The sudden appearance of Liu You'er startled Queen Ant. In the next moment, a sharp pain shot through its eyes, and then the world turned pitch black.
Its mandibles moved in agony, and its body uncontrollably collided within the nest. Four Worker Ants, lacking instructions from Queen Ant and sensing the pheromones of pain it emitted, were thrown into chaos and hurried towards Queen Ant's direction.
Liu You'er let out a cold laugh; before she even landed, she vanished into thin air and reappeared behind the four Worker Ants. The entire process took less than two seconds. Taking advantage of their confusion, she threw an Electric Ball at them. The four ants, being of a lower level than Liu You'er, suffered far worse than Queen Ant; their bodies were fried to a crisp, curled up into a ball, dead beyond recovery.
With a wave of her hand, Liu You'er made the four ants disappear from sight, collecting them into her space.
Queen Ant, deprived of light and unable to sense the presence of the four Worker Ants, realized she was in danger. Although she had evolved to Third Level, just as Liu You'er had guessed, she had fully evolved for reproduction. She relied on Worker Ants for movement and had just laid eggs, making her even weaker!
Moreover, among the Worker Ants, only these few had evolved significantly; the others had just recently evolved and were still driven by instinct. They avoided Liu You'er due to the foul scent emanating from her, unsure how to protect themselves.
As Queen Ant detected Liu Youer's increasingly potent scent drawing closer, her fear escalated. She began to struggle and run but was as slow as a snail due to her large size. She could only shake her antennae more vigorously, eventually producing an overwhelmingly strong scent that began to overshadow the rubbery smell. Meanwhile, the ants outside started to pace anxiously.
Liu You'er sensed the situation at the entrance and no longer hesitated. She caught up with Queen Ant, dodged several jets of Formic Acid it sprayed, then vanished again only to reappear on Queen Ant's back. She aimed directly at the junction between its body and abdomen. Unfortunately, being a Third Level Evolved Creature, Queen Ant's body did not split open; although a deep wound appeared and blood flowed profusely, Liu You'er’s knife shattered into pieces.
The pheromone scent from Queen Ant was already strong; combined with the smell of its blood, it became the last straw that broke the camel's back. The Ant Army outside no longer hesitated and rushed in at high speed...
Liu You'er quickly discarded the knife handle and summoned another knife with her left hand. Unfortunately, it was too late; upon smelling Queen Ant's blood, the Ant Army disregarded any unpleasant scents. Their sole focus was on protecting Queen Ant and killing the intruder. Now they were less than ten meters away from Scarface; if she insisted on killing Queen Ant, Scarface would be doomed. Moreover, her Teleportation attempts were nearly exhausted, making it difficult for her to escape.
In anger, Liu You'er threw an Electric Ball into Queen Ant's body and Teleported next to Scarface, grabbing him tightly. In the next second, both of them vanished from their location just as the Ant Army arrived at where they had been moments before.
After Liu You'er and Scarface appeared at the cave entrance, Liu You'er immediately transformed back into her human form and knocked away the ants that were overwhelming Scarface, who had overexerted his Ability.
Scarface, seeing the light again, relaxed his body and knelt on the ground, gasping for fresh air. If he had waited even half a second longer, his defenses would have been breached. Fortunately! Fortunately! His eyes were sore, and just as he was about to burst into tears, he felt himself being lifted like a chick by the woman beside him. The sound of rushing Wind filled his ears, accompanied by a cold voice saying, "Shut up."
Scarface quickly silenced himself, his face turning red as he looked at the scenery rushing past him. He felt the collar tightening around his neck, making it hard to breathe. Just as he wanted to tell Liu You'er to put him down because he could still walk, he heard something chasing them from behind. Turning around, he was so frightened that he nearly wet himself.
Thousands of ants were chasing after them, their mandibles snapping and their eyes gleaming with ferocity, looking ready to tear them apart. They were moving at an incredibly fast speed, now less than twenty meters away.
Liu You'er could have shaken off these ants easily, but unfortunately, she couldn't transform into a Zombie right now and could only use seventy percent of her strength. She also couldn't let Scarface know that she could Teleportation, so she had to rely on her legs. It was already bad enough when she caught a whiff of a foul odor; a glance revealed that yellow liquid was dripping from Scarface's pants! Disgusted, she almost threw him away.
But thinking of Liu Yue and realizing that she might not be able to withstand ammunition attacks, she suppressed her disgust and held on tightly. However, the Ant Army was getting closer and closer. By the time they reached the foot of the mountain, there was barely over a meter left between them and the ants, which made Liu You'er feel anxious as she seriously considered whether to knock Scarface out and escape using Teleportation. Meanwhile, Scarface's face had turned pale, looking as if his life was about to end.
However, when Liu You'er ran out of the mountain's range, those ants suddenly stopped in their tracks and ceased their pursuit. After turning in circles for a moment, they returned up the mountain.
Seeing this scene made Liu You'er let out a slight "huh."
Scarface witnessed this scene as well; his previously defeated expression transformed back into excitement as he burst into laughter. But in the next second, he was disdainfully thrown five meters away by Liu You'er, landing heavily on the ground. Though he grimaced in pain, an excited smile still lingered on his face. The combination of these two expressions made his face contort in an indescribable way.
Seeing him like this made Liu You'er roll her eyes at him just as Liu Yue's cheerful voice echoed in her mind: "Sister! I've broken through another layer of Barrier!"
Liu You'er was taken aback; her first reaction was: "Why hasn't Liu Yue escaped my control even though she's at a higher level than me? Does controlling someone mean they won't break free even if their level is higher?"
"Sister? Sister? Why aren't you talking? Why are you so far away? Can I come find you? I miss you so much~ @¥%..."
"Ah?" Liu You'er finally came to her senses, listening to Liu Yue's long string of questions, feeling a bit overwhelmed. After thinking about the next plan, she hurriedly replied in her mind, "No need, no need. You just focus on evolving and upgrading over there. If you encounter humans, stay away, okay? I'll come back to find you after I finish my business."
"Oh."
Liu Yue's voice carried a hint of disappointment, but then it seemed like he thought of something else and became happy again. However, he didn't say much more and actively cut off the mental connection with Liu You'er.
Feeling the mental connection severed, Liu You'er found it a bit strange and thought, This guy is so clingy; usually, it's me who cuts off the connection. Why is he being so obedient this time? But with a hint of a fond smile on her lips, she shook her head and decided not to think too much about it.
In the empty warehouse, Liu Yue stood still in contemplation, his hand continuously stroking his chin. He pondered: Should I tell my sister that annoying guy is gone? Forget it; if he's gone, my sister is all mine!" With that thought, Liu Yue raised his signature sunny smile and decided to "forget" about it.
Liu You'er turned around and saw Scarface lying on the ground like a dead fish, completely motionless. With an indifferent expression, she coldly said, "I'll go to the parking area. You have half an hour to clean up and come find me. If you're even a minute late, you'll be going back to the ant nest."
Then she left Scarface behind without looking back as he lay there limp…
