After listening, Rek looked at the old bastard Muku Tenmu in front of him, feeling a surge of anger inside.
Rek recalled that in his previous life, during this time, the Star Alliance and the Glorious Empire on the Main Plane of Earth had discovered a meteorite in space and subsequently sent a spaceship to detonate it.

This left Earth Prime World vulnerable when the Alien Catastrophe erupted a year later, as the human military on the Main Plane of Earth lacked sufficient firepower to suppress the Alien Species.
Rek was troubled, knowing that this was likely a mission with no chance of survival. There would be great dangers on the meteorite, and once he participated, there would be no coming back.
However, looking at General Muku Tenmu who was mocking him, Rek understood that if he gave up now, it would mean losing this competition.
If he lost, not only would Maya be engaged to someone else, but more importantly, he himself would be possessed by the War God System and go on a killing spree. He knew that if he killed all twelve participants present, he would undoubtedly become a target for the entire Star Alliance Military and several major families. "Rek, come over here for a moment," Aunt Xue said to Rek as she pulled him aside.
"Stepmother, what do you need?" Rek asked Aunt Xue, who he had a decent impression of.
"Rek, you should just give up! You're still young; you might have another chance with Maya in the future. Engagement doesn't mean everything. Time can change many things; you might not even like Maya in a few years.
But if you agree to participate in this competition, my husband General Muku Tenmu will really send you on that spaceship mission.
The Star Alliance Military has assessed that this mission has a death rate exceeding ninety percent. After all, traveling into space near a meteorite involves special energy fields, and we don't even know if there are other dangerous creatures on that meteorite. Rek walked back to General Muku Tenmu's side and looked at him with a mocking expression. He then spoke loudly to everyone present.
"Maya is my beloved. For her sake, I will undertake any dangerous mission.
This mission is also about saving Earth. I want to be brave and save the world. I will fight for it, and if I survive and return, I hope that Father-in-law will not obstruct my marriage to Maya."
Hearing Rek's words, Maya felt somewhat touched.

"Rek, have you thought this through? Undertaking this mission means facing almost certain death," General Muku Tenmu said, finally offering a word of caution due to Rek's sincerity towards his daughter.
"I will come back alive, Father-in-law," Rek replied with a forced smile.
"I declare that in the fourth round of the courage competition, Rek has won and becomes the ultimate victor. If Rek can survive this mission, he will become my Mu Family's son-in-law."
Time is tight, and Rek will immediately head to the Main World, board the Spaceship, and fly to the Meteor Execution Planet Alliance for the Meteor Explosion Mission with the Glorious Empire," General Muku Tenmu announced.
Upon hearing General Muku Tenmu's announcement, the other family members present did not voice any further objections.
The old fellows understood clearly that General Muku Tenmu had stated that Rek's return alive would validate the marriage with Maya from the Mu Family; if he died on the mission, the engagement would be null and void.
Now, everyone looked at Rek as if he were already dead.
For someone who was about to die yet was still a hero fighting for Earth's future, the other family members present, even the competitors who were testing themselves against Rek, no longer troubled him but instead looked at him with admiration.
After hearing her father's announcement, Maya realized that things could not be changed. She ran to Rek's side, crying and scolding him, "You idiot, you're such a big fool."
"Maya, I will become your fiancé. I'm not going to die so easily. Wait for me to come back. Unfortunately, I have to leave now and can't attend your birthday party. By the way, I remember your birthday isn't today, right?"
"One is solar and one is lunar; today is my lunar birthday. Rek, you must come back alive to celebrate my solar birthday with me. Also, Rek, why don't we sneak away right now?" Maya whispered in Rek's ear.
Rek did not hear the War God System's completion sound in his mind; it seemed that the competition mission was not over yet. It appeared he had to complete the task of detonating the space meteor before returning to Earth to be considered victorious.
"I can't run away. If I do, you'll just get engaged to someone else.
I promised you before I came here that I would handle your old man. I won't let you marry anyone else," Rek said softly to Maya. Given the circumstances, he could only say some brave words now.
