Liu You'er looked indifferently at the group of fierce-looking individuals and said to those behind her, "Close your eyes."
Upon hearing Liu You'er's words, Wang Luojie and the others instinctively shut their eyes. After a while, when they heard Liu You'er say it was okay to open them, they did so, only to be met with a scene that left them stunned for five seconds. Then, they looked at Liu You'er with admiration in their eyes.
At that moment, over thirty people rushed in, just like Scarface, with smoke rising from their bodies as they writhed in pain on the ground. Among them were also Ability users. Scarface was in even worse shape; having already been electrocuted once, he was now suffering again, feeling as if he was in unbearable agony. However, what terrified him the most was not the pain in his body but the slowly approaching Liu You'er!
Liu You'er watched the writhing figures on the ground with extreme numbness. If she were just an ordinary person, she would undoubtedly be worse off than them right now. It was clear what fate awaited those who were captured; there was no need to think about it. Therefore, she had made a high-profile appearance to attract attention and, under the cover of bright lights, secretly used electricity to successfully surround these individuals. With just a thought, the current would penetrate their bodies and roam within them, absorbing their abilities and turning them into dried corpses.
However, she had just heard them mention some kind of mission and noticed that the base had sent so many people. It must be an important task that could provide her with useful information, so she wasn't in a hurry to kill them; she only gave them a small lesson.
As she slowly approached Scarface and looked at his face twisted in pain, a familiar bloodthirsty feeling suddenly arose within her. Startled, she suppressed it; after all, she was not a murderer. "If others do not offend me, I will not offend them. If they offend me, I will eradicate them completely" had always been her principle. Since that bald man had offended her, he would have to pay with his life. However, since Scarface was the leader, killing him would likely lead to trouble. She decided to wait and see how the mission unfolded before deciding to kill him.
Scarface saw the bloodthirsty glint flashing in Liu You'er's eyes and thought she was contemplating how to kill him. He felt increasingly anxious as his bravado vanished completely. The metallic Ability he possessed provided him no help at this moment; he could only endure the pain and kneel at Liu You'er's feet begging for mercy, drenched in sweat and tears, looking utterly pathetic as he hoped she would spare him.
Liu You'er looked down at him groveling at her feet and coldly said, "Kneeling at the feet of a lowly person—how humiliating for you."
Scarface had suffered the worst from having his energy drained; his body was on the verge of collapse. Hearing her words made his scalp tingle with fear as he hurriedly exclaimed, "No, no! I am the lowly one! I failed to recognize greatness! Please have mercy..."
Unfortunately, before he could finish speaking, his eyes rolled back and he fainted.
Seeing their leader seemingly "dead," Scarface's subordinates felt a chill run down their spines. They all struggled to rise despite their pain and knelt on the ground, repeatedly banging their heads in desperation for mercy, even bleeding from their foreheads without realizing it. After about ten more people fainted from fear, Liu You'er finally withdrew her electricity. These individuals felt their bodies relax completely as they collapsed onto the ground. Although they were utterly exhausted, at least they no longer felt that unbearable sensation of countless insects crawling under their skin. They all struggled to get back up again to thank Liu You'er for sparing their lives; however, what they truly thought remained unknown to her.
Liu You'er carefully sensed the energy in her body and was a bit surprised: "So I can absorb energy from Ability users too?" Although she didn't absorb much, the presence of multiple Ability users still enhanced her abilities slightly. She could now feel the second Barrier and believed that soon she would truly level up, thanks to that second-tier Core, even though the memories associated with it weren't very pleasant...
She then coldly addressed the people on the ground, saying, "All of you, get lost."
Immediately, those who had been too weak to even turn over were now dragging their companions and stumbling away, all in under twenty seconds.

At this moment, Wang Luojie's Team members were practically starry-eyed, looking at Liu You'er with excitement. Perhaps that was for the best; it spared her from unnecessary complications, though she still felt a bit disheartened.
Seeing Liu You'er devoid of any emotional fluctuation made Wang Luojie anxious. He barely managed to say "I" before being interrupted.
Liu You'er said expressionlessly, "I understand your situation, but I can't accept it. To be honest, we have never truly been together anyway; let's leave it at that." After saying this, she didn't even glance at the stunned Wang Luojie who hadn't yet processed what had happened. She turned and walked out the door. The first rays of morning sunlight shone down warmly on her face, causing Liu You'er to pause for a moment. She looked up at the blue sky and suddenly felt an immense sense of liberation, thinking to herself: "Well, the apocalypse isn't without its benefits." With that thought in mind, she continued on her way.
The monkeys watching as bystanders were dumbfounded; their starry-eyed expressions turned into blank stares as they failed to comprehend what had just happened. Hadn't those two been fine before Scarface and his crew showed up? They had even changed clothes—how did they end up breaking up after just one fight? Yet they dared not ask out of fear of hurting Wang Luojie's feelings and exchanged glances among themselves.
Wang Luojie only realized what had happened when Liu You'er turned away. He reached out but grasped nothing but air. Lowering his gaze, he fell into deep self-reproach, hating himself for not being strong enough and for his earlier thoughts. When he saw Liu You'er pause at the door with a glimmer in her eyes, he thought she might have changed her mind. Just as he prepared to say something, he noticed she had already walked away without stopping until she disappeared from his sight...
Suddenly, he felt a delicate touch on his hand. Turning around, he saw Qiaoyue blushing deeply with shimmering eyes. In a soft yet firm voice, she said: "Even though I don't know what happened, even if Sister Liu You'er leaves, I will always be by your side!"
Lu Feng and Sun Xiang were still exchanging glances and didn't hear Qiaoyue's words; only the monkey's eyes flashed with a hint of sorrow...
