The area of the water pool is not large, but it emits an unpleasant odor that mixes with the bloody scent permeating the entire mine, making it quite suffocating.
Rek had previously faced threats from Elder Starshine and a bunch of Head Abominations, so he didn't pay much attention to it.

"Alright, you're impressive. I'll go collect this black liquid right away," Rek said as he controlled his Mental Energy to activate the Tower of Desire.
Rek entered the Tower of Desire and found the two heavy pots he had used to collect Energy Flower Sea Pool Water earlier.
Both pots showed severe signs of corrosion and could no longer be used for cooking.
However, Rek checked them and found that they were not leaking yet.
Holding the two pots, Rek returned to the Underground Vein.
He carefully scooped up Black Pool Water with the two pots, and after filling them, he went back to the Tower of Desire, pouring the two large pots of black liquid into the Isolation Space that the War God System had temporarily established in a corner.
Once poured out, the black liquid was controlled by the War God System and suspended in the corner Isolation Space of the Tower of Desire, preventing any leakage.
Rek made several trips between the Tower of Desire and the Underground Vein, until he had excavated all the black liquid.
He poured the last half pot of black liquid into the isolation area of the Tower of Desire, casually discarded the two foul-smelling pots into a corner of the Tower of Desire, and returned to the Underground Vein.
“War God System, I've done all this dirty work for you. Once you purify and absorb this black liquid, remember to give me a decent Reward this time,” Rek complained to the War God System in his mind.

Returning to below the entrance of the mine, Rek looked at the unconscious Alice and Maya. Although both were covered in many needle-like hairs, fortunately, their vital areas were unharmed.
The Genetic Mech of both Alice and Maya provided some protection, and their injuries were currently stabilizing.
Having been a battlefield medic in his Previous Life, Rek knew that Alice and Maya would not die in their current state within a short time.
The reason they were unconscious was likely due to toxins from the hair carrying some kind of mental anesthetic. As long as they returned to the Super Soldier Academy Fortress for treatment, there should be no major issues.
Rek looked again at the Fighting Saint Monkey lying unconscious on the ground. The monkey's injuries were much more severe, with hundreds of Steel Needles embedded in its body. Fortunately, the monkey had a thick coat of fur, making it look less terrifying.
"The Fighting Saint Monkey belongs to an ancient class of mysterious creatures, so it shouldn't be that easy to kill. This time, it's just injured and hasn't regained its original strength," Rek thought to himself.
In his Previous Life, Rek had heard of the Fighting Saint Monkey's reputation; it was a top-tier powerhouse. Although in this life the Fighting Saint Monkey had weakened significantly due to appearing early in the world, such minor injuries shouldn't take its life.
Rek looked up at the entrance above him, which was completely blocked by a large drilling machine that had been excavated.
Even if he could climb to the entrance using the Demon Blade, it would be very difficult to move that metal drill head without any leverage.
Rek thought that since he had already contacted the rescue team from the Super Soldier Academy Fortress, it wouldn't be long before they arrived.

After a while, Rek heard the sound of a Hover Tank approaching from above.

The Wrist Communicators of Rek, Maya, and Alice all sounded off.
Maya and Alice were still unconscious and couldn't hear anything.
Rek activated his communicator.
"Great! You're still alive. The rescue team has arrived. Please report your location and the specific situation of the Underground Vein. What types of Alien Species are present in the Underground Vein and how many are there?"
"I am Rek from Super Soldier Academy Special Class Two. All Alien Species in the Underground Vein have been eliminated by our team."
The Alien Species launched a suicide attack just before their demise. My captain, Maya, team member Alice, and her summoned beast, Fighting Saint Monkey, are all severely injured and unconscious, requiring immediate medical attention.
To reiterate, all Alien Species in the Underground Vein have been exterminated, and there is no danger.

A few minutes later, the giant drill machine was restarted and moved aside, and a new Elevator was positioned at the cave entrance.
The rescue team leader brought one of his subordinates and descended via the Elevator.
When the rescue team leader reached the lower part of the mine, he was stunned by the sight before him. The entire Underground Vein was covered in numerous blood-soaked Flesh Chunks of Alien Species extending deep into the cave, with no end in sight. The stench of blood was overwhelming and suffocating.
The entire mine resembled a pool of flesh and blood.
Rek, looking like a Blood Person, sat on the stone ground beside Alice, Maya, and a large monkey who were in critical condition.
Seeing this hellish cave filled with flesh and blood made it hard to imagine the terrifying battle that had taken place here.
"Bravery and fearlessness!" The Rescue Team Leader stood tall and respectfully saluted Rek with a gesture of the Star Alliance.
