The Transport Vehicle arrived at the valley of the Dark Gold Soil Mine, where a small Metal Base had already been established by the Star Alliance Military.
This Metal Base activated its Energy Shield and filtration facilities, capable of isolating the toxic gases and radiation from Dark Space.
Twelve Transport Vehicles parked within the shield, and the back doors of the Hover Transport Vehicle opened. The Students gradually exited and were assigned to temporarily rest in more than a dozen Metal Shacks within the base while waiting for orders.
The homeroom teachers from the Super Soldier Academy were invited to a conference room by the soldiers of the Mine to begin formulating patrol assignment tasks for this trip to the mine.
Alice pulled Rek aside, standing in a corner of the shack, and whispered, "I want to go to the Dark Golden Ant Mother Bug early to hunt it down. Otherwise, once the Dark Golden Ant Mother Bug fully awakens, it will be too late. When the Mother Bug awakens, a terrifying number of Golden Ant Swarms will follow, and all humans and machines in this valley will be devoured by the Dark Gold Ant Swarm."
Rek's main body, controlling his clone, replied, "Once Maya returns and assigns us patrol duties, you and I will look for an opportunity to hunt down the Dark Golden Ant Mother Bug."
Rek then asked Alice about what she knew regarding the skills and weaknesses of the Dark Golden Ant Mother Bug.
After waiting for about half an hour in the Metal Shack, the teachers returned.
Maya stood next to Rek's clone and Alice.
"Our mission this time is to patrol the Mine for four hours each day. I will send you the specific patrol routes to your Wrist Communicators first," Maya said to Rek and Alice.
Rek's clone and Alice nodded, extending their left hands to connect their Wrist Communicators with Maya's device.
"I'll take you both out today for our first patrol duty; it's about time for us. Today's patrol location is on the eastern side of the mine. Check your protective suits; if they are in good condition, we can head out," Maya instructed Rek and Alice.
"Okay," Alice replied.
"No problem," Rek's clone responded.
Rek's clone, Alice, and Maya walked out of the Metal Shack through an exit from the Small Base.
After leaving the Defensive Shield, the three entered the environment of Dark Space, and their walking speed slowed down a bit.
"Watch your step. We need to take the path we dug up. If your protective suits trigger an alert for any tears or leaks, notify me immediately.
With your current Genetic Mech levels, you can barely withstand some of the toxic gases and radiation in Dark Space, but I’m afraid it won't last long," Maya reminded Rek and Alice once again.
Rek controlled his clone to follow Maya.
"The environment in Dark Space is very unique. For instance, this mine has a different gravitational magnetic field.
This mine contains a large amount of Dark Gold Soil Mine, which can sporadically form small Energy Storms in the valley, with unknown locations.
If your Wrist Communicator emits a dangerous alert, you need to immediately detect areas where chaotic energy is gathering and quickly move away," Maya explained while patrolling, pointing at a small gray-yellow whirlwind taller than a person on the mountainside in the distance.
Both Rek's clone and Alice were quite knowledgeable about the unique environment of Dark Space, but since Maya was eager to explain, they didn’t show any signs of impatience and listened casually.
"In the future, when you carry out missions in Dark Space, you also need to pay attention. If your Wrist Communicator or Genetic Mech detects unstable energy states nearby, you should quickly move away.
There are temporary Spatial Channels that can appear in Dark Space, most leading to Main World Earth, but some lead to other chaotic spaces.
Don’t think that you can return to Main World Earth through these temporary channels.
The safety of these small temporary Spatial Channels is different from the stable Spatial Channel at the Sanctuary Base. Without special protective suits, even someone of my level as a Genetic Mecha Warrior has a ninety percent chance of dying if I enter a small Spatial Channel.

Following Maya, Rek's clone and Alice ascended the eastern side of the mine, took a large loop around, and then descended again.
After four hours of patrol, with no special incidents occurring, Maya returned to the Small Base with Rek and Alice inside the Defensive Shield.
Upon returning to the Defensive Shield, Maya led Rek and Alice through a small sterilization glass corridor to remove any viruses, bacteria, and radiation clinging to their protective suits.
"You can rest for the remaining time. I've arranged accommodations for you on the Identity Watch. Although the conditions are a bit basic, this is what we have while executing a mission," Maya said, pointing to a row of Metal Rooms in the distance, stacked like Containers up to ten stories high.
"Maya, I want to check out the mines outside. It's my first time in Dark Space, and I want to see how the workers extract ore," Alice spoke up.
Maya replied, "Although Alien Species generally cannot enter the Mine, it's not a good idea for you to go alone since it's your first time in Dark Space. We have patrols scheduled for the mines in a few days; let's wait until then."
Rek chimed in, "I have nothing to do either and would like to accompany Alice. We won't go up the mountain; we'll just walk in the valley. There's no point in going back to our resting room so early when we could explore the mine. If we encounter any danger, we'll contact you immediately."
Alice added, "If we run into trouble, even if Rek and I can't handle it, we can at least run away. Besides, there are military soldiers in the mine as well, so don't worry, Maya. If anything unusual happens that we can't manage, we'll notify you through the Wrist Communicator."
After hearing Rek and Alice's desire to explore the valley of the mine, Maya hesitated for a moment but ultimately agreed.
Maya thought that sooner or later, Alice and Rek would have to face Alien Species in Dark Space during combat. After all, they were part of the Super Soldier Cadet program on this Mobile Fortress in Dark Space; fighting was inevitable.
The current environment was quite safe, allowing Rek and Alice to familiarize themselves with My Space while walking around in the valley.
Outside the valley, there were military soldiers and Student personnel patrolling, providing decent security. Generally speaking, Alien Species could not enter; even if a lone Alien Species managed to get into the valley, it would be quickly detected by Guard Personnel and would not pose a significant threat.
