Hua Tuo looked at Rek, weighing the forgotten interactions with him and assessing whether he could trust this human boy whom he still found elusive.
"How many Special Energy Crystals do you want, and what grade?" After some thought, Hua Tuo Elder couldn't suppress his curiosity about the Ancient Ruins and asked Rek.
"A hundred top-grade Special Energy Crystals," Rek replied casually.
"Are you dreaming? You want a hundred. There aren't even a hundred top-grade Special Energy Crystals in the entire Star Alliance. Three!
I can only give you three for now. If I confirm that your information is correct and I find the Ruins Entrance, even if I don't get anything useful after entering, I'll give you another seven, totaling ten.
I can't offer more than that," Hua Tuo Old Robot said through gritted teeth.
"Ten it is, but you need to hand them over first before I tell you the information.
These ten top-grade Special Energy Crystals are just the entry fee for you to join," Rek insisted, adamant about receiving payment before proceeding with the collaboration.
Rek understood that the more he pressed for this arrangement, the more Hua Tuo Elder would eventually trust his words.
The two were at a standstill. Rek glanced at the Bilateral Time-Space Gate provided by the War God System. Although there was some time difference between the Main World, Star Alliance, and Dark Space, the War God System indicated that there was only half an hour left in the twelve-hour countdown for the Bilateral Time-Space Gate to reopen.
"I'll give you half an hour. After that, I'm leaving.
If I don't receive ten top-grade Special Energy Crystals within this time, our deal is off, and I'll look for other collaborating organizations.
I believe there will be many organizations willing to pay ten top-grade Special Energy Crystals for a ticket to enter the Ancient Ruins," Rek told Hua Tuo in front of him while activating his previously prepared fake Identity Watch with only a timer function, setting it for a thirty-minute countdown.
Rek had already decided in his mind that if Hua Tuo didn't take the bait, he would find another way to trick Father-in-law General Muku Tenmu.
Hua Tuo watched Rek's confident demeanor and understood that the opportunity to enter the Ancient Ruins was rare. After a moment, he began issuing commands to his robotic subordinates.
Soon, a middle-aged human researcher emerged from Hua Tuo's wooden house, holding a small metal box.
"I have the ten Supreme Energy Crystals you requested. Now tell me about the entrance to the Ancient Ruins.
You better speak the truth; do not deceive me.
Otherwise, unless you hide forever in the Dark Space, once you return to the Main World, my robots will hunt you down and kill you.
You know I can replace any human in the Main World with my Cloned Robots.
If you lie to me, you will find no peace when you return to the Main World." Hua Tuo Elder threw the box to Rek and said solemnly.
Ten high-quality Special Energy Crystals were a valuable source of energy for Hua Tuo, something that even great wealth could not easily buy.
Rek caught the box and opened it for inspection.
"Ding! Scanning Host... detected high-quality Special Energy Crystals. All in the universe belong to the War God..." Before Rek could examine it closely, the War God System took control of Rek's right hand, turning it golden. Rek quickly touched the Supreme Energy Crystals inside the box with his right hand.
The ten energy crystals vanished from Rek's grasp.
The researcher who had just delivered the box watched Rek's actions, feeling compelled to rush forward and hold onto him, fearing that Rek might escape afterward.
"Don't rush over! This is for me! It's normal for me to take it; your boss Hua Tuo agreed! I'll explain how to access the Ancient Ruins entrance right now."
"Rek" spoke up.
"Hua Tuo" then waved his hand, signaling the "Robot Researcher" to retreat back to the wooden house.
"Rek" smiled at "Hua Tuo": "Regarding the coordinates of this "Ancient Ruins," you just need to take the "Space Train" that connects the "Star Alliance Military" with the "Dark Space."
During the journey, do not use "Genetic Mecha Armor Transformation," relax your mind, and when traversing between the two worlds, you might hear the voice of a mysterious woman.
This woman's voice will reveal a set of coordinates, as for whether you can hear more information, that depends on fate!" "Rek" said with a smile.
"So simple! Just take the "Space Train" from the "Star Alliance Military" to the "Dark Space," and you can hear it?
Then why has the "Star Alliance Military" established many years of space "Metal Circular Rail Trains," yet the coordinates of this "Ancient Ruins" have not been discovered by the military?" asked "Hua Tuo Old Robot" with some skepticism.
"Of course, those who take the "Space Train" must meet several criteria.
First: You must be strong in your own right.
Second: You must be able to withstand dizziness.
