Liu You'er's icy expression finally showed a crack after witnessing the behavior of the Foolish Chicken, but it lasted only a second.
Although she lost interest in saving the Foolish Chicken, she still rushed towards the Queen Ant, after all, she was counting on this Foolish Chicken to continue its lineage.
Surrounded by the shimmering White Current, she formed a circular shield around herself, and in her hand appeared a two-meter-long bolt of lightning that changed shape according to her will, striking towards the Queen Ant.
"Zzz~"
Several streams of Formic Acid shot towards Liu You'er, but she paid no attention, not even glancing at them. After all, she was already at Third Level, and with the electric shield surrounding her, those Second-Level Worker Ants' Formic Acid couldn't touch her at all.
So she didn't notice that after the Queen Ant violently waved its antennae, the Worker Ants did not launch a more intense attack but instead stopped their assault.
"Zzz~"
The electric whip transformed its shape in an instant as it struck towards the Queen Ant, forming a right-angled blade that pierced directly into the Queen Ant's hard shell. Then, at the moment it broke through the shell, it reverted to its current form and drilled into the Queen Ant's body through the opening, causing widespread destruction and making the Queen Ant thrash its antennae in pain.
Next, at the moment of landing, she stepped on the head of a one-meter-tall Worker Ant, one foot on each.
With two crisp sounds of "crack crack," the heads of both Worker Ants were crushed. The Queen Ant's body tilted slightly before being carried away by four remaining massive Worker Ants in retreat.
"Can you escape?"
A cold smile appeared on Liu You'er's lips. She had sensed that this group of ants was a hidden danger last time; unfortunately, her strength was insufficient. This time, she would definitely not let them escape!
With a Teleportation, she appeared beside a Worker Ant and first used the electric knife coiling around her hand to slice this Worker Ant in half. Without pausing for a moment, she vanished from her original spot and reappeared next to another ant, a glint of cold light appearing in her eyes.
Three seconds later, the four Worker Ants were cut in half, yet they twitched on the ground because their nerves had not completely died.
"Ha~"
Liu You'er looked at the dead Worker Ants, sneered, and turned her gaze to the Queen Ant, whose reflection was visible in her eyes. She raised her knife and waved it, saying cheerfully, "Hi~ Nice to see you again~"
"…"
If Liu You'er hadn't acted quickly, she would have almost chopped the Foolish Chicken standing in the middle of the Queen Ant's waist.
Watching the chicken jump around protectively beside the Queen Ant, which was a hundred times larger than itself, and squawking in dissatisfaction, she raised an eyebrow in confusion. Sitting on top of the Queen Ant, she brought it closer to her and scanned its brain with her Mental Power, discovering that it had not been invaded.
After thinking for a second, she finally sensed something strange. She glanced at the obedient Queen Ant beneath her, which showed no signs of resistance, then looked at the chicken and incredulously said, "Inter-species romance?!"
Queen Ant: "…"
Chicken: "…"
Liu You'er disdainfully glanced at the Foolish Chicken, struggling to understand what was wrong with these Evolved Creatures; their expressions were just too…
She jumped down from the Queen Ant's body and stood in front of it without any apparent defenses, but in reality, she was fully alert. If the Queen Ant made any move, she would immediately take it down!
As time slowly passed, finally, the Queen Ant moved. Liu You'er instantly appeared ten meters away but found that it merely turned around and began digging something in a corner with its heavy limbs.
Liu You'er observed the ant swarm around her that remained still; her wary expression gradually faded. However, she still activated her electrical defense before approaching the Queen Ant.
She saw the chicken jump off the Queen Ant's body, landing in mud but still looking excited as it clucked at itself. It then ran over to the Queen Ant and flapped its Wings as if cheering it on, drawing Liu You'er's disdain.
Finally, a plastic bottle rolled out, presented like a treasure by Queen Ant, and came to a stop in front of Liu You'er, who looked at it with anticipation.
Liu You'er gazed at the plastic bottle she had previously used to collect well water, her eyes narrowing as if she had come to a realization. She said, "Evolve well," and turned to leave the cave.
