"Don't cry! Moon Goddess, what's wrong? Are you hurt?" Rek asked in confusion.
Moon Goddess didn't respond and cried even harder.
Manli stepped forward and quietly said to Rek, "Moon Goddess isn't hurt, but the fourteen new students she treated are seriously injured. You're just in time to comfort your Moon Goddess. I'll go check on those unfortunate Injured in Recovery Pod 101."
Nurse Manli left Room 102 and closed the door behind her.
"Moon Goddess, stop crying! Please tell me what happened, don't be afraid!" Rek tried to ask Moon Goddess.
Wiping her tears, Moon Goddess recounted the events that had happened over half an hour ago.
After listening, Rek realized that Moon Goddess was crying out of guilt.
More than half an hour ago, Moon Goddess and Nurse Manli began treating the fifteen Injured in Room 102, changing their bandages and administering IVs.
"Moon Goddess, your IV needle placement is so precise! You found Chubby Kid's vein on the first try. Have you practiced before?"
"I studied Ancient Medicine before and practiced Acupuncture, so I'm accurate."
Rek then understood that these Injured had heard about Moon Goddess's skills in Acupuncture from Ancient Medicine and that Acupuncture could enhance certain functions in men, which led them to eagerly request her to perform the treatment.
Moon Goddess had plenty of Golden Needles in hand, enough for all fourteen Male Students to receive Acupuncture.
At first, when she started the treatment, the Male Students were fine. Moon Goddess used her newly researched Deadly Sixteen Needles on all fourteen Male Students.
After each of the fourteen Male Students had sixteen Golden Needles inserted into their bodies, ten minutes later, their blood vessels began to rupture extensively, and their organs started to fail as they screamed in agony.
The fourteen Male Students began to bleed profusely in Room 102, turning it into a scene with fourteen small fountains of blood.
Fortunately, Nurse Manli reacted quickly and woke the panicked Moon Goddess. Together they moved the fourteen Injured into the Advanced Recovery Pod in the adjacent room, preventing any fatalities.
Crying, Moon Goddess said to Rek, "It's all my fault for not considering everything thoroughly. These Injured have Genetic Mech within them. I miscalculated their tolerance for Genetic Mech. Sob... Am I not suited to be a doctor? My supervisor took away my Golden Needles."
"It's okay, Moon Goddess. Medical skills can only improve through constant exploration. After this experience, think about it more. I believe your Acupuncture Technique will become stronger in the future!" Rek also felt a bit at a loss for words and tried to suppress his amusement to comfort her.
Suddenly, Rek looked at the three injured members of Special Class One who were gradually waking up and thought of a good method related to the War God System's mission.
"Did you not leave any Golden Needles behind?" Rek asked Moon Goddess again.
"I secretly kept some Golden Needles, but they are all very long ones, not suitable for ordinary acupuncture points," Moon Goddess replied, taking out thirteen needles over twenty centimeters long from a cloth bag in her bosom.
The three newly awakened members of Special Class One, who had just finished surgery and were lying in bed, looked at the blood-stained ward and their bandages. Listening to Rek's conversation with the little nurse, Moon Goddess, they felt scared and didn't dare to speak.
"You three, stop pretending to be asleep. I'll let you in on a secret: please call me Doctor Rek." Rek took the thirteen long Golden Needles from Moon Goddess and grinned wickedly at the three students lying in bed, brandishing the needles in front of them.
"Don't come over here, Rek! You've already hurt us; our match is over," one student whose arm had just been reattached said anxiously, trying to move back but finding it difficult due to the lingering effects of the anesthetic.
"If you come any closer, we'll scream!"
"In the Arena, you can hurt us without consequences. But if you hurt us again in this infirmary, you'll face punishment from the Super Soldier Academy!" The three injured students hurriedly warned Rek.
However, Rek smiled and continued walking toward them.
Rek said with an evil grin, "The conditions in this infirmary may be poor, but it has one advantage: excellent soundproofing. You can scream your lungs out; it won't make a difference."
"Besides, I'm not here to hurt you. I'm here to treat you! I felt guilty for injuring you in the Arena! I'm a doctor; I need to do what doctors do. Moon Goddess, tell me where you thought of improving the acupuncture points."
The three students began to panic and shouted for help. They felt that Rek was like a demon now, but after shouting several times, there was no response outside; no one could hear them.
"Are you really okay? Rek, don't kill them with needles!" Moon Goddess asked nervously.
"Don't worry; I know how to control my strength. Besides, having three more injured students to test the Golden Needles will help validate your theory about them. This opportunity is rare. And since I'm doing it, no one will blame you as a doctor, Moon Goddess. Just think of these three as specimens," Rek said to Moon Goddess.
Moon Goddess also wanted to improve her medical skills and trusted Rek. She began guiding him on how to use the Golden Needles for acupuncture.
"Yes, that's right! It's three inches above that point—no, you're going too deep!" Moon Goddess started instructing Rek on how to insert the needles.
"It's fine, just reinsert the needle! These three are from Special Class One, their bodies are stronger than average." Rek pulled out the incorrectly inserted Golden Needle and began to reinsert it.
"Ouch!" "If you dare to stick me again, I won't let you off once I'm better!"
"Help!" "Stop it, Rek, I was wrong, it hurts so much, I feel like my arm is going to burst!"
"Don't stick me anymore, I've had enough!"
"Rek, you are my Rek, I won't dare challenge you again!"
The three members of Special Class One began to plead for mercy from Rek. He kept inserting needles into their acupoints and muscles, struggling to find the right spots and depth, causing the three injured individuals to cry out in pain.
Meanwhile, the Moon Goddess continuously corrected Rek's technique and acupoint locations, using these three injured students as practice specimens.
After about ten minutes of being needled by Rek, blood started to flow from their nostrils, ears, and corners of their mouths. One injured student's arm swelled up to be thicker than his thigh, while another unfortunate student had a blood vessel in his leg burst. Fortunately, under the guidance of the Moon Goddess, Rek managed to insert the Golden Needle into the correct acupoints for stopping the bleeding; otherwise, this unfortunate student might have bled out.
The three of them were howling in pain in the room. Their fearful expressions turned into pleas for mercy and apologies directed at Rek; he seemed like a demon.
The only female student who had previously escaped unscathed from challenging Maya now watched Rek's bloody acupuncture performance again and fainted from fear, her mental trauma deepening.
After torturing these three for half an hour, the members of Special Class One had become bloodied figures, their voices hoarse from pleading.
