“Xuan Mo?!”
Liu You'er looked at Xuan Mo riding on the Evolved Wolf, with Little Red standing on his shoulder. Her expression froze for a moment, then she took a step back and said warily, “How did you find me?”
Before Xuan Mo could respond, Little Red excitedly flew towards Liu You'er, but before it could reach her, it was violently swatted away and crashed into a tree, nearly falling apart from the pain.
At that moment, it completely forgot about its own pain and stared in shock at Liu You'er, who didn’t even glance at it, her expression cold and her gaze icy in a way it had never seen before.
Seeing this scene, Xuan Mo was taken aback. He hurriedly dismounted from the two-meter-tall Evolved Wolf, knelt on one knee, lowered his head, and said in a slightly flustered tone, “I do not know what I have done wrong. Please enlighten me, Lord of the City.”
“Whoosh~”
A gentle breeze swept through, rustling the leaves in the forest. A dry leaf was blown down, swirling gracefully between the two before landing on the ground.
Liu You'er looked at Xuan Mo’s fearful demeanor and sneered, “I’ve been wondering what you meant by three sides. Now that I see you, I finally understand~”
Hearing Liu You'er’s words, Xuan Mo looked up with a confused expression and said, “Lord of the City... What are you talking about? I don’t understand.”
“Ha~”
Liu You'er watched his convincing act and couldn’t help but chuckle lightly. “The first time, you pretended to be an old man to gain my sympathy. The second time, you disguised yourself as Wang Yan to probe my strength. The third time, you acted as a gatekeeper to let me into the base. So, do you want to keep pretending? After a brief silence, Xuan Mo slowly stood up from the ground, brushed off the dirt from his knees, took out a small pill from his pocket, looked at it regretfully, and pretended to be heartbroken as he said, “Oh no~ I can’t eat this pill anymore~ What a waste of materials~”
He turned around, looking at the faint killing intent emanating from Liu You'er, and with his magnetic voice, he said, "Not bad~ a bit faster than I expected. But how did you guess?"
"Why should I tell you?"
Hearing Liu You'er’s response, Xuan Mo's eyes flashed with interest. He shrugged innocently and said, "Then I guess that's it~"
Seeing that he didn't press further, Liu You'er’s gaze flickered with a hint of something unusual as she coldly said, "W Doctor and Wei Yuan, are they in cahoots?"
"Mm?"
Upon hearing this, Xuan Mo's mind raced, but he still took a moment to think before slowly replying, "Yes~ or maybe not. What does it have to do with you?"
Liu You'er remained unfazed by his words and continued with an unchanged expression, "Last time, didn’t you ask me to repay W Doctor? I need to know if he is a friend or foe!"
Xuan Mo's eyes flickered uncertainly as he raised an eyebrow in surprise and said, "Are you implying that you want to repay a favor?"
Liu You'er smiled slightly but maintained a cold demeanor as she replied, "Then it's up to your answer!"
The two locked eyes in an unspoken challenge, testing each other for several rounds. Finally, Xuan Mo smiled, took a pill, and returned to his usual charming demeanor. He elegantly walked to a spot 1.5 meters in front of Liu You'er, stopped, raised his hand, and said, "Then welcome aboard~"
This statement implied that W Doctor and Wei Yuan had no connection.
Liu You'er raised an enigmatic smile and grasped Xuan Mo's hand.
"Aw~"
A brief yet painful howl from a wolf echoed, causing both of them to pause and look in the direction of the sound.
However, they found that the wolf had already vanished, leaving only a pool of blood behind, while all around them, countless crimson lights glimmered, watching them with predatory intent!
The two exchanged surprised glances and said in unison, "Isn't that your monkey controlling it?"

Upon hearing the same words from each other, they both fell silent for a moment before simultaneously saying, "I can't control mutated animals!"

Liu You'er felt a jolt in her forehead and was just about to use Teleportation to leave when she realized she… seemed unable to do so.
The reason she had come here was that a month ago, while searching for animal testing water, she discovered a strange magnetic field that prevented her from using Teleportation. Xuan Mo saw Liu You'er's stiff expression and guessed her thoughts. Just as he was about to provoke her into asking for his help, he noticed a Mutated Monkey, roughly the size of a human and incredibly muscular, appearing twenty meters ahead.
From its muscular condition and the integrity of its body, it could already rival the mid-level mutated animals in the laboratory.
However, those high-level creatures in the lab were all carefully selected and required countless Energy Cores and equipment to upgrade so quickly. Moreover, out of a thousand, there might not even be one. But this one...
His eyes darkened as he calmed down. After a quick mental calculation, he softly said to Liu You'er, "Aren't you good at running away? Why aren't you running now?"
"…"
Liu You'er reacted in less than a second and replied matter-of-factly, "I can't just leave an ally I’m meeting for the first time behind."
Hearing Liu You'er say this, Xuan Mo grinned mischievously at her. Under the fierce gaze of the approaching Mutated Monkey, he slowly leaned closer to Liu You'er and whispered in her ear, "Its tail is its weak point!"
Then, a Golden Dagger inexplicably appeared in his hand as he engaged in a fierce battle with the charging Mutated Monkey. They exchanged blows in the dim environment, where even shadows were hard to discern.
At the same time, other monkeys opened their gaping mouths and jumped down from the trees toward Liu You'er.
Due to their overwhelming numbers, it looked from a distance as if Liu You'er was trapped under an impenetrable dome.
Yet Liu You'er’s eyes were filled with determination. As the monkeys above her were only a centimeter away, White Lightning erupted from within her...
