“Xi Meng, your level is now sufficient to tame a magical beast. Have you decided what you want to capture? You see, if it weren't for Silver Moon and Fire Fan having magical beasts this time, we wouldn't have been able to escape. Don't miss this opportunity.” Reaching the warrior level allows one to tame magical beasts, and it's best to do so early on. Training alongside a magical beast is excellent for both future synergy and ability. 0

“I haven't decided yet; you can't rush this. I'll take my time.” Even if I could tame a magical beast, I might not be able to bring it back to the human world later. I’ll wait until I return and ask my mentor; if it's possible, I can come back next year to capture one. 0

Our group of four was traversing through the lush forest, surrounded only by the sounds of beasts. The chattering between me and Xiaopu quickly drew the ire of someone. “Can you two keep it down? What if we attract some magical beasts? We just escaped; who has the energy to fight again?” Fire Fan stopped, one hand on her hip and the other pointing at us while leaning against a tree. 0

“Hmph, are you dissatisfied? This time we owe it all to Xi Meng. Otherwise, would you have escaped?” Xiaopu started bickering with Fire Fan again. 0

“Although her final blow was strong, Ant Swarm stopped on its own afterward; it wasn't necessarily because of her.” “You're just making excuses.”... 0

Xiaopu and Fire Fan continued their argument. The beast horde stopped on its own? Could this really be a trial? Were the academy's strong ones secretly protecting Student? Or was someone deliberately doing this, targeting one of us? “Xi Meng.” 0

Huh? Is Silver Moon calling me? 0

He frowned at me and said quietly, “Be careful.” 0

“I will.” Although it was strange, Silver Moon must have his reasons. Suddenly, a chill ran down my spine; no way... I turned around and saw Fire Fan looking at me darkly. I awkwardly smiled and said, “Xiaopu, let’s go see if we can find a suitable magical beast.” 0

I only intended to change the subject, but Fire Fan wouldn’t let it go. She disdainfully said, “You? Ha! Look over there! That little snake is perfect for you.” She pointed at a small green snake. 0

“Fire Fan, I don't want to argue with you; I'm here just to train properly.” I was truly at a loss for words; I hadn't even provoked her. 0

"Hmph, I can't be bothered with you. I bet you can't even tame such a small beast." 0

"Who says that? Xi Meng's talent is way better than yours. That unicorn of yours is nothing but a family heirloom, so what are you being so arrogant about?" Xiaopu was really getting on my nerves; why argue with her? 0

Strangely, Silver Moon didn't stop them this time. Looking at Xiaopu's hopeful expression and Fire Fan's disdain, Silver Moon seemed indifferent. Sighing, I shook my head in frustration; what is this all about? Why are they picking on me? 0

Suddenly, the jungle stirred, and Xiaopu and Fire Fan stopped arguing, all of us alertly watching the source of the movement. After the army of ants passed, there shouldn't be any beasts around here; the beasts at the edges aren't strong either, so they would definitely fear those terrifying Soul-Eating Ants. 0

We stood still, ready to act at any moment. Just then, a Little One emerged from the bushes. It was about 30 centimeters long, completely snow-white with no impurities in its fur. Its blue eyes looked at the four of us for a moment before it turned away without any fear and proudly walked off. What a beautiful little Snow Leopard. But how could such a strong beast be here on the outskirts? 0

"Xi Meng, this is a great opportunity! That Snow Leopard is still young; it looks like it sneaked out. Quick, tame it before its parents come back!" Xiaopu grabbed my arm and shook it anxiously, looking more eager than I was. 0

I glanced at Silver Moon; after all, he had more experience than I did. He seemed to agree with Xiaopu's assessment and nodded slightly. 0

Fire Fan scoffed beside us with a dismissive "Hmph," clearly dissatisfied. 0

Slowly releasing my green Soul Energy, I realized how lucky I was; such an opportunity was rare. Thinking this, I directed my Soul Energy toward the Snow Leopard. 0

"Ah!" Suddenly, Fire Fan let out a sharp scream and lunged toward me. She collided into me forcefully, causing my body to turn in another direction—unfortunately, my Soul Energy veered off course. 0

At that moment, Xiaopu shouted, "No, Xi Meng!" 0

With a loud "smack," I felt something land on my face. Slowly opening my eyes, I saw a pink, chubby caterpillar resting on my cheek. "Ah!" I screamed and instinctively jumped back. The little caterpillar floated in front of me, about 5 centimeters long, with green bean-like eyes and an expression that seemed both annoyed and helpless as it stared at me. 0

"Hahahahaha..." The loud laughter of Fire Fan echoed in my ears. "I told you, what do you have? It's not even as good as that little snake, a caterpillar is definitely more suited for you." 0

"Xi Meng, I'm sorry, it's all my fault." Xiaopu sulked beside me and then turned to shout at Fire Fan, "It's all your fault! You did it on purpose!" 0

Fire Fan felt a bit awkward and stopped laughing, still pretending to shout back, "This lady is most afraid of those disgusting bugs. I accidentally bumped into Xi Meng; can you blame me for her picking up this caterpillar? Did I ask her to pick it up?" 0

It seemed that Fire Fan was startled by the suddenly appearing little caterpillar and didn't intentionally bump into me. 0

I pulled Xiaopu's sleeve. "Forget it, it's nothing. This, um, caterpillar is quite cute." Unfortunately, my non-magical beast turned out to be a caterpillar smaller than my hand. This opportunity was wasted. 0

I looked at Silver Moon with a face full of resentment, only to see his back seemingly trying hard to hold back something, his shoulders slightly trembling. "Pfft," he laughed out loud. Fine, laugh all you want; I don't care. I lowered my head and looked at the caterpillar that had somehow climbed onto my shoulder. It still wore that annoying expression. You're angry? I'm even angrier than you are. 0

"Group 36, this trial is over; let's go." It was the Instructor. Seriously, why didn't they come earlier? 0

"Alright, let's head back." 0
