The smell of blood grew stronger, but here...
Liu You'er’s eyes glimmered with a red light as she looked at the makeshift Survivor Base in front of her. She simply could not understand how such a rudimentary village, with wooden fences, could survive for so long in a post-apocalyptic world.
Moreover, calling it a village was an exaggeration; it could barely accommodate over a hundred people at most.
She cautiously sneaked around and discovered that these people were peacefully asleep in their tents.
However! There wasn’t even a guard at the entrance!
“Ah! Help…”
Suddenly, a man’s scream was cut off before it could fully escape his lips, sounding particularly jarring in the stillness of the night.
At the same time, the nauseating scent belonging to Wei Yuan faintly wafted into Liu You'er’s nose, intensifying the dark red glow in her eyes.
“Ah, don’t kill me!”
“Bang~”
“Help!”
“……”
The sounds of human screams began to rise and fall, as those engaged in the slaughter continuously shifted positions, trying to buy time for Liu You'er to find them. The only constant was that wherever they went, rivers of blood followed.
Suddenly, Liu You'er spotted the corpse of a child, around ten years old, covered in wounds with bruises on their face. Her fists involuntarily clenched.

The person reveling in the killing suddenly sensed a feeling of crisis and leaned to the side. However, the opponent's attack was too swift, leaving a deep wound on their waist.
Liu You'er looked at the back of this person, frowning slightly, as Wei Yuan's presence had vanished, replaced by another familiar figure.
This person lowered her head to examine her wound, a charming smile curling at the corners of her mouth. She slowly turned to Liu You'er and said, "Hi~ Long time no see."
She still had that alluring voice and an impressive figure, but there was a patch of skin on her cheek that resembled animal hide, which was quite disgusting.
"Lisa."
Seeing her appearance, Liu You'er’s expression darkened. Unsure of what to think, she raised her head after two seconds and asked, "When did you get involved with Wei Yuan... no, I mean W Doctor?"
Lisa sensed Liu You'er’s cold demeanor and smiled even more seductively. With her arms crossed over her chest, she accentuated her curves, and the wound on her body began to heal at a visibly rapid pace.
In a chilling tone, she said, "Originally, I wanted to settle our scores first~ but now is not the time. You should think of an excuse for that little beauty." After saying this, she swiftly darted away, blending into the surroundings like a chameleon. Liu You'er wanted to chase after her, but suddenly a figure rushed out to block her. In response, she lashed out with an electric whip, warm blood splattering over her body. She paused in shock for a second; when she looked up again, Lisa had already run far away.
"Human?"
At this moment, Liu You'er confirmed her thoughts; it turned out Lisa had been plotting this all along. Did she really think Liu You'er would still care about those humans?
"It really is you!"
Zhao Ling exclaimed in shock as she looked at the woman ahead. When she first saw that human village, she hadn’t thought much of it; she assumed it was just another Thunder Element Ability user.
However, during her second visit, she suddenly realized that the timing of the Zombie deaths coincided perfectly with Liu You'er's disappearance. Moreover, the footprint on the gate of the human base was the same size as Liu Youer's.
So tonight, while Liu You'er was still around, she came to the next Survivor Base.
This base was small; on the map it was merely a black dot that would be easy to miss if one wasn't paying attention. Yet she decided to take a gamble; perhaps Liu You'er wouldn’t show up.
When she saw Liu You'er at the entrance of the base, she still wanted to believe in her. Why... why?
Watching Liu You'er kill that person without hesitation filled her heart with a sense of betrayal and anger.
How could she deceive everyone? How could she be so cruel? The rumors about her that were once dismissed as jokes now seem to hold some truth!
Liu You'er watched Zhao Ling's clenched fists and the anger flickering in her eyes, feeling a mix of amusement and sadness. She was indeed naive, easily misled and deceived.
Liu You'er had suspected something when she saw Lisa's white hair, but seeing Zhao Ling's betrayed expression made it clear that she had already accepted the outcome. So why bother explaining?
Zhao Ling looked at Liu You'er, who walked past her without a word of explanation, and her anger surged.
"Bang!"
Dozens of metal lightsabers shot towards Liu You'er. She remained expressionless as they pierced through her, disappearing from sight, leaving Zhao Ling stunned before she realized it was just an afterimage. She quickly turned around, only to feel a gust of wind approaching from behind.
"Thud!"
Zhao Ling was knocked back and fell to the ground, but thanks to her timely use of Ability for defense, she was unharmed. Her anger intensified as she frantically attacked Liu You'er.
Seeing Zhao Ling retaliate, Liu You'er began to fight back as well. They exchanged blows, both sustaining injuries, but Zhao Ling had fewer wounds, which only fueled her rage further.
"Aren't you supposed to be ruthless? Why are you holding back? Are you pretending..."
Her emotions were running high, revealing a flaw in her defense. Before she could finish her sentence, Liu You'er seized the opportunity and struck the back of her neck, causing her to faint immediately.
Liu You'er looked at the unconscious figure before her and took Zhao Ling back to her residence. She found Xuan Mo waiting in the living room. Upon seeing Liu You'er return with the unconscious Zhao Ling, he showed no surprise.
"I'll keep an eye on her; you can go," Xuan Mo said.
Hearing his words, Liu You'er cast him a cold glance before turning to leave. What was the point of asking him what role he played or how much effort he contributed? After all, they were never on the same side from the beginning; she would kill him sooner or later.
Xuan Mo watched Liu You'er turn away without hesitation and smiled helplessly. Although he had long known that she completely distrusted him, her merciless demeanor still made him feel sad...
I want to pursue, but I can't just leave Zhao Ling alone here; after all, she is the precious jewel of Zhao Commander. I can only send her back to the base before going after Liu You'er.
Early Morning
The cold wind howled, and dark clouds gathered as Liu You'er returned to the base littered with corpses. Without a hint of fear, she moved among them, inspecting the bodies on the ground.
"Indeed..."
She murmured as she looked at the corpse of a child. The bruises on it resembled those from a beating, but upon closer inspection, she noticed small needle marks that were all too familiar.
They were just like the wounds from when she was injected with drugs in the laboratory, which meant...
After turning over several bodies, she found that many had similar needle marks, and some had stitched-up bellies that were completely empty inside.
These people are Test Subjects!
After reaching this conclusion, Liu You'er slowly stood up and walked to a tree. Looking up coldly, she said, "It's hard to find people now, isn't it? You really have a big hand in this. But you better keep hiding like a turtle; as soon as you show your head, I will definitely take you down so you can never rise again!"

Wei Yuan held Little Zombie, who was munching on meat, while looking at the darkened screen with a cheerful mood. Seeing blood trickle from Little Zombie's mouth, he gently wiped it away.