Third: You cannot use "Genetic Mecha Armor Transformation," relying solely on your physical state while the train traverses space.
Fourth: You must remain awake in the "Space Train," and keep your mind relaxed, without thinking about anything.
Fifth: A bit of luck is also required.
Meeting all these criteria at once is quite difficult."
The Veterans and commanders heading to Dark Space will undergo Genetic Mecha Armor Transformation while riding the Space Train.
As for the new recruits, if they manage to ride the Space Train without feeling nauseous, it means they have good physical constitution.
Even if some soldiers and commanders occasionally ride the Space Train without using a Genetic Mech and do not feel dizzy, it is likely that their minds are still tense. Even if they do hear some sounds, they would mostly dismiss them as illusions experienced while traversing two spaces.
"I suggest you act quickly to obtain the coordinates of this Ancient Ruins before the Star Alliance Military takes notice of it," Rek confidently told Hua Tuo.
"Then why don't you go investigate it yourself? You already know how to do it; why not take the Space Train and listen for yourself?" Hua Tuo replied, still somewhat skeptical.
"I tried that over ten days ago, but I didn't hear everything!
Moreover, my current identity is that of a soldier from the Dark Space Super Soldier Academy, and I have no excuse to make multiple trips on the Space Train between the Main World and Dark Space.
So, how about it, Hua Tuo? Are you interested in taking a few rides on the Space Train to experience the thrill of traveling back and forth between Dark Space and the Main World? I tell you, that process is even more exciting than a roller coaster; it's exhilarating!" Rek said to Hua Tuo.
After considering it for a moment, Hua Tuo looked at Rek and saw his sincerity; he didn't seem to be deceiving him.
"I will arrange for my subordinates—those Cloned Imitation Robots who have already infiltrated high levels of the human military—to investigate this matter!
I am not suited to leave the Ancient Capital, nor is it convenient for me to do so. You better not be deceiving me; otherwise, you know the consequences!" Hua Tuo said.
Hearing Hua Tuo's words, Rek felt somewhat taken aback. Given Hua Tuo's cautious demeanor, it seemed unlikely that he could drag Hua Tuo into this matter easily.
Rek had not considered that Hua Tuo had many loyal robots under his command who would not betray or leak information.
"Are you really not going to listen to that mysterious Coordinate sound yourself? Can your subordinates alone handle this?" Rek asked, trying to express his reluctance.
Listening to Rek's inquiry, Hua Tuo said, "Don't worry, don't underestimate the technology of Ancient Capital. At the Ancient Capital Research Institute, our research on the human brain far exceeds that of the Star Alliance Military.
I will arrange for a High-Fidelity Robot to have a special device implanted in its brain that can completely record any mental and linguistic sounds it hears. When it returns, I can simply retrieve the recorded sounds using the device.
This way, it will be more comprehensive than if I were to listen in person. After all, my old body might not withstand the stimulation of traveling through the Space Train."
Now it was Rek's turn to be surprised.
"Are you saying you plan to record the sounds from the Ruins Entrance Coordinate?
In the Spatial Channel, many devices malfunction. Will the device installed in the High-Fidelity Robot work properly?" Rek asked, somewhat astonished.
"That's just your misunderstanding of certain laws of space.
There's no point in explaining it further; you wouldn't understand.
If, as you described, there are indeed mysterious sounds speaking about the entrance Coordinate of ancient ruins between two spatial channels, my High-Fidelity Robot will definitely be able to record those sounds accurately and without missing a detail," Hua Tuo Old Robot confidently stated.
"Well, Hua Tuo, once you successfully record the complete sound of the Coordinate, please do not share that recording with anyone.
After all, this matter regarding the entrance to the Ancient Ruins is very sensitive; it's best if fewer people know about it.
Also, if you really can record the sound of that Coordinate perfectly, make sure to notify me immediately. Don't keep it to yourself! Please don't share it with anyone else! The consequences could be severe! You know I have some special methods too!" Rek reminded Hua Tuo again.
Now this situation had already exceeded Rek's initial expectations; Hua Tuo Old Robot could actually have its subordinates record complete sounds.
Rek thought to himself, hoping that the recorded sounds wouldn't carry any Deadly Curse.
Even if it truly carries a curse, Rek prayed that Hua Tuo would not spread the news of the entrance to the Ancient Ruins.
If the cursed sound spread in the human world, anyone who heard it would die three months later. By then, Earth would likely be left with only the deaf alive. Rek could not imagine the devastation that his plan could bring to the human world.
