Rek was tormented inside. He knew that if he jumped down to save Alice and Maya, all three of them would likely die in this cave, their bones would be eaten away.
But Rek couldn't bring himself to seal the cave and completely bury Alice and Maya's hopes of survival.
However, the next second, a voice from the War God System echoed in Rek's mind.

Mission Name: Rescue of Teammates' True Desires.

The clone, blending seamlessly with its surroundings, approached Rek and smiled lightly. Then its body began to soften rapidly, transforming into a liquid-like substance similar to sticky rice cake. Upon contact with Rek, it merged into his body.
The merging process was swift; after merging, Rek felt an overwhelming surge of power coursing through him, instantly enhancing his abilities by ten percent as if he had taken a stimulant.
Moments later, with a loud "crack," the entrance of the Underground Vein was completely sealed off by the mechanical drill head.
Below in the mine, Maya and Alice were just about to give up resisting and were despairingly preparing for death when suddenly a figure leaped from the tip of the drill head into the mine.
The figure slid along the stone wall, thrusting a Demon Blade into it and gliding for several dozen meters before landing beside Alice and Maya.
The warrior who descended from above drew out the Demon Blade and swiftly slashed at the surrounding Head Abominations, turning seven or eight Headless Abominations within a one-meter radius into fragments.
Blood rained down upon the three of them.
“Maya, Alice, I'm here to accompany you!” Rek's frustrated voice said.
“Rek, I misunderstood you, boo hoo!” Alice saw that Rek had actually come down to join them in danger and realized she had wrongly accused him before.
Now this blonde girl, Alice, was so moved that she started to cry. Looking at the bloodied Rek, her first impression was that he was quite handsome.
“You! Why don’t you listen to orders? Coming down here is just asking for death! What are you doing?” Maya said to Rek with some anger, though a smile still appeared at the corner of her mouth.
“Just rest behind me for now. You only need to deal with the Headless Abominations crawling out from the stone wall behind us. Leave the Alien Species in front to me,” Rek said, stepping forward to shield the two of them and began swinging his Demon Blade.
The group of Head Abominations in the depths of the cave charged forward again.

The speed at which Rek swung the Demon Blade increased rapidly, soon Maya and Alice could barely see his arms.
Rek was now performing at an extraordinary level. On one hand, he was fulfilling the mission of the War God System, and on the other hand, he felt a sense of guilt for his previous hesitation.
The head-shaped Alien Species was swiftly cut down by Rek within just a few minutes, creating a small gap in the relentless assault of the Alien Horde for the first time during this prolonged battle.
However, deep within the mine, a large number of Alien Horde appeared again, fearlessly charging towards Rek, rushing into the blade's light like moths to a flame.
Rek was like a meat grinder, continuously operating, with the Ground beneath him stained red with the blood and flesh of the Alien Species.
Maya watched in astonishment as her student Rek displayed his knife skills and strength.
"Every strike is Deadly, showcasing an incredible knife technique.
Although each slash seems casual, it is Vaguely approaching the realm of Blade Barrier," Maya thought in amazement. As a practitioner of swordsmanship, she could recognize the essence of his knife techniques despite their differences.

Fighting Saint Monkey held a large Metal Pipe, protecting Alice and Maya. The Metal Pipe swung down, crushing the few Headless Abominations that had emerged from the stone wall behind Rek.
Although Fighting Saint Monkey's body was very tough and had not yet sustained serious injuries, in this Underground Vein, the monkey could not fully unleash its combat techniques. Moreover, the Headless Abominations could only be killed by shattering them, which had already drained a lot of Victorious Monkey's energy during previous battles.

However, just as Rek finished speaking, a heavy sigh echoed from deep within the cave, from the horizontally extending tunnel. "Sigh!"
The mere sound of that sigh changed the situation for the three of them regarding their chances of survival.
"Chirp!" Fighting Saint Monkey bared its teeth and made a noise, pushing its body back defensively.
Rek, who was swinging his Demon Blade in a frenzied state, also sensed a cold and powerful aura emanating from afar, increasing the resistance against his swings.
Meanwhile, the previously fast-moving Head Abominations began to change after that sigh; their bodies turned dark red, their fur stood on end and lengthened, resembling small hedgehogs with large heads.
