Blood gushed from Rek's left wrist artery, and even though the War God System was using energy to help him produce blood, Rek's face began to pale.
"Rek, stop! We won't fight anymore! I will marry whoever you want," Maya shouted from the audience.
However, Rek on stage remained unmoved.
"Host, the stored energy has been depleted. Starting to heal your wounds," the voice of the War God System echoed in Rek's mind, and then the bleeding from his left arm ceased.
To outsiders, it seemed that Rek had lost too much blood, and that was why the bleeding stopped.
"Using A-Rank Sacrificial Summoning Scroll, sacrificing my spilled blood. May the heavens bless me; I hope to summon a powerful otherworldly creature that can take down this Father-in-law," Rek said to the War God System in his mind, praying that all this bloodshed would not be in vain.
A golden scroll, visible only to Rek, appeared before him, and a black hole of Time Rift emerged. The blood beneath Rek's feet began to disappear rapidly.
The suddenly appearing Time Rift started as small as a fist but quickly grew larger, soon reaching the height of a person. A powerful aura emanated from within the Time Rift.
"Not good! An unstable rift from another dimension; quickly, seal off the Training Ground!" General Muku Tenmu on the Arena shouted to the personnel below upon seeing the Time Rift.
This Time Rift had appeared in both the Main World and Earth before, but it was extremely rare. Most of the time, strange unknown creatures would emerge from within. It was unexpected for one to appear today in the Sanctuary Base's training ground.
A swirling Heat Wave flew out from the Time Rift.
The Heat Wave spun rapidly above the Arena as if it were alive.
The voice of the War God System echoed in Rek's mind: "Host has used the A-Rank Sacrificial Summoning Scroll to summon the Otherworldly Whirlwind Entity. The current energy allows this Heat Wave creature to perform a whirlwind strike once."
"Heat Wave, use all your strength and strike at General Muku Tenmu!" Rek immediately commanded, knowing that the first move was crucial.
As the spectators watched this unknown whirlwind, the Heat Wave suddenly began to spin rapidly. This small Heat Wave gave off an impression of possessing the power of a massive tornado as it charged straight towards General Muku Tenmu.
General Muku Tenmu's barrier resisted the impact of the Heat Wave.
In fact, if he had engaged directly, General Muku Tenmu was confident he could stop the Heat Wave. However, to conserve energy, he jumped back to evade and then activated his barrier's sword formation. Numerous long swords began to swirl around the Heat Wave, slicing at it.
After more than ten seconds, the Heat Wave vanished, and the Time Rift closed as well.
General Muku Tenmu looked at the disappearing Time Rift and the unknown Heat Wave, letting out a long sigh of relief.
Rek surveyed the Arena, which was in disarray; General Muku Tenmu had retreated beneath it.
"Father-in-law, in this match, you have fallen from the Arena. According to the rules you set earlier, I have won," Rek shouted from the Arena.
Hearing Rek's words, General Muku Tenmu glanced at his current position and angrily shouted back, "Ignorant boy! If it weren't for me cutting down that Heat Wave to save you all when that otherworldly creature suddenly appeared, you would have died in the Arena!"
Rek laughed loudly in response, "I fear neither life nor death. The rules were yours to establish; the sudden appearance of an unknown creature is fate allowing me to win. Heaven must think I am fated with your daughter and disapproves of your meddling in our affairs, sending the Heat Wave to strike you."
"You!" General Muku Tenmu wanted to continue arguing.
But Maya stepped forward, jumped onto the Arena, and quickly helped Rek into the Advanced Healing Pod of the medical team below for treatment.
"Dad, you are one of the three commanders of the Star Alliance Military, and your words must count," Maya said, giving her father a sidelong glance.
"Alright, this match counts as Rek passing," Aunt Xue said as she stepped forward to support General Muku Tenmu, who had just used a barrier and was quite exhausted.
The competition continued, with General Muku Tenmu standing sternly in the Arena.
The remaining twelve contestants were in for a tough time.
