"What is there to regret!" the Moon Goddess replied nonchalantly, pulling Rek into Room 102.
Fifteen new students, Injured and hooked up to IV drips, were boasting to the little nurse Manli about their heroic experiences from the morning when they challenged Maya the Sword Demon.
"I'm telling you, out of over three hundred new students, only a handful of us bravely went on stage to challenge Maya the Sword Demon. That Sword Demoness Maya was ruthless and merciless; all those other students are cowards, too scared to step up."
"It's all that rogue Rek's fault; he insisted on—"
At that moment, Rek was forcibly dragged into the room by the Moon Goddess. The fifteen new students who had been chatting suddenly froze and turned to look at the doorway, their expressions instantly petrified.
"Why have you all gone silent? Keep talking! Is that rogue Rek's strength comparable to yours?" Nurse Manli asked.
Upon hearing the nurse's words, the faces of the fifteen new students changed, fear evident as they looked at Rek standing in front of them. This Rek was a big shot among this year's newcomers, the kind who was audacious beyond measure.
On the first day of the Opening Ceremony, he had dared to openly tease the Special Class Two homeroom teacher Maya and had taken a furious strike from Maya the Sword Demon without sustaining any injuries.
All fifteen students had faced Maya before and knew well the terror of her swordsmanship; they had all been severely injured by her in a single move, without even having a chance to defend themselves.
One quick-thinking student quickly interjected, "Nurse, you heard wrong! We weren't talking about rogue Rek; we were referring to Rek shining with heroic and domineering brilliance. Our strength can't compare to Rek's at all."
"Yeah, we were saying Rek is strong."
"Rek is fierce!"
"Rek is strong and fierce." The new student, who had just regained consciousness on the hospital bed, quickly spoke up, fearing that if he hesitated, he would offend Rek, who was standing at the door.
"Ha, you new students are really interesting! Ah! Maya, you're back! Who's this refined young man standing next to you? Is he your friend?" The nurse Manli turned around upon seeing Rek and Maya at the door and asked playfully.
Maya nudged Rek forward, encouraging him not to shy away behind her: "Manli, this is the friend I mentioned before, who came with me from Earth Prime World. His name is Rek!"
Rek smiled and said to Maya's new colleague, "Hello! Manli, please take good care of Maya in the future!"
Nurse Manli sized up Rek, speaking in a big sister tone, "Since Maya is my friend, I would take care of her even if you didn't say anything.
So, Rek, you're also a new student this year. You look a bit frail; if anyone bullies you in class, just mention my name. I've been in this infirmary for over a year and know many seniors from your previous class.

Now you all, respond to me!" Nurse Manli said while glancing back at the fifteen Injured on the bed.

"What class were you assigned to?" Manli asked again.
"Class Two."
"Special Class Two?"
"Yeah," Rek replied.
"Wow, so you're the Rek who challenged and teased the teacher of Special Class Two at today's Opening Ceremony and still managed to enter Special Class Two?" Manli exclaimed in surprise. Earlier, she had boasted to Rek that she would look out for him.
Manli's face turned red, wishing she could sink into the ground, standing in front of her was this year's most remarkable newcomer, Rek.
"Although the circumstances might differ a bit from what you heard, the Rek you're talking about, if nothing unexpected happened, should be me," Rek said, bracing himself.
Manli turned around and angrily shouted at the fifteen patients lying on the hospital beds, "What are you guys doing? You all know Rek! Why didn't you tell me he was the Rek you mentioned when he came in?"
Then Nurse Manli turned back, instantly changing her expression to a smile as she looked at Rek. "Rek, wow, I didn't expect Maya's friend to be so impressive! Please sit down; I'll get you some water."
"Hello, Rek!" The fifteen newcomers ignored Manli's shouting and respectfully greeted Rek.
Moon Goddess understood upon hearing this; it turned out that the ruffian and tough guy these injured ones were talking about was her friend Rek.
"Rek, I just left for half a day, and you've already been teasing the teacher," Moon Goddess said coldly as she looked at Rek.
"There seems to be some misunderstanding. The homeroom teacher of Special Class Two, Maya, looks a lot like a deceased acquaintance of mine. Moon Goddess, we've known each other for so long; don't you know what kind of person I am? Am I that kind of person?" Rek said with a righteous expression.
Moon Goddess coldly replied, "Hmph!"
The nurse, Manli, chimed in, "I've heard that Maya is exceptionally skilled in swordsmanship and holds grudges. You openly teased her today, making her the laughingstock of the entire academy, and you still managed to become one of the only two students in her Special Class Two.
Rek, you should be careful. After the first semester ends, hurry up and apply to switch classes."
Rek took the cup of water that Manli handed him, took a small sip, and said, "That was all too long ago. Let's take it one step at a time! As I walked here, I saw that there are already Gambling activities happening in the campus grove.
Betting that I won't survive the seven days of military training or that those seven days will leave me permanently disabled—that's why I came to you for help."
Upon hearing Rek's words, Moon Goddess didn't say anything but felt a bit worried inside.
"What can Moon Goddess do for you?" Manli asked in confusion.
"A sick leave note! Just give me a sick leave note, and I'll lie here in this hospital room. It seems there's an empty spot by the window. The fifteen freshmen in this room who are also Injured can't participate in military training either; having one more won't make a difference. Just get me a sick leave note like theirs," Rek pointed to the bed by the window.
The freshman who had been lying by the window quickly got up, re-made the bed, and swiftly moved to the bed next to the bathroom, leaving the window spot for Rek.
