Liu Yue stood at the back, flanked by respectful metallic mutated Third-Level Zombies guarding him.

Meanwhile, the Common Zombies inexplicably crawled on the ground to avoid bullets.
This method not only reduced the death rate of the Zombies but also changed their previously suppressed state, slowly closing the distance to the base.
Seeing this situation, Li Lei began to sweat coldly. He had just anticipated a result against normal Zombies!
However, this group of Zombies before him was not just an army; they were organized and disciplined...
"Organized?"
His gaze turned fierce as he turned around and grabbed the collar of a Researcher cowering in the corner, lifting him off the ground outside the city wall.

"Report! Commander Li! The Zombies are less than 400 meters away from us!" Yi Shibing shouted anxiously.
Li Lei became even more furious upon hearing this. Just as he was about to smash the intercom and disregard Wei Yuan's orders, he heard Wei Yuan say, "Remove the black cloth from the specimen and place it by the city wall."

At the same time, the Zombies no longer maintained their formation. All Advanced Zombies leaped forward, using Common Zombies to shield themselves as they rushed toward the base...

A piercing scream successfully halted the actions of the Horde.
Liu Yue stared blankly at Liu You'er, whose face was contorted in agony as she struggled in pain. Instinctively, he broke his control over the Horde, unsure of what to do next.
Li Lei noticed the halted Horde and breathed a sigh of relief. Although he found it strange that this Zombie felt threatened, there was no time to investigate. He shouted to Liu Yue, "If you withdraw the undead tide, I won't torment her. Otherwise!"
He exchanged a glance with A Researcher, who immediately injected the toxin from the syringe into Liu You'er.
Her previously relaxed expression twisted back into one of agony.
Liu Yue didn't fully understand Li Lei's words, but seeing the scene before him, he grasped the situation and quickly withdrew the undead tide without hesitation.
Before long, only Liu Yue remained as the sole Zombie in front of the entire base.
