"Thank you, but I can't accept it. I haven't done anything for you; it feels wrong to take your money. Am I being too vulgar?" Fei Hu said as he turned towards the door.
Tang Lan stepped forward, her expression changing as she said, "I don't like this attitude of yours. Money has no grudge against you, right? Besides, everyone needs money to live every day. If you keep being pretentious, I'm going to get angry." Saying this, she angrily shoved the bank card into Fei Hu's jacket pocket.
Xiaolan, who was following Tang Lan, quickly said to Fei Hu, "Just take it. Tang Zong gave one to both of us—each person gets one. This is what you deserve; there's no need to refuse it. Otherwise, if Tang Lan needs your help next time, she won't even consider you." Xiaolan's words were straightforward and practical.
Fei Hu paused for a moment but didn't take the bank card out again. He nodded and said, "Alright then, I'll accept the card. Take care of yourselves; I'm leaving now. If there's anything Tang Zong needs from me, just give me a call and I'll be there immediately." After saying that, he rushed out the door.
"Let Xiaolan drive you," came Tang Lan's voice calling after him.
Xiaolan drove like she was racing a car. Her speed made Fei Hu feel uneasy. In no time at all, they arrived at the square in front of the train station. Fei Hu gently pushed Xiaolan's shoulder and said, "Call me when you get to City A; I'll definitely come pick you up." Without waiting for Xiaolan to respond, he opened the car door and jumped out quickly.
Everything went very smoothly. By around six o'clock in the evening, Fei Hu appeared at Buckingham Palace as designated by Yingzi. This place lived up to its name—everywhere was filled with nobility and elegance. The Western-style villa complex made the area seem lively rather than desolate. Fei Hu couldn't help but shake his head; he never expected such a beautiful place existed in the suburbs of City A.
"Hi! You finally made it! I've been dying of anxiety!" Yingzi's melodious voice came from behind Fei Hu.
Startled, Fei Hu turned around; he clearly hadn't seen anyone just moments ago—how did she appear? He looked back to see Yingzi smiling at him with a joyful expression on her face. Sighing deeply, Fei Hu said, "I'm really losing my edge; when did you arrive? I didn't notice at all! For someone like us who practices martial arts, that's a terrifying signal."
"It's not as serious as you think. Actually, I saw you through my binoculars as soon as you got here. Anyway, enough about that—Grandpa has been waiting for you for quite some time," Yingzi said as she reached out and pulled Fei Hu toward the entrance of the villa area.
Yingzi pressed her hand against the main gate. With a beep, the gate slowly opened. It turned out this was a high-end community where everyone had to use fingerprint recognition to enter. If it weren't for Yingzi, Fei Hu wouldn't have been able to get in alone.
Yingzi led Fei Hu for about three or four minutes before stopping in front of a villa numbered 72. She used her fingerprint again to unlock the villa's door. Looking at the three-story, impressive villa, Fei Hu quietly asked Yingzi, "Where is this?"
"This is one of my grandfather's properties. It's quite secretive; hardly anyone knows about it, not even Ye Xiaofei. This place is used by my grandfather for important meetings within the gang. However, it hasn't been officially used yet," Yingzi explained as she entered a series of numbers on the keypad of the villa's security door, which then opened with a sound.
The luxurious decor and elegant arrangement made it feel like stepping into a palace. However, Fei Hu had never been to a palace; he only felt it resembled what he had seen in movies.
"Come sit over here. I've been waiting for you for quite a while," an elderly voice floated over. Fei Hu looked over to see Ye Cheng reclining on the large sofa in the living room. He seemed to have aged quite a bit. Sigh, it's all because of those ungrateful bastards.
Fei Hu hurried over, and Ye Cheng got up to pull him down onto the sofa. At that moment, Sister Wu appeared as if she had been preparing all along, bringing out a tray with three steaming cups of coffee. Fei Hu quickly stood up to greet Sister Wu; they hadn't seen each other for some time.
Sister Wu placed the tray on the coffee table in front of the sofa and said, "Fei Hu, you're impressive. With just one call from Yingzi, you arrived so quickly. It really puts my mind at ease. Big Brother has been worried sick over these family issues lately. Once you’re here, don’t be polite; you must help Big Brother shoulder the burden and make sure Ye Wu and Ye Wei give up their wicked intentions."
Fei Hu nodded. He didn't know what to say since this was ultimately Ye Family's matter. As an outsider, it felt somewhat inappropriate to get involved. However, being a helper was still acceptable.
Yingzi handed a cup of coffee to Ye Cheng and then took another cup to offer Fei Hu. She then calmly said, "Just three or four hours ago, I received intel from Mouse. He said Ye Wu has gathered his strong subordinates and is preparing to confront Grandpa tonight in an attempt to force him to hand over Big Brother's position. So it was urgent for me to move Grandpa and Sister Wu here."
Fei Hu took a sip of coffee and asked in surprise, "You mean this information came from Mouse?"
"Yes, is there a problem?" Yingzi replied with a hint of defensiveness.
Fei Hu sighed and said, "A few days ago, his sister took a train from Shanghang to Nangang. Just three days ago, I saw him at her funeral. I thought he wouldn't come so soon."
"His sister? Oh, is it Wang Yun? Did Wang Yun pass away?" Yingzi asked in shock.
Fei Hu nodded silently. He saw that Yingzi's eyes were already filled with tears. Such a lively and beautiful girl had left so suddenly. Everyone felt sorry for her. However, Fei Hu knew that the current situation did not allow them time to mourn for Wang Yun. Their immediate priority was to deal with Ye Wu's military advice tonight and put an end to his ambitions.
After pondering for a while, Fei Hu said to Ye Cheng, "Grandfather, you should consider the successor of the Dragon Tiger Gang. As soon as you pass on the position, Ye Wu will basically have no thoughts left. If you keep dragging this out, he won't give up. Tonight's matter can be handled easily. Later, Yingzi and I will return to the villa in the city and wait for them to come. We will give him a satisfactory response."
Ye Cheng took a sip of coffee, sighed, and said, "What you said is very correct. However, there is a ceremony for passing on the position. The Eight Elders of the gang must be present. With their unanimous approval, the new leader will be considered valid. But these people will arrive soon. As for the choice of the new leader, I still haven't found a suitable candidate." Ye Cheng said, casting a meaningful glance at Fei Hu.
Fei Hu understood Ye Cheng's implication. However, he really did not want to be the leader of the Dragon Tiger Gang. He was someone who enjoyed freedom. After all, in the city, Ye Wu wouldn't dare use guns. Here's what we'll do: you quickly inform the others in the villa to hide elsewhere tonight. As for manpower, I'll find a way. But we need to be discreet about it. When we go in, we mustn't let Ye Wu's men discover us; otherwise, if he finds out, tonight's plan will be canceled, and we would have wasted our efforts."
Yingzi nodded and said, "Yes, that makes sense. I'll follow your lead."
Fei Hu thought for a moment and then took out his phone. After searching for a while, he dialed A-Lian's number. The phone rang for quite some time before A-Lian's slightly excited voice came through: "Hello? Fei Hu! You heartless one! You remember to call me now? Is there something going on that you need our help with?" A woman's intuition is indeed remarkable; she guessed it right away.
"Yes indeed! Choose ten skilled and quick-witted fighters immediately and rush over to Buckingham Palace in the southern suburbs. We'll discuss everything when we meet," Fei Hu replied briefly.
A-Lian paused for a moment before saying, "Okay! I'll take care of it right away."
Hearing A-Lian agree eased Fei Hu's anxious heart. However, tonight would still be a fierce battle.
