Several shabby houses were situated deep in the mountains and old forests. Fei Hu couldn't understand why a beautiful woman like Wang Qian would come to such a place. He was filled with questions.
"Since you're here, just stay put. Don't entertain any thoughts of escape. First of all, this place is almost completely isolated from the outside world—there's no communication and no proper pathways for people. Even if you wanted to run away, it's impossible. Not only do we have people watching you, but even if we let you go, you wouldn't know the way. You might even end up getting killed by the poisonous snakes here," Wang Qian said before turning and leaving the room. Seeing her so unfamiliar, Fei Hu couldn't help but recall their days in Hong Kong; this woman was truly unpredictable.
Fei Hu cautiously stepped out of the room, stretching his neck to look around. To his surprise, these women were indeed as formidable as rumored. Despite the shabby appearance of the houses, there were numerous lookout posts—some visible and some hidden. Based on Fei Hu's instincts, it seemed likely that there were also concealed guards. It appeared that escaping would not be as easy as he thought.
Sitting on the bed, a sense of desolation washed over him. He didn't know how he ended up here. Looking at his watch, he was shocked to realize that he had slept for more than three days since he and Yingzi arrived in Hanoi on what should have been a Tuesday. Today was Friday. He felt as if he hadn't even dreamed during those three days; everything was a blur.
Suddenly, a woman with a gun stepped inside. She was dressed in military green camouflage but wasn't as beautiful as Wang Qian and was somewhat plump. She pointed her gun at Fei Hu, signaling him to get up and walk outside. Fei Hu deliberately remained seated, prompting her to shout at him in a language he couldn't understand—she seemed to be from the local area.
Fei Hu was escorted by this woman through two rows of wooden houses until they reached the last row, which consisted of two-story wooden buildings. At the stairs and along the second-floor corridor stood women holding short guns. These women had varying skin tones, and not many were particularly attractive; however, from their stances, Fei Hu could tell they had undergone rigorous training.
"This way," Wang Qian suddenly emerged from one of the rooms.
In a relatively spacious room, several large wooden tables were pushed together in the center with chairs arranged around them. At the head of the table sat a woman in her forties with short hair and a doll-like face that remained beautiful despite a few wrinkles at the corners of her eyes due to age.
The woman was also dressed in camouflage, with an open jacket revealing a gun belt and her legs confidently resting on the table in front of her. When she saw Fei Hu enter, she straightened up and removed her legs from the table.
The door creaked shut behind him. When Fei Hu turned around, he saw Wang Qian standing behind him along with four other women holding guns. He couldn't help but shake his head; this woman was overly cautious—did she really need all this for him?
"Ah, truly impressive! You dare to come to my territory for a woman? Quite bold; you must be someone special. It seems Ye Cheng has quite an eye for talent," the woman said to Fei Hu with a smile that didn't reach her eyes before gesturing for him to sit down.
At that moment, Wang Qian approached and sat beside Fei Hu, smiling slightly as she said, "This is our boss, Miss Guan—what you might refer to as your auntie over there. The two men from that night were also Boss and me." Wang Qian's tone was equally cold as if it were their first meeting.
"Auntie, huh, quite a famous drug dealer, aren't you? Isn't Interpol always trying to catch you? How come they can't find you? I had to come all the way here, and this Deep Mountains and Old Forests isn't exactly fun. As for the women here, aside from you two being somewhat good-looking, the rest are just plain ugly," Fei Hu said with a chuckle. He knew that dealing with such people required unconventional methods; otherwise, he would end up in a terrible situation.
Upon hearing this, Wang Qian slammed her hand on the table and shouted, "Nonsense! This is our Boss. Clean up your lewd mouth!"
"What? I'm a rogue? When I was in bed with you, weren't you quite fond of this rogue? Have your tastes changed now?" Fei Hu thought to himself. Since he was pretending to be a scoundrel, he might as well play the part convincingly.
Wang Qian pulled out her gun from her waist and yelled, "Shut your filthy mouth or I'll blow your head off!" She even pulled the safety off. Fei Hu ignored her threat; who was she trying to scare? Miss Guan waved her hand at Wang Qian, signaling her to sit down.
Seeing this, Fei Hu seized the opportunity and shouted, "I want to see Ye Xiaofei and Yingzi, otherwise I won't say a word."
