"Just don't kill him."
Liu Xinxuan reiterated lazily, watching the flames in front of her, listening to the rising and falling screams, and smelling the blood in the air. She realized that this was the happiest she had felt in over twenty years.
The power to command without question, the freedom to inflict violence, shedding the mask of kindness, and most importantly, completely trampling Liu You'er underfoot!
She took a deep breath, feeling that the self who had been hidden deep within her—self-deprecating, hypocritical, and overlooked—was finally released, merging with her soul.
"So refreshing!"
She murmured uncontrollably, her gaze cold and merciless, filled with cruelty and joy. At that moment, she reveled in it as if she was meant to be this way from birth.
Although... too many people had been sacrificed.
Her mother, father, sister, and countless faces—some remembered, some forgotten—flashed through her mind.
"Hah~"
Her light pink lips curled into a beautiful arc.
"Not a single one of these people..."
"Ah ah ah~"
The Pale Man suddenly screamed, interrupting Liu Xinxuan's words. As she moved the earpiece away and turned to scold him, she only saw his corpse.
A large chunk of flesh was torn from his neck, looking as if it had been bitten. His chest was a dark hole, with Heart rolling beside him, covered in dirt like discarded trash.
"Where's Liu You'er?"
She was startled; it had only taken a second from hearing the sound to turning around. Where did she go?
On the other side
"Zila~"
The wind blade scraped against the man's arm, producing an unpleasant noise, yet the green skin showed no signs of injury. At the same time, a slender shadow pierced through Xuan Mo's shoulder.
A small Lizard Man licked the blood from its lips, hiding behind the strong man, concealing its presence.
The man frowned and mocked, "Using the same trick again, trying to break my arm?"
"Hmph~"
He lifted the injured Xuan Mo, his tone filled with hatred as he said, "With this monstrous appearance of mine, I'm specifically here to deal with you. Even if you're stronger than me, so what? Right now, you're outnumbered and mentally disturbed. How can you fight me!"
"Bang!"
After saying that, he swung his hand heavily, and Xuan Mo was sent flying until he crashed into two trees as thick as bowls before falling to the ground, spitting blood.
However, he showed no concern for his wounds and immediately got up to protect an old woman in the opposite direction. With a spinning kick, the bear-like man couldn't dodge in time and had his head severed, his body crashing heavily to the ground.
"Cough cough~ Let's go!"
Xuan Mo carefully pushed the old woman away and half-knelt on the ground, saying, "Go!"
The old woman was already scared silly, tears streaming down her face. Trembling, she watched as another person approached Xuan Mo with a hostile demeanor and ran back with red-rimmed eyes.
Seeing the old woman return, Xuan Mo gasped for breath and heard her say, "Old Woman: I've lived long enough; how can I leave you behind? You have to come with me; otherwise, it will be a great sin!"
"Hmph~"
The towering man looked at this scene and sneered, "Is it these ants that make you soft-hearted? This isn't like your style. Speaking of which, you're really pathetic today; you've disappointed me! It's time to show your true strength!"
Before he could finish his words, he charged at the old man, his fist swinging down hard.
"Thud."
He froze, staring at the woman who suddenly appeared in front of him, barely reaching his chest, narrowing his eyes.
She expressionlessly grasped his fist, her beautiful Cat Eyes gleaming with a cold crimson light.
He knew that his punch weighed a ton; how could she possibly…? Moreover, the drug injected into her could incapacitate an Ability user directly. Although she was half an Ability user, the dosage was double; she should have lost her abilities.
He frowned and tried to pull his hand back, only to find he couldn't. Terrifyingly, his arm was being twisted involuntarily.
"Crack."
The sound of bones grinding together made him wince in pain, forcing him to kneel on one knee as he shouted angrily at the person behind him, "Damn it! Kill her for me..."
"Sizzle."
"Ah~~~"
The man's arm was twisted and broken, then yanked off his body with force. The other three—one was a Werewolf, another a Leopard Man, and the last a Lizardman—charged toward Liu You'er.
Liu You'er tilted her head; the images in her eyes were not human faces but rather something resembling thermal imaging—three grotesque figures.
She stepped forward, first grabbing the Werewolf's arm and pulling him toward her. With her other hand, she plunged it into his Heart. Immediately after, the Leopard Man followed suit and swiped at her.
She had already positioned the Werewolf's body in front of her. When the Leopard Man swiped at him, the Werewolf's body quickly shattered into pieces. However, Liu You'er was not where she should have been; a bolt of White Lightning shot through the gap in the corpse toward him, incinerating him into a pile of black ash.
Seeing the situation turn dire, the Lizardman retracted its tongue and prepared to flee but was caught by its tail. With determination, it broke free and vanished from sight to escape.
Xuan Mo watched this scene with her mouth slightly agape.
Everything happened too quickly, in just three seconds, the most astonishing thing to him was.
"Poof"
He saw Liu You'er pull out the werewolf's Heart, chewing on it as she walked toward the man whose arm had been torn off again.
"Ugh ugh ugh~ I'm going to kill you!"
The man was drenched in sweat, painfully clutching the stump of his arm and rolling on the ground. When he saw Liu You'er approaching, he hurriedly jumped up but stumbled awkwardly due to his lack of balance.
"The strength I used to take pride in, but this monster!"
He watched as Liu You'er stared blankly at him, taking bites of the Heart that belonged to his companion and slowly licking the blood off her hands. Sweat poured down his face, making it hard to tell whether it was from pain or fear.
However, he had seen plenty of brutal scenes before, and now fueled by the hatred of his severed arm, these emotions temporarily suppressed the fear in his heart.
Suddenly, he caught a glimpse of a baby sleeping in a cradle behind a tree.
"Hmph~"
A smirk appeared on his lips as he dashed toward the tree, and at the same time, Liu You'er charged toward him as well.
"Don't move, or I'll kill this child!"
"Rumble rumble"
He felt as if the space around him twisted like a wormhole, and then countless bolts of lightning struck toward him.
"Don't!"
"Bang!"
The man's body exploded from the electric shock, and the child disappeared as well, leaving only a mass of flesh on the ground, indistinguishable from one another.
"Child!"
The old woman, witnessing this scene, lunged towards Liu You'er, wanting to strike her. However, seeing Liu covered in blood and in a dazed state, she couldn't bring herself to do it. Instead, she grabbed Liu's shoulders and shook her repeatedly, crying out, "There’s still a child! There’s still a child! Liu You'er, how could you!"
Xuan Mo finally saw Liu You'er clearly—not just her appearance but the color of her pupils. They were constricted. He rushed forward to pull the old woman back behind him, his eyes filled with pain and conflict.
The old woman was gasping for breath, weakly kneeling in front of the mass of flesh, muttering about "sin and suffering."
"Liu... Liu You'er?"
Xuan Mo called out tentatively, but there was no response from her. It seemed she was torn between whether to kill them or not. It wasn't until a scream came from another direction that her ears twitched, and she turned to walk towards that sound.
At the location of the scream,
Liu Xinxuan listened quietly to the report from the Lizard Man, her fists clenched tightly and her face contorted as she spoke into her earpiece: "Everyone, assemble!"
Suddenly, a sound came from her wrist— it was a call from W Doctor.
She frowned and answered, hearing on the other end: "The plan has changed. Eliminate her!"
