The past couple of days have felt incredibly slow for Fei Hu. Aside from eating, he has been sleeping or staring blankly at the sky in the villa's yard. Fortunately, Tang Lan and Xiao Lan have been very understanding of him, and no one has disturbed him, which has deeply moved Fei Hu. 0

On the morning of the third day, Fei Hu was still in a daze when he was awakened by Li Xiaoran's phone call. As he stepped out of the villa, Li Xiaoran was already waiting for him in her car. Fei Hu smiled slightly and opened the car door to get in. Li Xiaoran nodded at him, and with a swift turn of the steering wheel, they quietly drove onto National Highway 621 heading towards the suburbs. 0

"Try to cheer up. There's no point in being sad now; it won't change anything. We need to keep our spirits up. Otherwise, Wang Yun's family will be even more devastated if they see us like this," Li Xiaoran said softly as she drove. 0

Fei Hu nodded and glanced sideways at Li Xiaoran. Her long black hair cascaded over her shoulders, and she wore a white shirt paired with a black suit that accentuated her beautiful figure. Her round face was lightly made up, making her look both lovely and dignified. 0

Noticing that Fei Hu was stealing glances at her, Li Xiaoran felt a bit shy, causing her cheeks to flush slightly. She asked softly, "What's wrong? Do I look bad? If there's something wrong, you have to tell me. Otherwise, I'll embarrass myself, and you won't look good either since we're going together." 0

Fei Hu gently shook his head and replied, "You look great; you have a unique beauty." Hearing this made Li Xiaoran smile happily. Excitedly, she pressed down on the accelerator, and the car sped off like an arrow. What woman doesn't enjoy being told she's pretty? Li Xiaoran was no exception, especially when it came from Fei Hu; it felt sweeter than honey. 0

It took about half an hour to reach Wang Yun's house. When the car stopped, Fei Hu looked through the car window and saw several cars parked along the road outside Wang Yun's home. Although there were many people in the yard, a heavy silence and sadness enveloped the atmosphere, making one feel like crying. 0

"You need to hold it together. Don't cause any trouble, especially when facing Wang Yun's parents," Li Xiaoran said as she pulled out two pairs of big sunglasses from her bag. She put one on herself and handed the other to Fei Hu. Then, as if performing a magic trick, she took out two large white flowers and pinned one onto Fei Hu's chest. At that moment, Fei Hu couldn't help but admire Li Xiaoran's thoughtfulness. 0

Wang Yun's memorial hall was set up in her family's living room. A large black-and-white photo of Wang Yun displayed her bright eyes that made it hard for anyone to believe that this beautiful girl had passed away. Wang Yun's father looked haggard as he bent over repeatedly nodding his head; it was clear that his tears had run dry. Standing beside him was Chen Hui, dressed in plain clothes with a white flower pinned to her chest. The traces of tears were clearly visible on her beautiful face. 0

Li Xiaoran and Fei Hu controlled their grief as they bowed deeply before Wang Yun's portrait. If it weren't for Li Xiaoran being by his side, Fei Hu would have wanted to scream out loud. But he held back; the reality was right before them—no amount of pain could bring Wang Yun back; it would only deepen her parents' sorrow. 0

After completing the ceremony, Chen Hui accompanied Fei Hu and Li Xiaoran out of the hall. The three stood in an open space behind Wang Yun's house, gazing at the clouds drifting across the sky with heavy hearts. 0

"I can't shake this feeling that it's not real; everything feels like a dream. Just an hour before the incident happened, she called me saying you were in Shanghang and that I should come visit you more often when I had time. I found it strange then but never imagined something like this would happen. Is this really fate?" Chen Hui said sadly. 0

Fei Hu had no words to respond; he gently patted Chen Hui on the shoulder and said, "Don't be sad. Everyone feels the same way. This came too suddenly; it's something no one can adapt to right away." 0

"Should we go see Wang Yun's parents?" Li Xiaoran looked at Fei Hu, asking with a questioning gaze. 0

Fei Hu nodded. Chen Hui remained silent, walking ahead of them towards her home. It turned out that the two elderly people had been arranged to stay at Chen Hui's house to spare them some pain, as the constant flow of visitors would inevitably touch upon their wounds. 0

The loss of a child is one of life's greatest sorrows. The two elderly people had been deeply hurt. When Fei Hu and Li Xiaoran visited them, the elderly couple merely nodded blankly, without any expression or words. As Fei Hu left, he nearly shed tears. 0

At Chen Hui's home, Fei Hu once again met Chen Hui's parents. Their warmth towards him had noticeably diminished, likely because Chen Hui had informed them that Fei Hu could never be her boyfriend. Observing this, Fei Hu felt a sense of relief. Thankfully, Chen Hui had put a stop to things early; otherwise, if he had gotten too deep into this situation, it would have been impossible to extricate himself. 0

