"Money has many uses. It's needed to pay officials, to hire people to repair boats, to build houses, and to buy things in the City. Our village is even planning to buy a house in the City, so when we go there, we can stay without having to come back the same day."
Dog Shengzi's face lit up with excitement at the mention of going to the City, his little face, which was often running with snot, filled with longing. It seemed that having to return on the same day every time they went to the City made Dog Shengzi very frustrated.
Guan Yue looked around and then pulled Dog Shengzi along as they quickly headed toward the seaside. Dog Shengzi kept asking in confusion, "What are you going to do, big brother?"
Guan Yue whispered, "We're going to eat seafood today."
"Seafood? The fishing boats haven't returned yet; how can we eat?" Dog Shengzi looked at Guan Yue in confusion, feeling he was a bit muddled. Perhaps he was just too hungry.
When they reached the seaside, Guan Yue told Dog Shengzi to find something to hold fish while he dove into the sea and swam down into the depths.

Great-Grandfather's eyes lit up as he gasped for breath: "Guan Young Master, did you catch these fish? Not bad at all; they are all deep-sea fish, some of which can only be found hundreds of meters underwater. It seems your swimming skills are quite impressive."
