"That's no wonder. These three heads must be hidden beneath the Sand, evading detection from the Academy Fortress, along with their bodies, following the Super Soldier Academy.
This means that there are not just three heads under the Sand. There should also be another Alien Species involved, carrying these three heads underground.
The separated heads cannot move on their own.
It seems that the Academy Fortress has already been targeted by the Intelligent Alien from Dark Space, sending out Severed Head Variants to pretend to be captured, intending to weaken some of the Academy Fortress's strength from within," Rek said.
"Can you handle it alone? Do you need me to go with you?" Alice asked Rek.
"I'll check it out myself first. If I can't handle it, I can still run away. If it really gets tough, I'll call you; just make sure to protect the Moon Goddess," Rek replied.
---
Time was tight. After parting ways with Alice, Rek quickly headed towards the Academy Fortress's Second Zone. Along the way, he contacted the Moon Goddess using his Wrist Communicator.
"Rek, what made you think of contacting me today?" The sweet voice of the Moon Goddess came through the Wrist Communicator. Since entering the human world, she had become more lively, her previously dazed expression now filled with more energy.
"Moon Goddess, your medical room should have received a headless living Alien Species. It's not convenient to discuss over the communicator, but Alice will come to find you shortly. Before she arrives, stay away from that Headless Abomination; it's very dangerous," Rek said urgently to the Moon Goddess. Memories from his Previous Life flooded his mind as he recalled the terror of the Severed Head Variant.
That was when the Severed Head Variant first revealed its horror during the later stages of the Exotic Species War on the battlefield.
On a battlefield where Genetic Mecha Warriors were facing off directly, more than ten Headless Abominations that could not be killed turned the tide of battle.
They would instantly recover from any damage; their immortal nature allowed them to regenerate even if their bodies were shattered by laser cannons.
In his Previous Life, these more than ten Alien Species led an Alien Horde and wiped out over a thousand trained Genetic Mecha Warriors, forcing the Star Alliance Commander in charge of combat at that time to order an immediate retreat.
Later, at the Star Alliance Military Laboratory, researchers studied a Headless Abomination captured at the cost of hundreds of Genetic Mecha Warriors. However, on its way back to the laboratory, this Alien Species unexpectedly died. Numerous researchers worked tirelessly to analyze and dissect this Alien Species before reaching their conclusions."
It turns out that the Headless Abomination does have a head. When its head is separated from its body, it emits a special frequency of biological waves that allows the body to reorganize itself when injured.
Their bodies are like a biological puzzle that has been pre-assembled.
As long as the head remains undamaged, the Severed Head Variant's body is effectively immortal. Its offensive power is formidable because its body has no weaknesses and is not afraid of injury.
In Rek's previous life, it took the Star Alliance Military a week to decipher the biological waves of the Severed Head Variant. After developing a biological frequency band to locate the head, they resumed combat with the Alien Species. They used heavy weaponry to precisely strike and destroy the Severed Head Variant's head. Once the head was destroyed, the bodies of these Headless Abominations perished.
However, the week of retreat on the battlefield caused the Star Alliance Military to lose many advantages in the conflict.
When Rek contacted the Moon Goddess, he initiated Genetic Mecha Armor Transformation, and a dark gray Genetic Mech enveloped his entire body.
"Alright, stay safe," came the Moon Goddess's voice from the communicator. Rek then closed the communication with her.
Recalling memories from his previous life, Rek began scanning for special biological frequency bands with his Genetic Mech, primarily focusing on an area within one kilometer underground of the Academy's Second District Training Ground.
Wearing the Genetic Mech, Rek arrived at an external exit of a long Metal Passage in Area Two of the Academy Fortress.
He looked back at the distant Training Ground, where two large Metal Cages covered with black cloth were placed. Inside them were likely parts of the Severed Head Variant's body.
Rek thought to himself that these gapped Metal Cages could not possibly contain the Severed Head Variant's body. Their bodies can compress their bones and quickly squeeze through the gaps in the Metal Cage to recover.
"The Star Alliance Military still underestimates the threat posed by Alien Species!" Rek lamented internally.
"Student, no unauthorized exits are allowed," a soldier guarding the passage stopped Rek as he was about to leave and spoke up.
"What?" Rek was taken aback, thinking that he was preparing to go out and save everyone, to rescue the Fortress! By afternoon, when the Sophomore Students gathered at the training ground, the Headless Abomination's body would likely demonstrate its undead properties.
The military inside the Fortress and the faculty and students of Sophomore were completely unprepared. Faced with an undead Headless Abomination, once students gathered at the Second Training Ground in the afternoon, it would be a massacre of humanity by Alien Species. A scene flashed through Rek's mind of Sophomore Genetic Mecha Warriors being torn apart.
The guard still wouldn't let Rek out. He knew that if he delayed any longer, this Sophomore training ground would turn into hell on earth.
"Under no circumstances are you allowed to go out without a mission. Student, if you want to leave, please present the mission code for going out or an application from your instructor," the soldier said expressionlessly to Rek.
Rek could only step away from the guard for a while and activated the Wrist Communicator to contact Maya.
"Why aren't you eating? What do you need me for at this time?" Maya's voice came through the communicator, and Rek could hear her munching on something.
"I heard that the Headless Abomination is coming to visit this afternoon, so I couldn't help but come to the Second District Training Ground early.
But since I arrived early and have nothing to do, I thought I'd go outside the Fortress for some fresh air and spend some time in the Dark Space. Being exposed to the toxic environment of Dark Space will help my Genetic Mech filter and quickly adapt for upgrades.
Once my Genetic Mech is upgraded, I won't need to wear protective gear when going out on missions anymore," Rek said into the communicator.
After hearing Rek's words, Maya thought for a moment and replied, "In your current situation, letting your Genetic Mech come into contact with Dark Space is beneficial, but there are certain dangers in Dark Space. It's not suitable for you to go out alone.
Let's wait until this afternoon. After watching the Sophomore Students fight against the Headless Abomination, I'll take you and Alice for a walk outside the Fortress."
"I'm not going far from the academy; I'm only moving about ten meters away from the Academy Fortress. It won't be dangerous.
There are numerous defensive firepower around the perimeter of the Fortress. Walking near the outer area of the Fortress is quite safe. Even if an Alien Species appears, the firepower on the Fortress will eliminate it immediately. I won't trouble you, Master Muya, I'm not a child anymore.
I am already a warrior of the Star Alliance Military, a powerful Special Class Two Special Class Genetic Mecha Warrior. But now, the guard soldiers require you to write a simple application before they can let me go," Rek said firmly to Maya.
