Wonton Shop on Anzheng Road Snack Street and sat down. The owner's movements were very quick, and soon two bowls of wontons were served at their table, which indeed tasted quite good. 0

"Fei Hu! No matter what, we know each other. To be honest, I have a very good impression of you. However, ever since you left my house last time, I've been analyzing you. I feel like you're very mysterious; I can't figure out what exactly you do. You disappeared for months without even sending a greeting message, and now you've suddenly reappeared, which surprises me. I hope you can tell me everything about yourself," Chen Hui said in a low voice, her face filled with expectation. 0

Fei Hu lightly tapped his bowl with chopsticks, feeling a mix of emotions. With his identity, few people were willing to stay with him. But if he didn't say anything, wouldn't that hurt the girl's feelings? There truly is no wall that doesn't let the wind through; some things will eventually come to light—it's just a matter of time. 0

"I'm involved in the underworld," Fei Hu said, steeling himself and lowering his voice. 0

Chen Hui's expression froze in shock. After a moment, she asked uncertainly, "So you're saying you're a thug who specializes in fighting and doing things looked down upon by others?" 0

"No, I'm different from them. The thugs you mentioned are just trying to survive by doing anything. I'm not like that; I focus on self-defense. I don't initiate trouble, but I'm not afraid when trouble comes," Fei Hu said, feeling a bit anxious as he interrupted Chen Hui to clarify what he meant by being involved in the underworld. 0

Chen Hui's expression changed as she said sternly, "That's still being a thug; your explanation doesn't help." She was a bit agitated, raising her voice slightly, causing several diners in the shop to glance over at them. 0

The atmosphere became awkward. Fei Hu was taken aback; he hadn't expected Chen Hui to react so emotionally upon hearing he was involved in the underworld. Fortunately, he hadn't mentioned any specific gangs; otherwise, it would have upset her even more. Love and hate have their reasons; Chen Hui's agitation was justified and not just an outburst. 0

Fei Hu hurriedly paid the bill and gently pulled Chen Hui along as they left the small shop together. As night fell, the beautiful Shanghang radiated an alluring charm for those who enjoyed the night. Fei Hu walked silently behind Chen Hui as they strolled together without speaking. 0

Chen Hui seemed to be in a terrible mood and looked quite frustrated. She avoided crowded places and headed down a deserted path. Fei Hu felt it was best not to speak and silently followed her. 0

This path seemed to have some history; old buildings lined both sides, and large trees grew along the roadside, blocking the dim light from the street lamps and casting shadows that made the area feel somewhat dark. The foot traffic and vehicles were sparse; walking alone here could make one feel uneasy. 0

Just as Chen Hui was about to cross a small bridge, several whistles suddenly came from the roadside. Following that, five or six young men dressed flamboyantly emerged from the shadows beneath the trees. Although the light was dim, Fei Hu could still make out their general appearance; they all appeared to be under thirty years old. The one leading them was of medium height with a teapot-style haircut and an open checkered short-sleeve shirt that revealed a patch of unsightly black hair on his chest. 0

Chen Hui, who was only focused on her anger, was somewhat surprised when a group of people suddenly appeared in front of her. She took a step back and shouted, "What do you want? Don't mess around, or I won't be polite!" It was clear that she had some courage, as someone who had been following the train; if it were an ordinary woman, she would have been terrified and either run away or screamed. Instead, she remained calm. 0

One of the thin guys stepped forward from behind a furry figure and laughed, "Shrimp Ball, you're lucky tonight; this girl is quite pretty. You should take her!" After this shout, the others behind the furry figure joined in. 0

Seeing that these people were not good news, Chen Hui remembered Fei Hu behind her. She quickly turned around and rushed towards him, appearing somewhat frightened. Fei Hu patted her shoulder and whispered, "Don't be afraid; I'm here!" 0

The guy called Shrimp Ball stepped forward and looked Chen Hui up and down before laughing heartily. "Not bad, really not bad. She's beautiful, and I love her personality! Brothers, take her back for me. If that kid tries to play the hero and save the beauty, just beat him up. I don't believe anyone around here dares to compete with me, Shrimp Ball, for a woman!" As he spoke, he pointed menacingly at Fei Hu. 0