Hua Tuo Old Robot impatiently said to Rek, "Got it. Do you have anything else to say about the Ancient Ruins? If not, you need to leave within thirty minutes. Time is almost up, so hurry up and go!"
Hua Tuo Old Robot thought that Rek was asking him not to share the information and that he wanted to be informed immediately once it was recorded, hoping to go to the Ancient Ruins together.
Seeing Hua Tuo's expression, Rek knew there was no point in saying more.
With only six or seven minutes left on the twelve-hour limit of the Bilateral Time-Space Gate, Rek realized that if he didn't leave now, he wouldn't be able to.
"I'm leaving. If you discover anything or finish recording this sound, you can find me at Dark Space Super Soldier Academy Fortress," Rek said as he turned and walked toward the cabin.
Back inside the cabin, Rek activated the Bilateral Time-Space Gate, and a golden door reappeared at the same spot where it had first manifested.
Rek stepped through it.
In the courtyard, Hua Tuo Elder used a detector and found that Rek had mysteriously vanished from the cabin once again.
"Install detection devices in every corner of this cabin and set up some hidden capture equipment throughout both the inner and outer courtyards of Hua Tuo Medical Center.
Fortunately, this time it was Rek who came; he wasn't here to kill me or steal anything.
I don't want anyone to appear beside me without my knowledge. The defense systems of Ancient Capital need to be upgraded again," Hua Tuo Elder said aloud.
The robots from Ancient Capital Research Institute began executing Hua Tuo Elder's orders immediately.
Rek emerged from the two-way space portal, appearing in the bathroom of the dormitory building at Dark Space Super Soldier Academy Fortress.
Rek glanced at the fake Identity Watch in his hand, which only displayed the time, indicating it was noon in Dark Space.
He then used Mental Energy to check on his avatar, discovering that it was currently having lunch with Alice in the cafeteria.
"Avatar, return to the dormitory by yourself, and it's best not to bring Alice back," Rek commanded his avatar.
The avatar, sitting at the table with Alice, put down its utensils and said to Golden-Haired Alice, "I forgot something in the dormitory. I'll go back and get it. See you in class this afternoon; take your time eating."
"Go ahead! It's just a class; what could you possibly need?" Alice complained while eating, not pressing further.
The avatar of Rek stood up and left the cafeteria, quickly heading towards the dormitory.
Upon returning to the dormitory, Rek looked at his diligent avatar with satisfaction.
After swapping the fake Identity Watch for the real one from his avatar, Rek retracted the avatar back into the Tower of Desire.
He picked up the Wrist Communicator and sent a message to Moon Goddess.
"After class this afternoon, I'll go to the infirmary to find you; I have obtained the item."
Not even ten seconds after sending the message, a call request from Moon Goddess came through.
With a helpless smile, Rek accepted the call request from Moon Goddess on his Wrist Communicator.
“Rek, you really managed to get the surgical instruments needed for the operation! How did you get them so quickly? Is it real?” The excited voice of Moon Goddess came through the communicator.
“I got them, it's real! I can't go into details about the process. Have you finished the surgical plan I asked you to write yesterday, and the 3D virtual model of the head you were working on?” Rek asked.
“I finished it; I stayed up late last night to complete it.
Rek, you're amazing! Is there anything else I need to prepare? Can we perform the surgery tonight?” Moon Goddess inquired.
“You’d better find an operating room where no one will disturb us; we’ll do the surgery tonight. You have all the surgical equipment and instruments ready. It would be best to have some that can operate independently without external power,” Rek said after thinking for a moment.
“The instruments and operating room are easy to arrange. Generally, military medical equipment can be charged in advance, and most of it is portable. I’ll find an unused operating room right now and charge those Surgical Instruments.
Rek, this surgery doesn’t depend solely on the instruments and equipment; the most important thing is the surgeon's skill and experience,” Moon Goddess said softly, still feeling a bit nervous.
“Trust my skills; there won’t be any problems. I guarantee a hundred percent success for this surgery. Alright, I have class this afternoon, and I’ll come find you in the infirmary after school. During this time, you’d better rest and maintain your Stamina and focus,” Rek replied, chatting briefly with Moon Goddess before turning off the communicator.
After changing into his academy uniform, Rek checked the time; it was almost time for his first class in the afternoon. He left his dormitory and headed towards the exclusive classroom of Special Class Two at Super Soldier Academy.
