The formidable former Host of the War God System, Lin Fei, made Rek feel overwhelmed by his presence.
"I was summoned by you, and you also possess the War God System! If I kill you, will I have two War God Systems? Consider it the price for summoning me—how about paying with your life?" Lin Fei said with a wicked smile, turning to Rek beside him.
Upon hearing this, Rek was startled and realized that he could never defeat this former Host; Lin Fei was simply too fierce.
After thinking for a moment, Rek replied, "You are also a Host of the War God System. You should know how troublesome a System can be. One System is already enough trouble; are you sure you want two?"
Lin Fei pondered for a few seconds and said, "That's true! One System is already enough for me; I shouldn't seek more suffering! Besides, the War God System inside you is incomplete! It wouldn't be of much use anyway," he said with a wicked grin.
As the Dark Golden Ants began to go mad for a second or two after their queen's death, they all died off.
"I want to go back! The environment here is too poor!" Lin Fei declared. Without waiting for the summoning time to end, he raised his sword and slashed at the air in front of him. The space was torn open by his strike, and he was about to enter it.
"Wait, Lin Fei! I summoned you here with great difficulty; can you stay for another two minutes? I want to absorb some energy and become stronger," Rek quickly called out to stop Lin Fei from leaving.
Hearing Rek's shout, Lin Fei paused and glanced at him as well as into the depths of the cave.
"Alright, since there are still two minutes left in the summoning time, make good use of it," Lin Fei replied.
Rek immediately reacted and ran over to the half-dead body of the Dark Gold Ant Queen. He activated his Genetic Mech's devouring ability. Although he didn't kill her, he could still absorb some energy since she had just died.
In the distance, Alice and Victorious Monkey watched as the elite Dark Golden Ants around them fell dead. However, they were focused on the mysterious man not far from Rek.
Although both wanted to go deeper into the cave to absorb energy, they dared not act now; this mysterious man was too powerful—he had killed the queen with one strike and could easily tear open space.
Two minutes quickly passed, and Lin Fei vanished. Rek finished absorbing energy from the Dark Gold Ant Queen's corpse. As for Rek's clone, it had also absorbed energy from within the cave. Rek controlled his clone and once again stealthily hid among the corpses of the Dark Gold Ant Swarm in the distance.
Once Alice confirmed that the mysterious Lin Fei had left, she ran towards Rek while Victorious Monkey headed deeper into the cave but soon returned looking confused.
Victorious Monkey exchanged expressions with Alice. Although Rek couldn't hear what they were saying, he could guess their general meaning: all the energy in the cave had been absorbed by someone else.
"That strong one before was summoned by you!" Alice asked.
"It's a one-time item that can summon a strong individual. He is a former Host of the War God System, summoned randomly. But it seems I got lucky this time; the person summoned is exceptionally powerful," Rek said casually.
Alice did not inquire further about the energy in the depths of Rek's cave but instead, along with Victorious Monkey, began to absorb the remaining energy from the Dark Gold Ant Corpses.
Although the energy from ordinary Dark Gold Ant Corpses diminished after death and was significantly less due to the self-destruction of the mother body, there were still many of them. Rek also activated his Genetic Mech to absorb these Dark Gold Ant Corpses.
Suddenly, Rek heard the voice of the War God System in his mind.

Host can choose to redeem a chance for an A-grade item lottery or opt to grant a skill to the clone: Fusion Technique.
Fusion Technique Skill Description: When the clone uses this skill, as long as it comes into contact with Host's body, it can merge with Host and integrate into Host's main body. After merging, Host's physical attributes and strength will increase by ten percent based on the existing strength of the clone.
Fusion Technique allows for permanent fusion with the host without the need for separation. This technique can also be undone, enabling the clone to leave the host and regain independent existence. The usage limit for the Clone Great Fusion Technique is once every 24 hours, allowing for either fusion or separation to be performed once within that time. After hearing the War God System's words in his mind, Rek knew that an A-grade lottery chance was rare, but he desperately needed this clone merging technique right now. With this technique, he could bring the clone back to Super Soldier Academy and release it when needed.
"I choose the clone merging technique Reward," Rek said to the War God System in his mind.
A golden light appeared at the location where only Rek could see his hidden clone.
Rek also sensed a new skill available for use in his mind.
He walked near the pile of Dark Gold Ant Corpses where his clone was hidden, pretending to absorb their energy while reaching out to touch his clone.
"Activate Fusion Technique."
The clone quickly merged with the point of contact on Rek's arm, and in an instant, the clone disappeared into Rek's body. Rek felt a surge of strength coursing through him, while at the location of Ground, a set of empty Combat Suit remained.

In the mine, the Star Alliance Temporary Base was also under attack from the Dark Gold Ant Swarm. The sheer number of Dark Gold Ant Swarm caused significant damage to the base's defenses and mining facilities.