Miss Guan smiled at Fei Hu and said, "Young man, don't be like that. We've met before; last time you left without saying goodbye, which was quite impactful. Now that you're here, just settle down. The women standing behind you can't communicate with you; they will only greet you with their guns. So don't get any funny ideas. Besides, we have no enmity between us. Although you disrupted our Major Incident, what's done is done. What can I do to you now? Don't you agree?" With a flirtatious expression, this woman would have captivated countless men if she were just ten years younger.
"How about this: let me meet Ye Xiaofei and Yingzi, then we can talk," Fei Hu reiterated. If neither Ye Xiaofei nor Yingzi were present, there was no point in discussing anything further.
Miss Guan gestured to Wang Qian, who then stood up and whispered something to the women behind her. One of them took her gun and went downstairs. Fei Hu was puzzled; where were these women from? The way Miss Guan spoke definitely didn't sound like someone from the mainland; she wasn't from Hong Kong but surely Taiwanese.
"What are you thinking? If you're confused, just ask me. I promise to answer all your questions satisfactorily," Miss Guan said with a smile. There was no hint of a drug lord in her demeanor; weren't these types of people in movies always portrayed as ruthless killers? Wasn't Miss Guan supposed to be like that?
After hesitating for a moment, Fei Hu couldn't help but ask softly, "Which country are you and Wang Qian from? I know that if I ask, you won't tell me the truth anyway."
"Hahaha! You're an interesting young man! What's there to hide? I'm Japanese but grew up in Taiwan, so I learned Chinese. Understand? As for this Wang Qian, she's actually Vietnamese. Since her hometown is near the China-Vietnam border, she speaks Chinese better than Vietnamese. Plus, she's lived in China for a long time; you might think she's Chinese," Miss Guan laughed while answering Fei Hu's question.
The door opened, and Yingzi and Ye Xiaofei walked in. Upon seeing them, Fei Hu stood up nervously and asked eagerly, "Are both of you okay? Have they bullied you?" If it weren't for others being present, he would have rushed over to embrace them tightly and check on them thoroughly.
"No, why would they bully us? It's just a matter of talking when there's something to say," Yingzi said with a smile, though Fei Hu could still see that the past few days of running around had made this strong girl thinner.
Following behind Yingzi was Ye Xiaofei, who appeared calm. She glanced at Fei Hu and said with a slight smirk, "You're really silly. Is it worth coming all the way here for me?" As she spoke, she gently sat down beside Fei Hu, while Yingzi sat on the other side.
"Heh, you really are lucky, hugging one on each side. Any man would be envious," Miss Guan remarked, her smile fading. It seemed she didn't like seeing men getting too close to women. Had she been hurt in this regard? Fei Hu couldn't help but wonder.
Wang Qian slapped the table and quietly shouted, "We went through so much trouble to bring you here, not so you can act out a love story with two women serving one man. Be careful not to anger me; I might make you feed the snakes."
"Oh, Miss Wang, why are you getting so angry? It's been so long since we've seen each other; isn't it okay to be a little affectionate? Just like how you greeted me earlier with such warmth," Fei Hu began to act shamelessly again, which made Wang Qian's face turn slightly pale with anger.
Miss Guan sneered and said, "Very well. There are dozens of us here, all women, and we just need a sentimental man like you. I brought you here intending to torture you, but now I have a different idea. Since you like women, I'll let these women torment you instead. What do you think of my plan?" As she spoke, her eyes glinted dangerously, sending chills down one's spine.
Fei Hu mustered his courage and replied, "Sure, dying under a peony flower is still romantic; even as a ghost, I would be charming. But I want to ask—I've done nothing to you; why do you want to push me to my death? You deal drugs for money, right? Why go through such trouble? Your beauty deceived my eyes; it turns out you're just as hypocritical as some others—completely devoid of humanity."
Miss Guan suddenly stood up in fury; her beautiful demeanor from before had vanished completely. She glared at Fei Hu as if she wanted to swallow him whole. Gradually, she regained her composure and sat back down.
Ye Xiaofei nervously tugged at Fei Hu's clothes lightly. In that moment, Fei Hu felt warmth blooming in his heart; he knew that Ye Xiaofei had forgiven him in her heart. If it weren't for the current situation, he would have kissed her fiercely right then and there. Yingzi, sitting to Fei Hu's left, noticed his unusual behavior and turned her face away unhappily.
Sitting at the head of the table, Miss Guan crossed her legs and stared coldly at Fei Hu. It seemed she was determined to find something out about him. However, Fei Hu ignored her completely and acted as if he didn't care.
"Take them out and execute them all!" Miss Guan shouted angrily. This time, Fei Hu felt tense.