The chicken, seeing this, hurriedly chased after Liu You'er. Meanwhile, Queen Ant noticed Liu You'er was about to leave and began to wave her antennae. The ant swarm received the signal and automatically parted to create a pathway.
"Coo! Coo!" (Where are you going? Take me with you!)
Liu You'er didn't look back as the Foolish Chicken flapped its wings behind her. A Well Water appeared in her hand, and an inquisitive light shone in her eyes as she walked deeper into the forest, fully alert.
Unfortunately, after nearly ten minutes of searching, she had not encountered any other mutated creatures, apart from the incessant clucking of the Foolish Chicken behind her.
She stopped and decided not to search for mutated animals anymore because she had a better plan that would save her energy.
Stopping in her tracks, she cast an evil glance at the chicken, and a sturdy rope appeared in her hand.
One minute later
"Coo! Coo!" (What are you doing tying me up? Are you crazy?!)
Liu You'er ignored it, concealed her presence, and in the next moment appeared a kilometer away. She then hung the chicken from a tree.
"Coo!!!" (Pervert! Why are you hanging me? You can't be planning to use me as bait!!!)
Liu You'er realized that she was slowly beginning to understand what the chicken meant.
She glanced at it with slight appreciation and affirmation before disappearing from sight, sitting on a nearby tree waiting for her prey.
The chicken noticed that Liu You'er had not only disappeared but also felt no presence, slowly stopping its frantic movements and anxiously clucked, "Cluck?" (Did you really leave me here?)
Liu You'er completely ignored it, sitting on a tree branch, opening her consciousness to observe the surroundings.
An hour passed with no creatures approaching, except for the angry clucking of Foolish Chicken.
Two hours went by, and still no creatures appeared; Foolish Chicken's calls grew weaker.
Three hours later, four creatures appeared in the distance, catching Liu You'er's attention, but Foolish Chicken had fallen asleep!
A coin appeared in her hand and "swished" down towards Foolish Chicken.
"Cluck cluck cluck!!!" (Ouch! Who ambushed me!!!)
Liu You'er sensed the creatures rushing over after hearing its loud cry and a cold smile appeared on her lips.
Finally, they arrived.
Liu You'er and Foolish Chicken stared at the four creatures in shock. Foolish Chicken thought: I always believed that madman would kill me; I never expected to be eaten by such disgusting creatures.
Liu You'er pondered: These wolves... they don't seem to be Evolved Creatures but rather mutated beings?!
Although those ants had grown larger and evolved Formic Acid, they were still ants without any decay. However, these wolves...
They clearly resembled Zombies, with not only rotting skin but also patches of fur missing, revealing red skin underneath. Their fangs were sharper, and liquid dripped from their mouths. Liu You'er could smell their stench even from ten meters above the ground.
Despite their outwardly similar grotesqueness, upon closer inspection, three of the Zombie Wolves had only whites in their eyes, appearing to be First-Level Mutated Wolves. The leader had a hint of a Pupil in its eye; it should be a Second-Level Mutated Wolf.
Liu You'er looked at the Foolish Chicken, which was about five meters off the ground, and decided to hold back for now.
She had heard about mutated creatures at the base; they were stronger than human Zombies and Ability users of the same level because once they became Zombies, they were Second-Level.
Moreover, their rate of evolving abilities was ten times that of humans, meaning that out of ten, one would have an Ability.
However, that Foolish Chicken was so scared of the Zombie Wolf on the ground that it almost wet itself and didn't have time to analyze the situation.
Additionally, Liu You'er hadn't informed it of the plan in advance, leaving it feeling quite insecure!
Suddenly, the Second-Level Zombie Wolf let out a low growl, and three First-Level Zombie Wolves surrounded the Foolish Chicken, all jumping towards it, causing it to hurriedly close its eyes in fear.
After a while, realizing there was no movement, it cautiously opened its eyes and found that the three wolves couldn't reach it at all! Hahaha!
The three wolves jumped several times but soon realized this as well and continued to jump persistently.
"Roar!"
The Second-Level Mutated Wolf couldn't stand watching the chicken act smug anymore and decided to take matters into its own hands!
With a leap, it jumped next to the Foolish Chicken and opened its foul-smelling Big Mouth to bite down on it...
