“Master Mie, I see that the instruments and the composition of the medicine you are currently adjusting should be aimed at developing antibodies suitable for human survival in Dark Space, or in other words, a gene-based immune drug for humans. This drug can enhance the human immune system to reduce the damage from toxic gases and radiation in Dark Space,” Rek said to Doctor Mie in front of him.
“Ah! It was the Moon Goddess who told you, right? Yes, this is indeed the type of drug. It is still in the research phase. The Moon Goddess provided me with several insights into traditional Chinese medicine manufacturing processes. This has been very enlightening for my work on gene-based immune drugs,” Doctor Mie replied.
Rek looked at the old woman, while the Moon Goddess beside her was also somewhat surprised. The Moon Goddess knew she had never informed Rek about what kind of drugs her mentor was researching.
“I have a formula and some ideas regarding gene-based immune drugs. Doctor Mie, please listen and see if it inspires you,” Rek said.
After saying this, Rek began to recount from memory a gene immune drug formula that should have been released by the Star Alliance Military Research Institute about ten years later when Alien Species attacked the Main Plane of Earth.
Although Rek did not provide all the specific dosages in his formula, he explained the manufacturing process clearly and logically, as he had a medical background in his previous life.
At first, Doctor Mie did not pay much attention when Rek started speaking, but after listening for a while, she was so astonished that her mouth fell open. She quickly grabbed a piece of paper and a pen to take notes.
Master Mie was very experienced; after listening to Rek for a while, she realized that the method Rek described for formulating gene-based immune drugs was highly feasible.
Once Rek finished speaking, Master Mie quickly turned around and began operating the instruments, completely forgetting that Rek and the Moon Goddess were present.
“My teacher has this personality; once she focuses on medical research, she becomes completely absorbed and ignores everything else.
Rek, you actually know more than I do! I thought I had learned a lot of new things recently and wanted to show off in front of you!” Moon Goddess said to Rek.
“It seems your Master Mie has quite impressive medical skills. I only said it once, and she remembered everything. Moon Goddess, let’s go out for a stroll; with your mentor like this, she probably won’t wake up today,” Rek said to Moon Goddess after glancing at Doctor Mie inputting various data and conducting comparative analysis at the experiment table.
Rek pulled Moon Goddess away from Master Mie's research room.
In a pavilion within the medical office courtyard, Rek and Moon Goddess sat on a metal bench. Rek began to share some of the Gene Drug formulas he knew, as well as some special methods for preparing medicinal liquids, along with numerous medical theories that were published later by the Star Alliance Military Medical School in his previous life.
"Moon Goddess, you have officially been introduced to the medical technology of the Star Alliance and have a mentor. I am only sharing this information with you now; think about it and learn on your own first. Do not tell anyone, not even your mentor," Rek said seriously to Moon Goddess.
Moon Goddess listened in surprise. She already had an exceptional memory, and although she did not fully understand everything Rek said, she recorded it all.
Moon Goddess also realized that the information Rek was sharing had not been mentioned in her previous online research or by Master Mie, indicating that it was likely undisclosed Medical Knowledge.
After some analysis, Moon Goddess thought that if this information were valid, it could potentially lead to the creation of four or five types of enhancement drugs, which could double a soldier's combat effectiveness and survival rate.
"Are these formulas and knowledge correct? How do you know?" Moon Goddess asked curiously.
"Most of it is correct, but the formulas are incomplete and have some minor side effects. You have a year to try and improve the formulas; you can also select one to discuss with your mentor.
Just make sure not to reveal everything, as it would be too shocking. If this extensive Medical Knowledge comes from you, it could cause significant trouble for both of us.
As for the source of this knowledge, if anyone asks, just say you came up with it yourself. I can't disclose the source right now," Rek explained to Moon Goddess.
Rek then shared some precautions and several issues and side effects he encountered while preparing these drugs in his Previous Life.
Time passed quickly; after five or six hours, Rek bid farewell to Moon Goddess as they prepared to leave the infirmary and head to the Student Cafeteria for a meal.
"Rek, let's have dinner in our infirmary's internal cafeteria. After eating, we can go back. I can get you a meal from the infirmary staff; the food here is better than what you find in the Student Cafeteria," Moon Goddess suggested to Rek.
Rek was always eager when it came to food; having experienced hunger in his Previous Life made him feel like he could never be full for a long time.
"Sure," Rek replied enthusiastically.
Moon Goddess led Rek to the internal cafeteria of the infirmary, which was a large dining hall.
Looking around, most of the girls in the restaurant were dressed in nurse uniforms, with a few doctors scattered about.
"Stop looking around and get in line with me to get food. Tell me what you want to eat!" Moon Goddess said, pinching Rek.
People nearby who recognized Moon Goddess, the little nurse, looked at her bringing a handsome student dressed in a school uniform and whispered among themselves. Moon Goddess was now regretting bringing Rek along.
Rek occasionally flashed a lewd smile at the surroundings.
Rek boldly admired the beautiful women and, after ordering a few favorite dishes, was pulled by Moon Goddess to sit down in a corner of the cafeteria.
Moon Goddess began to eat quietly.
Rek chatted with Moon Goddess intermittently.
"By the way, Moon Goddess, since you left Ancient Capital, have you felt any changes in your body?" Rek tried to ask Moon Goddess.
"Before, there wasn't much difference, but since coming to Dark Space, I feel a bit of a headache every morning when I wake up. I didn't notice it until you asked. I checked my pulse myself, but nothing seemed off," Moon Goddess replied.
"I'm worried that the Research Institution in Ancient Capital let you go so easily because they secretly implanted some special activation devices in your body.
The headache you feel might be due to that reason. You study medicine too; now that you're working in the infirmary, the medical equipment here at Academy Fortress is very advanced. If you get a chance, do a check on yourself secretly," Rek said softly to Moon Goddess in front of him.
