Outside the Dark Space Fortress, Rek awaited the arrival of his clone beneath the Sand.
The clone was also dirty, holding two severed heads pierced with bloodied holes by Bone Blade in its right hand. Instead of using its devouring ability to absorb the heads, the clone brought them back to Rek.
"Well done, clone. These Severed Head Variants will be useful. I can take them back to the Super Soldier Academy to alert the Star Alliance Military, allowing them to study this type of head-severing humanoid Alien Species in advance.
This way, we won't be caught off guard like in my previous life when the head-severing Alien Species appeared during the great war. You can return to the Tower of Desire now," Rek casually instructed his clone.
A golden light flashed that only Rek could see, and the clone vanished before his eyes.
"Ah!" Rek exclaimed in surprise upon seeing the clone disappear. It was true that his clone had vanished, but strangely, the two heads it was holding also disappeared.
Rek quickly used Mental Energy to check on the situation inside the Tower of Desire. The clone had already returned and was sitting at a table copying and reading Ancient Buddhist Scriptures, with two bloodied Severed Head Variants placed on the table.
"Oh my god, why didn't I think of this earlier? The clone can travel back and forth to the Tower of Desire. Although it can't bring back sentient beings with high intelligence, any object it touches can be brought into the Tower of Desire.
This! This is like a spatial ring. As long as I utilize my clones properly, I can have them shuttle between the Tower of Desire and bring necessary items there. When I need something, I can have a clone retrieve it from the Tower of Desire. It's as if having both the Tower of Desire and clones gives me a huge spatial ring—this is fantastic!" Rek exclaimed excitedly, feeling invigorated by this sudden joy that washed away his earlier fatigue from battling the Death Worm.
Rek controlled his clone again to come out from the Tower of Desire; this time, it emerged without holding any heads.
"Go back to the Tower of Desire and bring back those two heads," Rek commanded his clone.
With a flash, the clone reappeared, now holding two bloodied heads.
Rek eagerly had his clone try retrieving some sand and bones back to the Tower of Desire. After numerous tests, he discovered that any object that the clone could lift could be sent back to the Tower of Desire and retrieved later when needed.
As Rek had anticipated, this special usage method of the Tower of Desire allowed him to use it as an alternative spatial ring due to his Permanent Clone Technique skill.
There were too few things to experiment with beneath the Sand. Rek planned to wait until he returned to the academy to find opportunities to test this newly discovered incredible storage space.
"Clone, you go back to Tower of Desire first, leave the heads to me," Rek said to the clone, which obediently disappeared again.
Rek was quite pleased, holding two heads in one hand along with some bones from the heads he had killed and bones from the Death Worm. He activated the drill on his left arm of the Genetic Mech and began to dig through the underground Sand to return to the surface.
Once back on the Ground, Rek felt the cold wind of the Dark Space hitting him and enjoyed the sensation of not having Sand over his head, being able to see the sky, even if it was a dark red color.
Looking around, Rek noticed that the Super Soldier Academy Fortress was quite a distance away. Fortunately, he had brought a small thruster with him this time to speed up his movement.
He adjusted the direction of the small thruster on his back and activated it. A hot Heat Wave burst out from behind him as Rek quickly flew low over the Sand, chasing after the moving Super Soldier Academy Fortress.
After more than ten minutes, Rek caught up with the Fortress, returning to the Metal Passage in the Second Zone where he had previously exited.
At the entrance of the Metal Passage, Rek swiped his Identity Watch, and the metal door opened.
Entering the Metal Passage, he first stepped into a disinfection chamber.
Every time he returned from a mission in the Dark Space to the Fortress, he needed to undergo a physical examination.
Disinfecting rays scanned and detected Rek's body. After a minute, a green indicator light lit up, showing that Rek was not infected. However, the two heads he was carrying belonged to an Alien Species, and the display in the disinfection chamber indicated that these were hazardous items that needed to be surrendered and could not be taken out of the chamber.
Deciding to take advantage of the situation, Rek pretended to faint and collapsed onto the metal floor inside the disinfection chamber.
His fainting startled the guard soldiers.
The guards remembered that just one or two hours ago, this new student called Rek, classified as Special Class Two, had just left the Fortress on a mission.
It hadn't even been two hours since he returned, and not only was he covered in blood and Sand, but his protective suit was also tattered. He was still holding onto heads and bones from an Alien Species, clearly indicating that this new student had just gone through a life-and-death battle with them in such a short time.
However, there had been no alarms indicating any presence of an Alien Species near the Academy Fortress. The guards were initially planning to wait for Rek to enter the academy before asking about his situation before reporting it.
Now, the student known as Rek has collapsed in the Quarantine Disinfection Room, his life unknown. Fortunately, scans show that Rek has not been infected by the toxic gases and radiation from Dark Space.
The guards quickly followed protocol, notifying Rek's class supervisor, Master Muya, and the infirmary, while also reporting to the Operation Command Center of the Super Soldier Academy.
"A Special Class Two Trainee Rayke left the Academy Fortress at noon and returned at one thirty-five. Preliminary assessments indicate that during this time, Rek engaged in combat with Dark Space Aliens.
Currently, Rek is unconscious with an Alien Species head in the Second District Training Ground near the Dark Space exit passage. He remains in need of medical attention."

Outside the Second District Training Ground, Maya had just met Alice and was preparing to leave when her Wrist Communicator suddenly received an urgent message from the school.
After reading the message on her Wrist Communicator, Maya's expression changed. Without saying a word, she hurried back to the Metal Passage beside the Second District Training Ground.
The guards looked at Master Muya, who had just sent out the message and arrived in less than ten seconds, wondering when the teachers at Academy Fortress had become so efficient in their responses.
"Where is my student Rek? What happened to him?" Maya urgently asked the guards.
"Rek just returned from the passage a few minutes ago and collapsed in the Quarantine Disinfection Room. He was covered in blood and brought back an Alien Species head. He hasn't been infected by Dark Space; he must have been injured during a fight with the Alien Species," one guard explained as he led Maya to see Rek in the Quarantine Room.
Golden-Haired Alice followed closely behind Maya, intrigued to see Rek.
