Rek, as a special recruit of the Dark Space Super Soldier Academy, applied for a high loan and used his Wrist Communicator to book a ticket to the Ancient Capital, a technological tourist town under the Star Alliance Federation.
Riding the Maglev Train specifically heading to the Ancient Capital, Rek checked the introduction of this tech town through his Wrist Communicator.
"Ancient Capital: A tourist destination belonging to a High-Fidelity Robot development project under the Star Alliance's Lanstor Foundation. In the Ancient Capital, you will find a place resembling an Ancient City, populated by numerous High-Fidelity Robots. Entering the Ancient Capital feels like stepping back into an ancient city, away from the noise of technology, returning to nature, relaxing your mind, and fully enjoying a different kind of ancient life. You can choose to experience the battles of ancient swordsmen or accompany classical beauties with chivalrous spirits, or explore the tranquility and uniqueness of ancient life—"
As Rek read about the Ancient Capital, he noted that this development team controlled by the Lanstor Foundation had manufactured a large number of robots mimicking ancient humans. When it opened twenty years ago, it attracted many high-end tourists with its imitation of ancient life. Although the prices for tickets at various levels were astonishingly high and completely unaffordable for ordinary citizens of the Star Alliance, many new and returning high-end travelers still visited every year.
Rek's previous savings were not even one-tenth of the ticket price. Fortunately, his special admission into the Dark Space Super Soldier Academy allowed him to easily secure a substantial amount of Star Alliance currency.
In his previous life, until the Alien Species repelled the coalition of the Dark Space Alliance Federation and the Glorious Empire and attacked the Main Plane of Earth through spatial connection points during the mid-war period, it was only then that an alternative robot with self-awareness—the Moon Goddess, daughter of Hua Tuo—emerged in this previously established tourist town by the Lanstor Foundation.
This Moon Goddess's Ancient Medicine had evolved in certain aspects far beyond the existing medical technology of the Star Alliance Federation. With just a few pricks from her Golden Needle, she could stimulate human potential within about a minute, significantly enhancing a Star Alliance Federation warrior's physical attributes.
However, it was unfortunate that later on, in order to acquire the Moon Goddess's Acupuncture methods to enhance their soldiers' abilities, Lanstor Foundation sent doctors as apprentices who failed to learn from her. They ultimately dismantled this Moon Goddess robot. The Golden Needle technique that enhanced physical attributes without side effects also disappeared. Until Lanstor Foundation was overrun by the Alien Horde later on, Rek had not heard of them having powerful soldiers with enhanced physical attributes participating in battles; it seemed that their attempt to collect Acupuncture Techniques during the dismantling of Moon Goddess had failed.
Currently, this Moon Goddess robot with her special Acupuncture Technique should still be undiscovered by Lanstor Foundation and working as a healer at Hua Tuo Medical Center in Ancient Capital. Rek was uncertain whether Moon Goddess had developed human-like intelligence or if she could still use her ancient Acupuncture Technique to enhance physical attributes. However, as a member of a medical school in his previous life, Rek regarded Moon Goddess as a dream goddess among many healers. When Lanstor Foundation announced her dismantling back then, Rek and many doctors felt deep sorrow; some even visited her spirit tablet in their rooms.
Now having an opportunity to visit his idol and get close to this legendary healer robot Moon Goddess while possibly gaining enhancements to his physical attributes made Rek feel somewhat excited.
"Detected that certain useless hormones in Host's body are abnormally elevated, which will consume Host's physical energy. It is recommended that Host undergo cutting to eliminate these useless hormones," came the cold voice of War God System in Rek's mind.
"Get lost, you big-headed ghost! This hormone is the source of human evolutionary power, the reason humans can become war gods while monkeys cannot! What do you know, System?" Rek shouted angrily at the War God System in his mind.
"Monkeys can also become war gods! Previously detected in the Main Plane of Earth, there was a creature called Victorious Monkey that was in a dormant state but extremely powerful! However, because the War God System suffered energy damage, parasitizing this monkey would involve too many uncertainties, so we gave up," said the War God System.
"I give up on you, War God System, you're impressive!" Rek replied, speechless.
The Maglev Train passed through a mountain tunnel and finally stopped at a silver high-tech station. The doors opened, and Rek stepped off the train along with many other tourists.
A girl dressed in white silk stood in the waiting hall, her slender figure waiting for Rek's arrival.
"Young Master Rek, welcome to the Ancient Capital. Here you will experience an ancient life beyond your imagination," the girl said in a clear voice as she stepped forward to link arms with Rek, leading him into the silver hall.
"Are you human or a robot?" Rek asked as he felt her warmth and demeanor, unable to distinguish between the two.
"That’s not important, Young Master Rek. We need to conduct a small test. After the test, you will receive your corresponding travel identity and storyline for the Ancient Capital," she said gently to Rek.
"Alright, go ahead and ask!"
"What kind of ancient life does Young Master Rek envision? Do you want to be a chivalrous hero, a scholar, or pursue another profession?"
"My ideal ancient professions are a doctor and a chivalrous hero. If possible, I would like to pursue both simultaneously," Rek thought for a moment before replying. He mentioned being a doctor to have access to the Moon Goddess, while wanting to be a chivalrous hero was for self-defense in the Ancient Capital and preparation for upcoming actions.
"Does Young Master Rek wish to be a righteous hero and healer, or would you like to try being a villain instead?"
"Is being neutral okay?" Rek tried to say.
The girl asking Rek had her eyes spinning, nearly crashing. Now Rek realized that the one accompanying him was a robot.
"Okay!" Girl Robot finally bypassed the analytical barrier without entering a deadlock and continued to question Rek.
"If Master Rek sees an elderly woman fainting on the street, what would he choose: A) go forward to help, B) pretend not to see and leave, C) stay and observe, D) other."
"Little beauty, your question almost stumped me.
Let's see, if the elderly woman has a little beauty like you asking for help nearby, I would go forward to help.
If there are already people treating her, I would pretend not to see and leave.
If the elderly woman is alone and can still speak, I would keep a safe distance and chat with her.
If she has already fainted, I wouldn't know what to do; it would depend on my mood at that moment!" Rek said after thinking for a moment.
Rek noticed that the girl robot's eyes were spinning even more intensely.
The little girl robot asked Rek a few more questions, and in the end, smoke started coming from her head as she left with a copy of Rek's test report.
