“Sting Lion, one of the hardest substances in the three realms, possesses terrifying defensive capabilities. Moreover, its fangs, which can pierce through anything, should not be underestimated,” said Ink Seal.
“What does bringing me here have to do with it?”
“To let you meet someone.”
“Who is it?”
“The master of the Sting Lion.”
“Wow, such a fearsome creature actually has a master?!” I exclaimed. Thinking about my Little Pink... sigh.
I guessed that the master of the Sting Lion must be someone like Gewa, a strong muscular man; otherwise, how could anyone tame such a monster? It must be even more terrifying.
...
“Little Spike, you’re being naughty again, hehe.”
A melodious and gentle female voice came from not far away. I was immediately puzzled; judging by the voice, it should belong to a frail woman. How could she be here?
Then, I witnessed a shocking scene...
A monster nearly ten meters long was covered in giant spikes almost five meters long, resembling a hedgehog that was impervious to attack. However, it had a head strikingly similar to that of a lion, with no terrifying spikes in this area—only dense yellow fur.
I could actually accept all of this; however, at that moment, the giant monster lay on its back like a well-behaved dog, exposing its belly, which had only sparse fur. This was simply a large dog acting cute!
What was even more frightening was that on the belly of the Sting Lion, there was a small black dot. Upon closer inspection, it was a girl with yellow curly hair, wearing a floor-length white dress with no decorations—just a garland of flowers woven from grass around her waist.
With a smile on her face, she was talking to the giant monster beneath her.
I suddenly realized that the voice I heard earlier belonged to this girl, along with that shocking title, Little Spike. Sweat.
"She can't be the master of Sting Lion, can she?" I asked, forcing a smile.
"That's right," Ink Seal replied.
"Then, what are we looking for her for?"
"Hey, don't underestimate her," Purple Seal chimed in from the side.
"I'm not, how could I dare?" I glanced at the monster again, feeling immense admiration inside.
"Roar, roar—" Sting Lion began to roar again, but it seemed to be a gentle roar. It didn't sound so terrifying anymore.
"Don't let your guard down; that Sting Lion can easily tear anyone apart except for its master," Ink Seal reminded me.
"I understand."
...
"Miss Afu," Purple Seal called out with a certain elegance.
"Heh heh, you guys are here. It's been a while since you came to see me; I thought you two had forgotten about me," Afu responded as she slowly slid down from Sting Lion's body and walked towards us.
"Sorry for the interruption," Ink Seal said.
"Not at all! I'm really happy that someone can come to see me," Afu said with a bright smile, almost like an angel walking towards us.
"What you said makes us feel embarrassed. We're here this time to ask for a favor from Miss Afu," Ink Seal said politely.
"We are friends, aren't we? What can I help you with?" Afu asked. Her eyes had not left Ink Seal.
"Help her," Ink Seal said as he pulled me in front of Afu.
Afu finally noticed me, her previously smiling face stiffening slightly before turning serious. She reached out and placed her hand on my right hand.
Taken aback, she looked at Ink Seal with some confusion and said, "She, she is—"
"Yes," Ink Seal nodded.
But Afu shook her head and continued to frown at me.
"What happened to your body?" she asked.
"Are you referring to the Necromancer State?"
"Well, never mind that for now. Ink Seal, did you come to me to help her with what?"
"Overcoming Strength with Weakness."
"Overcoming Strength with Weakness? What is that... a skill?"
