Inside the Nuclear Power Plant, a petite Zombie trembled in place, occasionally glancing at the Zombie across from her. Noticing that the other Zombie had its eyes closed and seemed unaware of her presence, she prepared to secretly contact her master for help.
She closed her eyes but still couldn't reach her master, feeling anxious. However, due to her underdeveloped expression, others merely saw her scratching her face in a dazed manner.
This scratching Zombie was Xiaomin. After waking up, she realized she was on the verge of breaking through the second Barrier and felt ecstatic. She kicked Liu Yue beside her twice, thinking about finding her master first before happily running out of the warehouse. But before she could inform her master, she sensed a gaze locking onto her from a High-Level Zombie, which was far superior to the Zombies inside the warehouse.
She didn't dare to look back and immediately tried to escape, only to find herself unable to move an inch. Looking down, she discovered that everything below her knees was completely frozen. Slowly raising her head, she saw a white-haired male Zombie. Although this Zombie moved slowly, the pressure from its level terrified her.
Thinking that Liu Yue was closest and could come to rescue her quickly, she kept calling out for Liu Yue in her mind. However, he did not respond!
The Zombie stared at her for a while before slowly raising its hand. Terrified, she closed her eyes but felt only a light tap on her head without any further harm. Just as she thought she could feel relieved, she realized that her mental connection had failed. Then, this Zombie simply picked her up and carried her away... away...
She thought she was doomed to become food, but after throwing her aside, this Zombie closed its eyes and sat there without paying any attention to her until the ice on her calves melted into water...
During this time, she stubbornly tried again and again to reach her master but found it impossible. So she decided... to escape!!!
With the intellect of a three-year-old, she pondered for a moment and finally devised a perfect plan—one that almost made her applaud herself! The plan was as follows:
First, escape while the other party has its eyes closed.
Then, find Liu Yue.
After that, together find their master!!!

Excitement sparkled in her dazed eyes as she looked up once more at the closed-eyed Advanced Zombie and silently said goodbye.
—This phrase was taught to her by her master; every time the master left, they would say this to each other. Although she didn't understand its meaning, if she did, she certainly wouldn't say it!

At the parking area
Liu You'er walked slowly to the parking area and noticed that two cars were missing, likely taken by Wang Luojie and the others.
Glancing at her watch, she saw there were still twenty minutes left, so she wasn't in a hurry. She jumped into the SUV, settled in, took out a bottle of Well Water, and sipped while enjoying the scenery outside. The grass was lush and green, and the mountains and waters were beautiful. In less than two months, the air quality had improved significantly. Aside from the stench of the city, it was evident that without humans, nature wouldn't suffer so much harm. So was this disaster a punishment from nature?
Before Liu You'er could finish her thoughts, she heard Scarface running towards her, breathless and hurriedly asking, "Is it time? Is it time?"
"What time? Has this guy been scared silly? Seriously, he's interrupting my enjoyment of the scenery!" Liu You'er thought unhappily, completely forgetting her earlier "request," and shot an annoyed glance at Scarface.
Seeing Liu You'er's displeased expression made Scarface nearly kneel down in fear. He anxiously thought to himself, "Am I late?"
In the next moment, Liu You'er retracted her displeased expression and calmly said, "Give me the keys; you drive another car."
"Yes!"
After everything that had happened from the day before until now, Scarface's fear of Liu You'er had reached its peak. Hearing that he didn't have to share a car with her made him happy; he quickly handed over the keys.
Liu You'er took the keys and noticed that the gas tank was full. Satisfied, she nodded and followed behind Scarface's car. After her parents passed away, she inherited part of their shares and lived at her grandmother's house. When her grandmother died, she was sent to live with her aunt, who only wanted to take advantage of her shares. Since she didn't get along with her cousin either, she moved out during high school. Later she met Liu Yue and got her driver's license after finishing college entrance exams. During summer and winter breaks, she often went on road trips with Liu Yue, so her driving skills were decent. Besides, Scarface wouldn't dare play tricks on her.
However, not long after that, as Liu You'er watched the car ahead accelerate rapidly, she realized she had underestimated Scarface.
Furrowing her brows, she saw a ragged old man calling for help in the middle of the road. To her surprise, Scarface showed no hesitation and drove straight towards the old man. The old man dodged but fell to the ground and couldn't get up. If Liu You'er didn't stop the car in time, it would surely run over him! So she slammed on the brakes and stopped just one centimeter in front of the old man.
The old man lay on the ground with wide eyes in fear. A cold sweat trickled down his forehead.
Liu You'er looked at the old man and then fixed her gaze on the departing vehicle. Narrowing her eyes, a bloodthirsty glint flashed through them as she softly said, "A dog can't change its habit of eating shit."
Scarface saw Liu You'er parking and happily whistled, his face twisted with malice as he walked away.
Liu You'er, having no time and fearing that Scarface might notice something amiss, did not change her clothes and was still wearing that shirt. Although she had injuries and her clothes were a bit dirty, it could not conceal her beauty. In this apocalyptic world, everyone was in a state of disarray, so when the old man saw Liu You'er in the car, a fleeting look of surprise crossed his eyes, but it quickly returned to normal.
Liu You'er watched the old man, hunched over and trembling as he approached her car, with scratches on his hands. She raised an eyebrow but said nothing.
The old man looked at the expressionless Liu You'er and cautiously spoke in his hoarse, aged voice, "Miss, please... give me... something to eat or drink. I... haven't had anything for almost two days... I'm begging you..."
Hearing the old man's weak tone, Liu You'er let out a cold laugh, too lazy to respond. She pushed the old man to the ground and drove off. However, after just a couple of meters, the car that had seemed full of gas suddenly indicated that the tank was empty. At that moment, more than a dozen people surrounded the car, grinning menacingly at her from inside.
The old man who had been pushed down instantly sprang up as if nothing had happened. He dusted off his clothes and walked confidently to the front of the car. His previously shaky steps were now agile, and his voice was no longer hoarse but clear and slightly alluring, yet oddly harmonious. His appearance remained unchanged; he still looked like an old man but spoke to Liu You'er in a tone tinged with feigned sorrow: "Beautiful lady~ you really pushed me hard; it hurt like hell~"
Upon hearing this, Liu You'er felt a chill run down her spine. Realizing that staying in the car was futile, she opened the door and stepped out. Under the old man's playful gaze, she said, "Either give me back my gas or die; choose one."
At these words, both the "old man" and his accomplices were taken aback for a moment. The next second, his companions burst into laughter while the old man's smirk only deepened.
Liu You'er frowned and was about to use her Ability when she caught a whiff of a fragrance. She quickly covered her mouth and nose, but her vision began to blur...