Although Chen Hui had seen many things while out and about, this was the first time she encountered something like this. First of all, these guys looked strange; secondly, the time and place were all wrong. Most confusing of all was that there wasn't a single pedestrian on the road. She instinctively leaned closer to Fei Hu, who could feel her body trembling slightly. 0

Slim Guy swayed over to stand in front of Fei Hu and Chen Hui with a sneer. "Hey kid, holding a beautiful girl is nice, but tonight you'd better know your place. Disappear before Shrimp Ball gets angry; otherwise, you'll regret it." As he spoke, he deliberately kicked the ground as if to show off his strength to Fei Hu. 0

Fei Hu pulled Chen Hui behind him and thought how unlucky she was to encounter such trouble wherever she went. It seemed Shrimp Ball wasn't a good person either; how dare he openly try to take a woman from him? 0

"Are you deaf? Did you treat my words as wind?" Slim Guy shrugged and made a punching gesture at Fei Hu. Fei Hu glanced at him without showing any anger or speaking; he remained still, waiting for them to make their move. 0

Suddenly, Shrimp Ball shouted fiercely, "Brothers, let's go together! This kid clearly doesn't know what's good for him; let's teach him what I'm capable of!" 0

Upon hearing this, Slim Guy seemed energized. He clenched his fists and threw a few punches into the air before executing a flashy kick. While it looked impressive, it was merely showy moves meant to intimidate outsiders. Against Fei Hu, however, it was useless and only revealed that they were nothing more than bluster. 0

After Slim Guy's display failed to scare Fei Hu at all, he gritted his teeth and charged at him with a loud shout. Seizing the opportunity before Slim Guy got close enough, Fei Hu swiftly raised his right foot and kicked out with incredible speed. With a loud thud, Slim Guy fell flat on the road like a defeated insect. 0

This time, without waiting for the others to react, Fei Hu dashed over in one swift motion. His punches and kicks were clean and efficient. He dispatched the group of weaklings effortlessly; even Shrimp Ball was no match for him. Before Fei Hu could strike him, Shrimp Ball curled up defensively and fell to the ground first—clearly used to taking hits and knowing how to protect himself. In response to such cowardice, Fei Hu angrily stomped on his stomach twice to teach him that women should not be taken like this. 0

As Fei Hu was venting his anger, Chen Hui ran over and pulled him away. While running, she said, "Alright! You want to beat them to death? What if someone sees and calls the police? The cops will say you were the one fighting since they’re all lying on the ground and you’re fine." 0

"Isn't it good that you're here? You can testify for me!" Fei Hu said with a deliberate smile as he noticed Chen Hui's anger had subsided. 0

Once they exited the alley, a bustling scene unfolded outside, filled with cars and lively activity. Chen Hui clung to Fei Hu's arm, looking blissful as if nothing had happened just moments ago. As they chatted and strolled through the streets, suddenly, a police siren blared behind them, and a police car sped towards them, causing Fei Hu to feel a sudden tension in his chest. 0

Chen Hui tugged at Fei Hu and whispered, "Let’s go! What’s so interesting about a police car?" 0

But it was too late; a voice from the police car shouted, "It’s that guy up ahead, and he’s with a pretty girl!" Just as Fei Hu froze in surprise, the police car screeched to a halt behind him, and two officers jumped out wielding batons, rushing towards him. 0

Fei Hu realized that the person who had shouted from the police car was none other than Shrimp Ball. His heart raced—had he been too rough earlier? What had happened? His mind buzzed with confusion. 0

"Please come with us to the station; we need your cooperation regarding something," the two officers restrained Fei Hu from both sides. 0

Seeing this, Chen Hui protested loudly, "Officers, can’t you explain what’s going on? He has been with me all night, so whatever he knows, I know too. Why take him alone? Besides, is it really necessary to use batons just to ask a few questions?" Chen Hui was furious and showed no regard for the officers. 0

"Alright! Since you know about it too, you can come along as well. Once we clarify things, you both can go back together," said the older officer while gesturing for Chen Hui to get into the car. 0

Fei Hu shook his head helplessly, thinking that Chen Hui was really foolish; while others were afraid of going out, she was eager to jump right in. 0

The police car sped towards the local station. Throughout the ride, Fei Hu furrowed his brow in worry. He kept wondering if he had indeed been too rough and hurt someone. But it seemed he hadn’t used all his strength—what could the police possibly want to ask him? 0
