Fei Hu sat in the hall, sipping the tea brewed by the maid, while curiously looking around at the high-end decor of the living room. Just then, a maid came down from upstairs and softly said, "Sir, your room is ready."
Oh! How polite! After all, we are all the same. Fei Hu shrugged awkwardly and followed the maid up to the third floor. When he opened the door, he felt as if he were dreaming. The floor was covered with a thick carpet, the room was air-conditioned to a comfortable temperature, and the spacious mattress made one want to jump right onto it. The tea table and sofa matched the rest of the elegant decor, filling every corner of the room with a sense of luxury.
"Sir, my name is Xiao Lan, and this is Xiao Lin. There is a list of our room's phone numbers on the table. If you need anything, feel free to call us," one of the maids in white said politely to Fei Hu.
Fei Hu smiled slightly at them and said, "Thank you, but please don't call me 'sir.' It makes me uncomfortable; we're all the same here. If you like, just call me Brother Tiger; I seem to be a few years older than you."
Xiao Lan and Xiao Lin smiled slightly and replied in unison, "Alright, Brother Tiger. Please rest well." After closing the door, they left.
Typical professionalism; it's just a change of soup without changing the medicine. Fei Hu shook his head helplessly and jumped onto the bed. So comfortable! Being wealthy brings pleasures that those without money can hardly imagine. After playing around on the bed for a while, Fei Hu went to take a shower; the high-end facilities in the bathroom were beyond words.
It was late at night, and Fei Hu was too excited to sleep. This place was even better than Ye Xiaofei's villa. Thinking of Ye Xiaofei, Fei Hu felt as if he had lost something. He wondered what she was doing at that moment and if she was thinking about him like he was about her. Lost in thought, Fei Hu eventually drifted off to sleep.
In a spacious room at a leisure club in City A, Ye Wu, her aunt, and Juanzi were sitting together as Juanzi personally brewed tea for them. At that moment, Little Four and Abiao gently pushed open the door and walked in. They glanced at the aunt, whose mouth had been open but slowly closed again.
"Speak up! Aunt isn't an outsider," Ye Wu said lightly after taking a sip of tea brewed by Juanzi.
Little Four stepped forward with a smile and said to Ye Wu, "Brother Tiger has been missing in City A for over a week now. In my personal opinion, he might have been scared off by us; anyway, there’s no sign of him anywhere he could go."
"Brother Tiger, I have someone who saw him at the train station a few days ago; he might have left town. So we shouldn't waste our energy on such a person anymore; we should focus on others instead. What do you think?" Abiao, who followed behind Little Four, said cautiously.
Ye Wu slowly savored her tea and pondered for a while before saying, "Alright! Let’s shift our focus elsewhere! You did well with what I assigned last time; keep nibbling away at him bit by bit until that old man realizes it—by then his territory will be in my hands. Do you understand?"
"Understood, Brother Tiger!" Little Four and Abiao replied in unison.
A faint smile passed over Aunt Bai Xi's face as she softly said, "That's right. If you want to be a boss, you need a certain level of soul power; otherwise, it's impossible. In our line of work, sometimes you have to resort to underhanded methods. Although your movements were a bit slow, at least you took action, which means you're one step closer to the position of Big Brother. Your Second Brother, Ye Wei, is just a coward; he won't achieve anything significant."
"He's a bit timid, but his Weisheng Group is quite a juicy piece of meat that makes people drool. It's really unfair to this coward. I've tried to partner with him several times, but he always dodges the offer. Otherwise, I would have been the boss of the Dragon Tiger Gang by now. Sigh! Just thinking about it makes me angry," Ye Wu said, letting out a long sigh.
Aunt Bai Xi chuckled and said, "That Shengwei Group is in such disarray under his management that it’s just an empty shell now. If you cooperate well with me and we make a lot of money, why worry about one Sheng Wei? The entire Ye Family's assets could end up under your control. At that point, you'd truly be the Big Brother of the Dragon Tiger Gang."
Hearing Aunt Bai Xi say this made Ye Wu sit up straight in excitement. He looked at her with confusion and asked softly, "Aunt! What exactly do you do? How do you know so much? Isn’t it a bit too mysterious?"
"Haha! You don't need to worry about that. Didn't you secretly investigate me a few days ago? You got results and are still asking me this? I'll just tell you that our cooperation is solely for money. You take what you deserve; there's no need to complicate things," Aunt Bai Xi said with a slight smile at Ye Wu.
