"Hey hey~"
The Little Zombie watched as the wounds on Liu You'er increased, and its expression grew more excited. It couldn't help but lick the blood on its hands, looking utterly intoxicated, as if what it held was not fresh blood, but cream.
Liu You'er looked at its entranced expression and felt an impulse to taste her own blood. She was embarrassed by the thought for a moment before continuing to attack Little Zombie.
Although she felt like she was bullying a child every time she attacked, in reality, she was the one being bullied! She didn't know if it was because children had a strong ability to absorb the virus or what, but this little one was incredibly clever.
This Little Zombie had likely been hiding in the supermarket all along. However, before she discovered it, it had already noticed her and cleverly concealed its presence so that she wouldn't find it. Being a mid-level Zombie, it exerted more pressure than she did, and those Zombies would listen to its commands first.
After commanding those Zombies to "listen to the intruder," it hid away. Otherwise, even if she hadn't sensed it before, those Zombies wouldn't have listened to her!
What a cunning Zombie! Not only that, but it had probably been observing her in secret. When it saw her trying to protect the people downstairs, it turned off the Power Switch, luring her into its trap.
Due to the unstable lighting in the supermarket, she didn't think much of it and assumed there had been a power outage. Little did she know! It played right into this little brat's hands, launching a sneak attack from behind. If not for the fact that Zombies couldn't hide their presence when attacking, she would have been cut down!
However, what was strange was that, first, although this Zombie was mid-level, it managed to resist the temptation of flesh downstairs and commanded those Zombies to listen to "the intruder" before she arrived. If the opponent were an adult, one could barely accept that as a sign of intelligence recovery. But this one was just a five or six-year-old child; even if its intelligence were fully restored, that wouldn't be possible!
Second, if her strength were higher than his, hiding and observing could be understandable. But he clearly had more power than her and didn't need to hide to launch a sneak attack.
Third, every move of this Little Zombie seemed meticulously guided rather than relying solely on instinct like other Zombies.
The fourth and most important point is that this Zombie will immediately dodge every time she uses her Ability, without fail!
How can she fight like this? Could it be that this Zombie's Ability is foresight?!
Thoughts raced through her mind, but she had no clue.
However, the Little Zombie did not give her any time to think. Seeing her in a daze, it charged at her, who was cornered, with fierce and relentless attacks that she couldn't evade.
Yet, its attack fell right into the trap Liu You'er had set.
"Slash!"
The sharp claws tore through the white wall paint and into the gray wall, leaving a deep scratch ten centimeters long.
"Huh?"
Looking at the empty wall in front of it, the Little Zombie let out a strange sound.
At this moment, Liu You'er was sprinting while carrying the unconscious Lu Feng and using Teleportation, fearing that the little monster would catch up from behind.
You ask about the trap? Please, managing to escape already counts as digging a successful pit for that little monster. What more could she want? To beat it down? Her Ability was useless against it, and she had no idea what its Ability was. How ridiculous! Fortunately, she still had this escape technique!
Ten minutes later, Liu You'er entered a forest, constantly on guard and observing her surroundings, afraid that the Little Zombie would come after her.
Suddenly, a whisper came from the person being held in Liu You'er's hands. Hearing this, she quickly brought him closer to her eyes, only to find his face pale, his body trembling uncontrollably, and the Pupil in his eyes nearly gone, with his nails slowly turning black.
This situation left Liu You'er stunned. Although she hadn't seen what had happened earlier, since the Zombie had lost control, she could roughly guess what had occurred. However, with her abilities, how had he managed to evade the Horde and squeeze into a ventilation duct over three meters high?!
In her haste to escape and rescue him, she hadn't checked his condition. Now she noticed numerous dark wounds on his body, clearly indicating he had been infected by a Zombie!
Quickly, she laid him down flat on the grass, her heart racing. What was happening?! After finally rescuing him, he was turning into a Zombie?
Liu You'er crouched down and frowned at the person lying on the ground. After hesitating for a moment, she resolved to leave. After all, she had heard that even the research institute had no antidote; staying here wouldn't help her at all. Plus, there was still the threat of that Little Zombie.
Just as she turned to leave, her hand was tightly grasped by Lu Feng. He looked pained but continued to squeeze out the words between clenched teeth: "Save... me... save... me!"
Feeling frustrated, Liu You'er helplessly replied, "I want to too!!! But I really can't do anything! I'm sorry!"
As he struggled against her grip, she was surprised to find that she couldn't break free; his hand was full of veins bulging with strength.
Liu You'er's expression changed as she felt confused. In her impression, this person had a very weak personality; how could he possess such a strong will to survive? Did everyone act like this before dying?
Should she save him?
A thought suddenly surged in her mind. Perhaps she...
