"Follow me," Bai Li said coldly, his tone stiff after a long absence.
I didn't care what he was up to and got up to follow him.
Walking behind Bai Li, I noticed we were heading towards the secret chamber. He seemed strange today. Although he was usually moody, at least his emotional fluctuations were apparent. This thought made me feel a bit cautious.
Bai Li stopped at the entrance of the secret chamber, and it seemed he really intended to let me in. Normally, he disliked me approaching this place and kept it very mysterious.
I didn't know what Bai Li muttered to himself, but the door slowly opened. This was the second time I had seen the inside of the secret chamber; however, I hadn't seen anything clearly the first time.
I followed Bai Li inside, where the dimly lit chamber split into two passages.
"You aren't going to let me go, are you?"
Bai Li didn't answer but instead sneered and walked down the left passage. I hesitated for a moment; although I hadn't seen clearly last time, I felt that Nine Charm had been pushed toward the right passage. Feeling uneasy, I still followed him.
The passage was long—long enough to take my breath away. The narrow space echoed with two different footsteps, as if there were a third and fourth...
I suddenly turned around to look but saw no one. I stayed closely behind Bai Li, my heart racing with panic.
"We're here." With Bai Li's voice, the firelight before me was blinding.
As I slowly began to see everything in front of me, "Ah!" I couldn't help but scream and turned to run. But I found that I couldn't find the way back.
"Heh heh, you still want to run?"
I didn't know when Bai Li had appeared behind me. I turned my head and found his eyes flashing with a strange cold light.
"Wait, who are you?" He was definitely not Bai Li. Bai Li couldn't possibly have such strong Soul Energy.

"How... how is this possible!"
"You can't kill me. This time, I won't hold back. Prepare to die!" The Three-Headed Serpent charged at me in anger. I could only sit there helplessly; my earlier resistance had been the maximum I could muster after being restrained.
"Stop, Mossan Serpent Sovereign!"
Yes, Bai Li, he has arrived.
Bai Li stood in front of me, motionless.
The Three-Headed Serpent halted, baring its fangs menacingly, as if it wanted to swallow us whole.
"Get out of the way! Don't think I don't know what you're planning!" the Three-Headed Serpent shouted at Bai Li.
"Mossan Serpent Sovereign, I never intended to betray you; it's just that she is still useful," Bai Li said loudly without yielding at all.
The Three-Headed Serpent charged toward Bai Li, closing the distance to less than half a meter. Its massive body loomed over the smaller Bai Li, yet it didn't even blink.
"If you dare to betray me, even if you find another host's mark, I will kill you." With that, it vanished.
Bai Li let out a deep breath, turned around, and squatted in front of me with a gentle expression I had never seen before. "From now on, stay by my side."
For a moment, I forgot that this person had once said he wanted my life.
However, recalling the last words of the Three-Headed Serpent, I asked, "Bai Li, what is a mark?"