While Fei Hu and Li Xiaoran were sitting quietly in the yard of Chen Hui's house, a mouse ran in. It glanced at Fei Hu and sighed, saying, "You are all my sister's friends. I feel very grateful for your visit." 0

"Don't be so polite. Go attend to the others. We will be heading back to Shanghang soon. We won't be attending Wang Yun's funeral; I really can't bear this kind of pain. I hope you understand," Fei Hu suddenly interrupted the mouse. 0

The mouse nodded expressionlessly and left without saying a word. Watching his retreating figure, Fei Hu suddenly felt that this person had awakened to reality, but it was a bit late. Why is it that only after losing something do people realize its value? 0

Chen Hui initially wanted Fei Hu to have dinner at her house, but he insisted against it. In the end, everyone waved goodbye in silence. The pain and sorrow made Fei Hu's heart ache as if it were bleeding. Perhaps he was too young and had experienced too little; he felt completely overwhelmed. 0

Back in Shanghang, Fei Hu seemed ill and slept for three whole days. During these three days, Tang Lan and Xiao Lan went abroad again because Tang Lan had a business deal that required urgent signing. If it weren't for Fei Hu's current state, there would have been no way for him to avoid this trip. 0

After sleeping for three days, Fei Hu felt too embarrassed to continue sleeping. One afternoon around three o'clock, just after he finished washing up, his phone rang. He saw that it was Li Xiaoran calling. After hesitating for a moment, he answered the call. 0

"Hello, Fei Hu. What have you been doing these days without saying a word?" Li Xiaoran's voice was crisp on the other end. 0

"Sleeping. I slept for three days and nights. Just finished washing up. What's up? Do you need something?" Fei Hu asked lightly. 0

Li Xiaoran paused for a moment before replying, "What? Can't I call you if there's nothing going on? I noticed you've been in a bad mood lately, so I wanted to invite you out to relax a bit. Let's have some afternoon tea together; maybe it will lighten your mood. What do you think?" 0

Fei Hu had long sensed Li Xiaoran's enthusiasm towards him. However, she was already married, and inviting a man for tea felt strange to him. If her husband found out, it would be difficult to explain certain things. So he smiled and said, "Thank you, Miss Li. I'm feeling much better now; I think I'll pass on the tea." 0

"You heartless person. Your mood is good, but mine is not. Regardless, we are all friends of Wang Yun. My sadness is all because of Wang Yun. Can't you have a little pity for me? For Wang Yun's sake, you should come and drink this tea. Moreover, I'm inviting you. Aren't you being a bit too arrogant?" Li Xiaoran's words were both sorrowful and sharp. 0

Fei Hu was stunned for a while. He mustered the courage to say, "That's not what I meant. I was thinking that you are married now. I worry that people might see us and say unpleasant things, affecting your family. That's why I..." Fei Hu hesitated. However, what he said was the truth; there were indeed some things he had to consider. 0

"That's ridiculous logic. You may be young, but your thoughts are outdated. So what if I'm a married woman? I still have my personal freedom to choose my friends. Even my husband can't interfere as long as I take responsibility for my family. What can he say? Is there something wrong with your brain?" Li Xiaoran continued to press on the phone, scolding Fei Hu. 0

Perhaps he was overthinking it. It was just a tea gathering; what could possibly happen? At worst, he could go early and come back soon. Besides, it was only a little past three o'clock; nothing should happen during the day. 0

Thinking this way, Fei Hu said into the phone, "Alright then. You choose the place; I'll come." 0

"Come if you want. Xuanyuan Pavilion, Room B518," Li Xiaoran said and hung up before Fei Hu could respond. This woman was really something; Fei Hu felt like he had been trapped. 0

It was very convenient to get a taxi outside the villa area. A wave of his hand brought a car over. It seemed that being wealthy had its advantages. Sitting in the car, Fei Hu couldn't help but laugh at his own childish thoughts. The place wasn't far from where he lived; it was just a ten-minute drive, and he arrived shortly. 0

Pushing open the door, he saw Li Xiaoran in a light yellow suit dress, looking very beautiful and elegant as she sat by the tea table near the window. Her two snow-white legs were crossed in a casual manner, swaying slightly—extremely seductive. Especially with her chest, where the suit's neckline revealed two full curves that were tantalizingly visible. Fei Hu's heart raced; he truly regretted coming. 0

"Close the door and come sit here. Look at your silly face," Li Xiaoran said with an alluring glance at Fei Hu. That look could easily captivate many men. Fei Hu couldn't help but shiver all over. 0

Fei Hu took a deep breath and gently closed the door behind him before sitting down across from Li Xiaoran. He hardly dared to look up; a woman like her was even more intimidating when she turned on her charm. 0

"What's wrong with you? This isn't like you at all. It's only been a few days since we last met; why are you being so cautious? Do you think I would eat you?" Li Xiaoran said as she reached out her delicate hand and lightly flicked Fei Hu's forehead. My God, Fei Hu nearly melted into his seat. 0