Although it was just a couple of sentences, they made Ye Wu feel uncomfortable all over. This aunt was quite formidable; her every move seemed to control him more and more, and the more he thought about it, the more scared he became.
The atmosphere in the room became somewhat awkward as Ye Wu sat there, staring blankly ahead, lost in thought. In contrast, Aunt Bai Xi appeared calm as she sipped her tea while Juanzi quietly moved around, seemingly an outsider simply refilling cups for Ye Wu and Aunt Bai Xi.
Little Four began to sweat slightly on his forehead. He wiped it away with his hand and quietly asked, "Brother Tiger, we have enough manpower now; should we go get custody of New Joy World tonight?"
Ye Wu snapped back to reality and replied with an "oh," then shook his head and said, "No need to act for now. Listen carefully: without my orders, if anyone goes there and causes trouble for me, I will not let them off easily." Ye Wu exhaled deeply.
"I don't understand, Boss Ye. It seems like all areas are your territory; leaving New Joy World in someone else's hands doesn't look good. Can you explain your thoughts?" Aunt Bai Xi nodded at Ye Wu, her eyes filled with challenge.
Ye Wu smirked slightly and said, "I'm not a fool; why create so many enemies unnecessarily? For the custody of one New Joy World, if it drains my energy, it's not worth it. Right now, all my focus needs to be on the old man. Once I deal with him, who in A City can I fear?"
"Brother Tiger, New Joy World is just filled with small-time thugs. Besides, losing Fei Hu isn't a big deal at all. Now is the best time to act; we could easily succeed," Abiao said with a smile to Wu. However, from his demeanor, it was clear he was still quite cautious.
Ye Wu's expression changed as he sternly replied, "You fool! Think before you act! Have you considered which factions those thugs at New Joy World belong to? If they were from one faction alone, I would have sent someone to take them down already. But they are made up of over ten chaotic factions; if we act against them now, it would be like pitting me against multiple small-time gangs in society. Wouldn't that just create more enemies? They can't openly defeat me; if they come at me secretly instead—what do you think I should do?"
Upon hearing this, Abiao nervously scratched his scalp; he hadn't considered the implications involved. No wonder Ye Wu was their leader—being in charge required thinking differently about problems.
Little Four smiled and said, "Brother Tiger, this move is clever. If we don't provoke them, they won't dare to act against us. This way, we can focus all our energy on dealing with the old man. Once the situation is settled, taking care of them will be a piece of cake."
Ye Wu Yi couldn't help but burst into laughter.
The weather was getting hotter by the day, and the streets were filled with the sights of summer. Ye Cheng, dressed in a short shirt, sat in a rattan chair in his yard, eyes tightly closed, swaying back and forth. It was clear he wasn't relaxing but was deep in thought.
At that moment, Yingzi gently parked her BMW X1 outside the gate and walked towards Ye Cheng. He slightly opened his eyes and asked Yingzi, "How is it, child? Is everything settled?"
Yingzi nodded as she walked and said, "Yes, they have all withdrawn. Brother Dong temporarily disbanded them and gave each person some living expenses. However, Brother Dong mentioned that these people are absolutely reliable; gathering them again is just a matter of a phone call." As she spoke, Yingzi sat down on the lawn opposite Ye Cheng, looking lazily at the scorching sun.
"Any news from Fei Hu?" Ye Cheng suddenly asked.
Yingzi nodded and replied, "Yes, he recently has to go to Vietnam to handle something for a Boss. This guy can't sit still; it's only been a few days and he's already busy." She maintained a smile while saying this.
"Oh! Where in Vietnam is he going? Did he tell you?" Upon hearing that Fei Hu was going to Vietnam, Ye Cheng sat up straight with excitement.
Yingzi thought for a moment and said, "He mentioned something about going to Da Nang City, and the people he needs to meet are also Chinese. It's basically an internal matter among our own people; there shouldn't be any big issues—just some business interests. With his skills, he should be able to handle it."
"Da Nang City, that's a coastal city with many docks and a mixed population. Tell Fei Hu that if he runs into trouble, he should ask for someone called Gecko. This person used to be with our Dragon Tiger Gang, but he's quite righteous. If he sees the token of the Dragon Tiger Gang, he'll definitely lend a hand. It's better to be cautious; after all, things are different out there compared to back home," Ye Cheng said with concern.
Upon hearing this, Yingzi happily said, "Thank you, Grandpa! I'll call him right away." After finishing her sentence, Yingzi turned and ran off.
