After finishing their meal in the cafeteria of the medical office, Moon Goddess and Rek headed towards the Deluxe Double Room.
"How did it go last night with that freshman class teacher, Orland? I checked Orland's profile and found out he is quite an impressive Special Teacher at the academy," Moon Goddess asked thoughtfully.
"You didn't get on his bad side, did you? If so, I can switch your room tonight," she added.
Rek smiled and replied, "No need to change. I've already smoothed things over with Orland. I slept pretty well last night."
When they arrived at the ward and pushed the door open, Moon Goddess immediately saw Orland sitting on the hospital bed. He was wrapped in twice as many bandages as when she had seen him last night, his face swollen and deformed, with a front tooth missing.
At that moment, Orland was arguing with a nurse.
"I want to change rooms! I'm not staying in this one anymore; give me a private room," Orland insisted, speaking through a mouth that barely closed.
"But, Mr. Orland, there are no available single rooms right now. Besides, this room has the best conditions. I heard you were sleepwalking and have self-harming tendencies last night. Since Rek is staying in this room as well, he can keep an eye on you to prevent any unexpected situations," the nurse explained somewhat awkwardly.
"Our medical staff can't monitor you during sleepwalking episodes. For your comfort, please stay in this room for one more night. Our psychologist is on leave today, but he will check on you tomorrow when he returns to work," she added.
Seeing Orland's current state and hearing the nurse's words, Moon Goddess had already guessed what had happened.
Given Orland's miserable condition now, it was highly likely that Rek was involved. Otherwise, Orland had been fine for several days before Rek arrived, and there had been no reports of him having sleepwalking or self-harming tendencies.
The Moon Goddess couldn't believe how Rek managed to keep Orland from reporting him.
When Orland saw the Moon God Doctor and Rek enter, his temper flared even more. He began shouting at the nurses, "I need to change rooms! I won't stay here. Get your Doctor Mie and call the head of the medical office!"
Seeing Orland's furious demeanor, the nearby Nurse was frightened and glanced awkwardly at the Moon Goddess behind her.
The Moon Goddess confidently stepped forward, revealing a Golden Needle that had somehow appeared in her hand, and inserted it into Orland's head.
Caught off guard by the Moon Goddess, Orland, who was shouting, collapsed onto the bed after being pierced by the long Golden Needle.
The Nurse looked at the Moon Goddess in surprise.
"It's fine. This patient is too agitated. I used the Golden Needle to make him sleep for a while. The Drowsiness Acupoint I targeted won't cause any issues," the Moon Goddess said calmly.
The Nurse looked at the Moon Goddess with admiration.
"Your medical office should have some restraints for patients, right? It would be best to tie Orland down to the bed while he's unconscious. I think there might be a significant issue with his mental state, much worse than we anticipated," Rek suggested from the side.
The Moon Goddess nodded. The small nurse in the room quickly retrieved metal restraints for agitated patients from a large drawer beside the bed and skillfully secured Orland to the hospital bed.
"Should we give him some anesthetic to keep him asleep longer?" the small nurse asked.
"No need for anesthetics. Orland has already received a lot during his previous surgery. More would affect his health. Bring over an Electroconvulsive Therapy Device and place it in the room. If Teacher Orland shows signs of agitation again, we can try using electroconvulsive therapy," the Moon Goddess replied after thinking for a moment.
Hearing the words of Moon Goddess, Rek gave her a thumbs up from behind.
The nurse followed Moon Goddess's instructions and soon brought an Electroconvulsive Therapy Device, which was then attached to Orland's body.
"Alright, you can go out now. I'll handle things here," Moon Goddess said to the nurse, who obediently left.
Moon Goddess glanced at Rek and handed him the remote control for the electroshock device.
"Don't kill him; that would be hard to explain. I still have to go help Master Mie with an experiment this afternoon, so contact me urgently using the Wrist Communicator," Moon Goddess instructed Rek.
"Don't worry, you know I'm a doctor too. I know how to handle things carefully. I guarantee I'll fix Orland's violent mental state by tonight," Rek confidently replied as he took the remote control from Moon Goddess and gave her a reassuring look.
Moon Goddess raised her hand and removed the Golden Needle from the unconscious Orland's head, then turned to leave the ward, reminding the nurse not to enter unless called.
The room was left with just Rek and the unconscious Orland.
Rek looked at the electroshock remote device in his hand, feeling it was quite a good tool. He set it to maximum power, checked that the door was closed, and then pressed a button.
"Ah!" Orland screamed in agony, his chest heaving rapidly. Fortunately, the metal straps held him firmly on the bed; otherwise, he might have fallen off.
Orland painfully opened his eyes and realized he was tightly bound to the bed, with an electric device beside him. Rek was looking at him with a mischievous grin.
"What did you do to me? Where's the doctor? Where's the nurse? Quickly untie me!" Orland urgently shouted at Rek.
“Mr. Orland, you previously admitted to experiencing sleepwalking and self-harm tendencies.
The staff in the infirmary, for your safety, brought you restraints and arranged a treatment method for you that has no side effects.
Do you know what that treatment is? It's very famous, has been used for a long time, and works wonders for patients with mental issues. Take a guess!” Rek said with a smile to Orland.
“I have no mental problems, Rek! You’re harming me! You’re using electric shocks on me! Ahhh!” Orland exclaimed.
Rek pressed the shock button again, and Orland screamed, his body trembling, his hair standing on end.
“Congratulations, you guessed it right—it's electric shocks. Don't get too worked up, Mr. Orland.
This is for your own good; honestly, I don’t feel great about shocking you either. Every time I shock you, your body hurts, and as a student, it makes me feel bad too!” Rek said as he pressed the shock button once more.
“Ahhh!” Orland screamed, convulsing all over.
After a few seconds, Rek stopped, and Orland gasped for breath, too afraid to speak.
“Mr. Orland, are you okay? Don’t faint on me—Is your heart not beating? Don’t worry; I’ll save you right now. Thankfully we have this electric shock device; it’s a lifesaver,” Rek said from the side as he began pressing the shock device again.
Orland trembled once more from the shock.
