Rek looked at a pile of messages and realized that Moon Goddess was worried about him. He replied to her, "I have safely returned to Fortress. I'm heading to the infirmary to see you."
"Alice, I'm going to check on Moon Goddess. I won't be returning to the dormitory for now," Rek said to Alice beside him.
"After just a few days apart, you can't take it anymore? You don't have feelings for Moon Goddess, do you? Be careful; that research facility in Ancient Capital that created Moon Goddess is not simple. Although they sent Moon Goddess to you, we can't be sure they didn't leave some control devices inside her," Alice said after thinking for a moment.
"I've thought about that issue too. However, we are in Dark Space, and Ancient Capital is in the Main World. Even if there are special setups inside Moon Goddess, it would be difficult for them to act on it.
When I get the chance, I'll check on Moon Goddess. If anything seems off, I'll go to Ancient Capital to eliminate those hidden dangers," Rek replied as he turned away from Alice and headed toward the infirmary.

Upon arriving at the infirmary building, Rek saw a girl in a nurse's uniform standing at the door, looking out.
When the girl spotted Rek, she ran over and jumped into his arms, then playfully punched his chest a few times with her small fists.
"You finally made it back safely! Killing the Alien Maternal Body—how could you do something so dangerous? And why didn't you tell me beforehand that the mission would be so perilous?" Moon Goddess complained, releasing her embrace with Rek.
"I was afraid you'd worry. I'm very strong; you don't need to worry. As a student of the Super Soldier Academy, I'm already part of the Star Alliance Military. It's inevitable to carry out missions," Rek said softly to Moon Goddess.
"You don't know how many injured people have been brought in these past two days. There were several who couldn't be saved due to infections; some even died.
I knew you were on a mission and was so worried about you. Fortunately, I later learned from the recovering injured that you are the hero who killed the maternal body. Next time you encounter such dangerous creatures, can you really just stand by?" Moon Goddess continued.
"Heroes die quickly; I don't want to be a hero. But sometimes, fighting is unavoidable. If I don't step up when danger arises, it could be my life on the line," Rek reflected, thinking about the troublesome War God System in his mind that aimed to train him into the strongest warrior, pushing him hard. He then spoke to Moon Goddess.
"By the way, Rek, the doctor in the infirmary said I have a talent for medicine and is teaching me your world's Medical Knowledge. Having someone teach me is much faster than researching on my own," Moon Goddess said as she pulled Rek into the infirmary.
Inside the infirmary, Rek noticed that several patient rooms were fully occupied.
In the ward, the injured individuals saw Rek being led in by the Moon Goddess. Among them, a sophomore recognized Rek as the hero who had gone on missions with them and saved everyone.
"This is Rek from the Special Class Two of the freshman year."
"Wow! He's the hero who killed the Alien Maternal Body!"
"Rek, thank you so much for killing the Maternal Body. If you had been a few minutes later, I would have died in the jaws of a Dark Golden Ant."
"Benefactor! Hero!"
"Hero, a hero deserves a beauty! I support you coming to the infirmary to find a girl."
"Hero! I have a sister, just eighteen! She's beautiful and charming!"
A group of injured individuals enthusiastically spoke to Rek.
Rek smiled and listened, while the Moon Goddess beside him blushed slightly at their words.
The Moon Goddess pulled Rek and walked out of the ward, heading deeper into the infirmary.
On the way, she said to Rek, "I'm taking you to meet my instructor in the infirmary. My instructor's surname is Mie, and everyone calls her Master Mie. She didn't tell me her full name, so I don't know it. The instructor is usually very strict, so don't speak out of turn when we get there. She has been very good to me and has taught me a lot."
"That sounds good. I've been wanting to find an opportunity to meet your doctor," Rek replied.
Having returned from the previous scene, Rek had also studied medicine before and knew several formulas for improving physical condition and methods for developing Gene Modification Solutions.
However, he couldn't remember all the details of those formulas and methods; he wouldn't be able to produce them alone within a year. Now with the Moon Goddess and the doctors in this infirmary, he might be able to produce some useful formulas into finished products before the Alien Species outbreak in a year.
There was just over a year left until the Alien Species would erupt. If history were to repeat itself, the Super Soldier Academy would be the first to be wiped out.
Now, in order to survive, Rek had to become stronger before the Alien Species outbreak. Having fought against Alien Species for many years in his previous life, he understood well how formidable an Alien Horde led by Intelligent Aliens could be.
The Moon Goddess brought Rek into a laboratory where a middle-aged woman dressed in white with a cold expression was adjusting an instrument in front of her.
"Master Mie!" the Moon Goddess spoke.
The old woman, who was adjusting the instruments, glanced at the Moon Goddess and a rare smile broke through her cold demeanor.
"Moon Goddess, you came at the right time. The method you mentioned earlier about integrating traditional Chinese medicine with heated substances is quite helpful for my research on the Gene Enhancement Solution. Please share your thoughts with me again," Master Mie said, looking at the Moon Goddess and putting down the instrument she was adjusting.
"This is my friend, named Rek. He is also skilled in medicine and is currently a student in the Super Soldier Academy's Special Class Two," the Moon Goddess introduced Rek, nudging him forward.
The old woman looked at Rek with sharp eyes, as if she could pierce through him.
Rek remained unfazed, staring back at the old woman with the surname Mie.
"So you are the Moon Goddess's boyfriend! You better not bully my Moon Goddess. Since you understand medicine, why didn't you sign up for the medical office instead of going to the academy?" the old woman asked Rek.
"I have learned enough Medical Knowledge!
But sometimes studying medicine doesn't allow me to live better or obtain what I want, so I chose to become a Genetic Mecha Warrior," Rek replied in a weary tone. In his Previous Life, he was a doctor; although he liked the profession, he knew that relying solely on medical skills was far from enough to survive in a world plagued by Alien Species.
"You've learned enough Medical Knowledge! Rek, you sure have a big mouth!
Even I wouldn't dare to say such things. I know about your recent encounter with the Alien Maternal Body, but young man, don't be too arrogant. Since you're a friend of the Moon Goddess, feel free to come by the medical office when you have time. You can sit in while I guide her," Master Mie said, finding some amusement in Rek's pompous words after hearing him speak.
