"Don't worry, I don't blame you. If you have some confidence, just go ahead and treat me! If you can't cure me, I'll turn into a ghost and come to chat with you from time to time," Rek said weakly through clenched teeth.
"I'll go prepare the medicine. You can crawl around on the floor slowly!" Moon Goddess said, patting Rek's head as he stumbled around the room.
After that, Moon Goddess left her small hut. While her grandfather Hua Tuo was napping, she began to take some necessary herbs from the inner shelves of the medical cabinet.
Moon Goddess returned to the room with the herbs and saw that Rek had started vomiting blood again. This time, not only was he vomiting blood, but he also expelled part of the lunch he had eaten. Rek's wrist was swollen, and the blood mixed with the liquid food from his stomach created a foul smell throughout the room.
"I told you to eat less at noon, but you didn't listen. Now look at what you've thrown up! And you're still going! Are you trying to kill yourself? How much blood do you think you can afford to lose? You've made a mess of my room; no wonder you didn't practice in your own room and came here instead," Moon Goddess said, a mix of fear and anger in her voice as she pointed at Rek, who was still doing handstands on the ground while vomiting.
"Instead of complaining, hurry up and boil water for the medicinal bath. I'll stop before I die; just wait for you to save me. Tomorrow I'll buy some fragrant powder at the market to compensate you. Ah! Even if I die, I want to die full; your cooking is really delicious!" Rek said weakly while continuing to vomit blood and his lunch.
Moon Goddess felt helpless as she looked at the bloodstains and Rek's vomit on the floor. Given how he looked now, it seemed he could faint at any moment.
"Starting to save you yesterday was my biggest mistake!" Moon Goddess complained as she endured the nauseating smell of Rek's vomit filling the room. She quickly heated water in a bucket and began adding prepared doses of herbs into it.
With a loud thud, Rek collapsed on the ground and lost consciousness.
Moon Goddess rushed over, took out a silver needle from her clothing pocket, checked Rek's pulse, then gathered her courage and began to acupuncture him.
"People at the market often say that bad people have tough lives; please don't die in my room. I hope these seventy-two needles work!" Moon Goddess murmured softly as she continued to insert silver needles into Rek's unconscious body.
As she finished inserting all seventy-two needles, Rek's pale face began to regain some color.
Just as Moon Goddess was about to feel relieved that her calculation of seventy-two needles had worked, she suddenly saw Rek start convulsing and spewing blood like a fountain.
Startled, the Moon Goddess immediately used silver needles to seal several acupoints on Rek, slowing the flow of blood in his body. After spitting out two more mouthfuls of blood, Rek finally stopped gushing like a fountain.
"You bad guy, you've ruined my white clothes with all this blood," complained the Moon Goddess, who had been caught off guard by Rek's blood spray, as she dragged the half-conscious Rek into the medicinal bath. After a moment of thought, she added several types of blood-replenishing herbs to the bath.
"You insisted on telling me about those thirty-six needles and said it wasn't complete. Now look at you—internal injuries to your organs, severe muscle damage, dislocated bones, and a significant loss of blood. Whether you can survive now depends on your luck," the Moon Goddess grumbled. Taking advantage of Rek's unconsciousness, she went behind a screen in the room to change out of her blood-stained clothes and washed off the blood with water from a basin before putting on a new white outfit.
Looking at the room filled with vomit and bloodstains, along with the basin of bloody clothes, even the usually good-tempered Moon Goddess was about to go mad.
Ignoring Rek in the medicinal bath, her love for cleanliness drove her to fetch several buckets of water from outside. She began washing her hair and tidying up the room, cleaning the dirty clothes.

Two hours later, the resilient Rek surprisingly woke up. His face was pale, devoid of any color.
"Did your seventy-two needles work? Give me some water," Rek said with difficulty as he opened his blurry eyes, feeling as if everything around him was covered in snowflakes. His voice was hoarse.
"I guess it worked about halfway! It's a miracle you survived today; otherwise, don't bother exercising tomorrow! If this happens again, I can't guarantee I'll be able to save you each time," the Moon Goddess said as she took a small cup of brown sugar water and fed Rek a sip while feeling somewhat guilty.
"Since I'm not dead today, it means you succeeded! I can't stop exercising; there are still thirteen days left. From now until tomorrow afternoon, study the acupoints for Acupuncture more; those thirty-six needles can be achieved," Rek encouraged weakly.
"Shut up and soak in your medicinal bath! You absolutely cannot fall asleep right now. If you doze off now, you might not wake up again. Stay in this wooden tub for another hour before getting out! Later, I'll prepare some blood-replenishing soup for you to drink before you can sleep!" the Moon Goddess said while washing her clothes nearby.
Hearing her words, Rek fought against his weakness and fatigue to keep himself awake.
Rek struggled to keep his eyes open, thinking about the future invasion of Earth by Dark Space Aliens and filtering through numerous pieces of information released by Star Alliance regarding Dark Space that could be useful to him. He reflected on future information and analyzed what advantages he could gain by surviving the remaining thirteen days and attending Dark Space Super Soldier Academy with his foresight from rebirth.
After another hour in the bath, the Moon Goddess finally pulled him out of the wooden tub.
At this moment, the Moon Goddess had prepared a large bowl of thick, dark medicinal soup. The smell of the soup was so unpleasant that it made one dizzy after a while.
The Moon Goddess was angry at Rek for making her room smell bad earlier, so when she prepared the blood-replenishing soup for Rek, she didn't add any herbs to mask the odor. Instead, she included several ingredients that were effective for replenishing blood but combined to create a scent comparable to toxic gas.
"Are you sure this is drinkable?" Rek asked, looking skeptically at the large bowl of dark, gooey medicinal soup in his hands.
"After you drink it and take a nap, you should be able to survive the night. If you don't drink it and go to sleep, you'll never wake up!" the Moon Goddess said from her spot by the window, speaking with certainty.
Hearing this from the Moon Goddess, Rek knew that she was a divine healer with ancient medical knowledge, so the tonic shouldn't be lethal.
Rek opened his mouth and, suppressing the taste as if it were poison, drank down the medicinal soup.
Once swallowed, Rek felt as if his stomach was on fire; the foul and intensely stimulating taste shot straight to his brain, making him want to vomit immediately.
"Close your mouth and don't throw up! This medicine is precious! If you throw up, no one will make you a second bowl today," the Moon Goddess said from a distance.
Rek managed to hold back the urge to vomit for about five minutes before he could barely suppress it. "Help me back to my room! I want to sleep, but I have no strength."
