Rek began to play with the electric shock button with great interest. By noon, Orland had been shocked into unconsciousness and then revived multiple times, even foaming at the mouth.

"I'm staying in the hospital room to make it easier for the doctors to check on me. If anything happens, they can treat me right away."
"Oh!" Maya said as she entered the room. She saw a middle-aged man lying on the bed by the window, completely wrapped in bandages, looking disheveled with singed hair.
Maya took a closer look and realized that this middle-aged man was actually Orland. At first glance, she almost didn't recognize him in such a pitiful state.

Hearing Rek's words, Maya looked worriedly at Orland.
Orland lay with his eyes closed, turning his head. He had heard everything Rek and Maya said at the door.
Orland was feeling quite angry inside; Rek had made him suffer so much, and now he was being mocked for having a mental illness.
The person Orland least wanted to see right now was Maya. Orland had pursued Maya before, and he knew he was older than her. He had always dressed up and tried to appear as handsome and youthful as possible in front of her.
Now that Maya saw him like this, Orland wished he could just disappear into a crack in the ground.
"Orland, it's me, Maya. I've come to visit you. How is your recovery going?" Maya said softly to Orland, who was tied to the bed.
Orland opened his eyes cautiously. After taking a careful look at his beloved Maya, a complex expression appeared in his eyes. He then turned his head away and closed his eyes, refusing to speak.
"Rek, what's wrong with Orland? Why isn't he talking? He even turned away from me," Maya asked Rek with some confusion, putting down the fruit she was holding.
"It seems that Teacher Orland is still a bit depressed, but that's okay. The doctor gave me a small treatment method that should help alleviate Orland's current condition.
This treatment is very simple; just press it a couple of times," Rek said as he pressed the button on the Electroconvulsive Therapy Device in his hand.
"Ah!" Orland's body twisted in pain. He hadn't expected Rek to be so bold; even with Master Muya present, Rek dared to press the shock button to torment him.
Orland struggled to shout at Rek for help, but the electric shock left him unable to speak.
"What are you doing? Stop it!" Maya quickly intervened, and upon hearing her words, Rek stopped pressing the shock button.
Orland gasped for breath, looking at Maya with an expression as if she were his savior.
"Master Muya, you see? After the electric shock, Orland has returned to a somewhat normal state; it's working.
Look, Orland is looking at you."
"This electric shock is a normal treatment in the medical room. It is very effective for someone like him with mental issues. Just take another look," Rek said, pressing the electric shock button again, causing Orland's body to convulse once more. "Ah! Ah!" he cried out twice.

Rek's words about being a savior completely touched Maya's heart.

Maya pressed the electric shock button again.
"Yes, just like that. You need to hold it down for a longer time," Rek began to guide Maya in torturing Orland.

Maya turned and left, closing the door to the hospital room behind her.

Orland's body trembled wildly on the bed, the metal restraints rattling from his struggles.
After more than ten seconds, Orland's body went still, falling unconscious again with foam at the mouth. His hair and eyebrows were singed, and blood-tinged foam dripped from the cracked corners of his mouth.
Rek had had enough fun this time. Looking at Orland's miserable state, he thought that only a warrior who had undergone multiple evolutions through Genetic Mech could withstand such high voltage shocks without dying; a regular person would have been killed long ago.
Rek decided not to wake Orland again to continue torturing him; if he kept going, Orland would likely die for real.
He placed the electric shock button on a small table in the room.
Rek began planning for tomorrow's training mission.
That evening, Rek had dinner with Moon Goddess, who also came to check on Orland to see if Rek had killed him.
Seeing Orland unconscious with blood-tinged foam at his mouth, Moon Goddess inspected the instruments connected to him in the hospital room.
"He's okay. Although his organs are somewhat failing and he's very weak, he’s not dead yet. I'll prescribe some medication and give him an IV," Moon Goddess said after examining Orland's body, wiping away the blood at the corner of his mouth.
Moon Goddess had the nurse bring some potions, and after preparing them, she hung an IV bag for Orland.

After Moon Goddess left, that evening Rek, having the potion provided by Moon Goddess, smiled at Orland, ready to have some fun.
"Ah!" Orland was jolted awake again by Rek.
"Get ready to enjoy a power feast! Teacher Orland, I even got someone to set up the IV for you to save your life, so don't worry, you won't die," Rek exclaimed as he began to play the Real Electric Shock Game wildly that night.
Orland's body twisted on the hospital bed like an electrified eel, enduring Rek's torment for half the night.
When Rek woke up in the morning, he noticed that all of Orland's hair had fallen out, leaving a shiny bald head that gleamed like a little light bulb after being electrified.
"Ha, I didn't expect that charging you would result in an Ability. From now on, you can use your bald head as a light bulb and not be afraid of the dark anymore," Rek chuckled in amazement.
Seeing that it was almost time, Rek quickly went to the internal cafeteria of the infirmary to grab some breakfast before heading to the exit of the Super Soldier Academy First District Training Ground, waiting to carry out his patrol mission.
