Rek controlled Rein's body, staring at Bill in front of him.
Rek spoke, "Bill, I have reviewed your theory on the Seismic Disruption Weapon. What I want to say is that this weapon is feasible, and once developed, it will have an astonishing effect. For decades to come, your Seismic Disruption Weapon will become a nightmare for the enemy, catching them off guard and becoming the Ultimate Weapon of the Star Alliance."
Upon hearing his supervisor's words, Bill was overjoyed. He leaned closer to Fat Supervisor Rein and excitedly said, "Supervisor, are you preparing to write an application for me? Are you going to allocate research funding for my project on the Seismic Disruption Weapon?
Initially, I don't need too much funding; just assign me three or two assistants and allow me to use the second laboratory. Once I have made progress and can demonstrate effectiveness, you can provide additional funding."
However, the response Bill received was not from Rek but rather a sharp dagger that was thrust directly into his chest.
"Ah!" Bill cried out in pain, looking at the metal dagger embedded in his chest with a look of panic.
Bill attempted to step back but found that his body was firmly held by Fat Supervisor Rein and he couldn't move at all.
"Why! Why are you killing me? Are you a spy from the Glorious Empire?" Bill gasped out with his last strength, questioning Rein.
Rek replied, "I am not a spy; I am from the Star Alliance. However, I am from one hundred thirty years in the future. Bill, your Seismic Disruption Weapon will be successfully developed in thirty years and will be used by the Star Alliance in the following decades.
After the Glorious Empire discovers the Star Alliance's Seismic Disruption Weapon, they will begin their own research. One hundred thirty years from now, Earth will be on the brink of destruction due to the frequent use of the Seismic Disruption Weapon.
I traveled back through time using a time machine to kill you before this Seismic Disruption Weapon is developed.
You are the first scholar to propose the theory of the Seismic Disruption Weapon. Only by killing you can I prevent the future destruction of Earth."
Hearing his supervisor's words and seeing Rein's determined expression, Bill was shocked.
"Even if what you say is true, that you came back from one hundred thirty years in the future, you should call for medical personnel instead of killing me! I promise I will never pursue research on the Seismic Disruption Weapon again. I'll withdraw my previous application right away! Please don’t kill me!" Bill pleaded desperately.
In response to Bill's pleas, a pair of hands pushed the dagger further into his chest.
Bill's heart was pierced; he closed his eyes and died instantly.
Rek pulled the dagger out of Bill's body, wiped it and the blood on his hands with Bill's clothes, and then hid Bill's body under his desk.
Afterward, Rek left his office, locked the door, and began to walk briskly toward the areas in the laboratory where high-level energy was stored.
In half a day's time, with the assistance of the War God System, Rek successfully absorbed all the high-level energy in the laboratory, which greatly satisfied the System.
Rek returned to his room and used his authority to completely delete Bill's research application.
Looking at Bill's corpse under the desk, bleeding from a hole in his chest, Rek shook his head helplessly.
Rek picked up the dagger and turned the office into a chaotic scene of a struggle with Bill before committing suicide.
The next day, Supervisor Rein and Bill's body were discovered. After a thorough investigation of the scene, it was determined that both had died in a struggle.
This incident was covered up by the Star Alliance Federation Military, initially concluding that researcher Bill was dissatisfied with Supervisor Rein's allocation. After failing to reach an agreement with Rein, they ended up fighting, resulting in both of their deaths during the altercation.

Rek opened his eyes to find himself lying naked inside a suspended metal sphere. He had successfully returned to the laboratory 130 years later, inside a time travel machine.
However, Rek noticed that the researchers and leaders from the Glorious Empire and Star Alliance around him, dressed in white lab coats, did not show any signs of joy; instead, their faces looked grim.
"I successfully killed Bill 130 years ago, the first person to propose the Crustal Oscillation Theory, and destroyed his research application! What happened? Was it not successful? Is Earth still going to explode?" Rek asked anxiously; this was crucial for whether he could complete his mission and survive.
The dean of the laboratory, also dressed in a white coat, sighed deeply and said to Rek: "Brave Ultimate Warrior, you did successfully kill Bill. However, we miscalculated earlier.
Two years after Bill's death, someone from the Glorious Empire proposed the Crustal Oscillation Theory again in academia. The Seismic Disruption Weapon was ultimately developed; however, it appeared three years later than originally planned.
Now, although Earth's self-destruction has been postponed by three years, its fate cannot be avoided.
This laboratory has been partially isolated due to the use of spatial interference shielding facilities; that's why we still remember what originally happened."
"What? Someone has developed the Earthquake Weapon again? Those researchers, don't they realize how dangerous the weapons they are creating are? Do they not want to live?" Rek said angrily.
A leader from the Glorious Empire spoke to Rek, "Ultimate Warrior, time is of the essence. While the Time Travel Machine has not completely cooled down, you will travel again.
This time, you will go back one hundred twenty-eight years, to the body of the president of the Glory Empire Research Association.
Your mission this time is to kill all thirteen scientists on this list within one month in that time period.
Six of them belong to the Glorious Empire, and seven belong to the Star Alliance. These thirteen individuals were later involved in the development of the Seismic Disruption Weapon. You should also try to eliminate as many scholars in this field as possible to prevent the emergence of the Seismic Disruption Weapon. Ultimate Warrior, you are Earth's last hope."
Rek looked at a list that appeared before him, corresponding to photos of the thirteen researchers, and quickly memorized them.
"I guarantee I will complete the mission!" Rek said aloud.
The Time Machine began to operate again, with the metallic sphere spinning rapidly as the time-space portal opened.
Rek fell into a coma, and when he awoke again, he found himself controlling the body of a man in his fifties. This man was sitting on a sofa, drinking tea.
Rek's hand was unsteady as he held the teacup; having just traveled through time and not yet adjusted to his new body, he dropped it, shattering it on the floor.
"President, are you alright?" a middle-aged man dressed in a butler's outfit asked softly, quickly moving to clean up the broken teacup that Rek had dropped.
