The next day, Rek got up and chose not to think about the mission he experienced last night. He skipped breakfast and went straight to the Military Supply Office on an empty stomach.
Today, there was a line of soldiers standing in front of the Military Supply Office. Upon seeing Rek, they took him through security and brought him back to the Metal Rest Hall from yesterday. For others, it had only been a day, but for Rek, many years had passed.
Rek noticed that the Metal Chair's table was now directly welded to the Ground.
Inside the Metal Rest Hall, three instructors from the Military Supply Office were sitting on the central lounge chairs.
To the left of the three instructors sat ten soldiers selected from the military frontlines. The leader was a fat man with a large scar on his head—this was the Fat Soldier whom Rek had knocked out cold yesterday.
To the right of the three instructors sat more than twenty students.
When Rek entered, the ten soldiers looked at him with either timid or resentful gazes. The Student Team warmly welcomed Rek to take a seat.
Rek sat on the Metal Chair and noticed that the fat man across from him was glaring at him fiercely, as if he wanted to eat him alive.
After going through many years in the War God System's deceptive mission world last night, in the bioweapon crisis mission world, even Zombies that dared to glare at him had their heads chopped off. It had been a long time since someone had looked at him with such malice.
Rek froze for a few seconds before remembering that in this real world, just yesterday in the Military Supply Office's lounge, he had beaten up the fat man and nine soldiers beside him, making some of them lie down and sing Conquer.
Rek smiled wickedly.
Suddenly, Rek stood up abruptly and touched the chair beneath him.
"Ouch!" "Oh!"
Rek's actions immediately caused chaos among the ten soldiers across from him. Half of them trembled in fear, while others jumped back into defensive stances. The chubby soldier who had previously provoked him with a glare was so startled that he nearly fell off his chair.
"What are you doing! Rek, do you want to cause trouble?" shouted Bald Instructor, who quickly stood up from between the two groups.
"Metal Chair is a bit cold, and I'm not used to sitting, so I stood up. Is that too much to ask?" Rek replied lazily.
As soon as Rek finished speaking, the students in the Metal Rest Hall burst into laughter.
The ten soldiers across from them kept their heads down, suppressing their voices.
"Silence! Anyone causing a disturbance will lose their qualification to obtain Genetic Mech on the Main Plane of Earth. You can think of a way to get the Fusion Stronghold Mecha Embryo when you reach Dark Space," Bald Instructor said fiercely.
This statement had an immediate effect, and the Metal Rest Hall quieted down.
After about ten minutes, all forty Students had arrived.
"Let's go to the Military Supply Department Research Lab for the Genetic Mecha Embryo fusion. You are not allowed to speak; anything you see must not be disclosed. Turn off the photo function on your Wrist Communicator. Otherwise, you will face military consequences," said Elder Instructor, pressing a button on his Controller.
In the center of the Metal Rest Hall, a Metal Spiral Staircase leading underground appeared.
Old Instructor walked ahead, and the chubby soldier among the ten soldiers stood up first. After glaring at Rek, he followed behind the elder down the Metal Spiral Staircase.
The remaining nine soldiers followed closely behind the chubby soldier.
Rek also stood up to follow, but Bald Instructor stepped beside him, blocking his path to the ten soldiers ahead.
"In the Main Plane, no disturbances are allowed! Any grievances must be resolved in Dark Space," the Bald Instructor said again to Rek.
Under the guidance of the Three Instructors, it took about five minutes for the fifty individuals to descend the Metal Spiral Staircase and arrive at the Military Supply Office's Underground Base.
A Biometric Sensor Door opened, continuously scanning the entrants' Wrist Communicators and body information, only allowing passage after a green light appeared.
Rek followed the group and noticed that ahead was a long Metal Passage, with several tightly closed metal doors on either side, obscuring what lay inside.
The fifty individuals finally entered a large room made of Synthetic Glass walls.
In the center of the room, Rek saw rows of fifty large Glass Jars, each connected to pipelines that led underground.
Above in a Control Room, a closed control panel made of reinforced glass housed several researchers in white lab coats who were operating equipment within the Control Room.
Rek gazed at the Glass Jars in the room; these were the high-tech products of the legendary Star Alliance Military Research Institute—the Synthesis Tanks for Fusion Stronghold Mecha Embryos.
These tanks could provide high concentrations of nutrients and energy during the fusion process between Genetic Mechs and human bodies, maximizing recovery of human functions, reducing the chances of fusion failure, and even enhancing the initial level of Genetic Mechs.
In his Previous Life, although Rek obtained a Genetic Mech, he did not have such favorable conditions; he merely received a Genetic Mecha Embryo and had to fuse it on his own.
Self-fusion was truly a matter of life and death; one-third of those who attempted to fuse with Genetic Mechs without protection could suffer Gene Collapse and die. Even so, many still scrambled to obtain Genetic Mecha Embryos.
"According to your serial numbers, enter the corresponding Glass Jars. Once inside, do not move; relax your body and don't think too much. Just sleep it off," the Female Instructor announced.
At that moment, all fifty Glass Jars simultaneously had their upper glass panels slide open to the right.
Rek and the other ten soldiers, after finding their corresponding Glass Jar serial numbers, entered the jars with a sense of curiosity.
The glass panels closed, and the Glass Jar began to fill with an unknown liquid from the top.
The liquid quickly rose within the glass jar, soon threatening to cover the mouths and noses of those inside. Several students showed expressions of fear, wanting to knock on the Glass Jar to avoid drowning.
"Don't struggle; you can breathe in this nutrient solution. The liquid is harmless," the voice of the Female Instructor echoed.
After filling fifty Glass Jars with a special nutrient solution, those inside took a few sips of the nutrients, releasing a stream of bubbles before gradually falling into a coma.
Seeing everyone around him close their eyes, Rek pretended to lose consciousness as well.
"Initiate the Fetal Cloning Fusion Procedure." After arriving at the Control Room, the Old Instructor issued the command. Several staff members in white coats operated controls within the Control Room.
Inside the glass chamber, a Mechanical Arm extended from the tops of all fifty Glass Jars, each equipped with a slender syringe at its tip.
The silver-white Mechanical Arm moved slowly within the Glass Jar, positioning itself accurately before piercing into the hearts of the fifty individuals, extracting a small amount of blood from each heart, which quickly flowed back through slender tubes.
Blood Cells rapidly underwent Cloning above the Glass Jar, dividing and reproducing numerous fresh blood cells.
Fifty small Transparent Spheres, resembling Crawling Eggs, were gripped by a Metal Arm and tossed into the cloned blood. With the assistance of energy liquid, these egg-like creatures grew rapidly.
After soaking in the blood for several minutes, the fifty small Crawling Eggs transformed into a Transparent Spike Creature, adorned with many slender tentacles, resembling a miniature version of a Transparent Octopus.
