"Well, I wish you success in conquering this world soon. Unify this human realm and eradicate the Zombies as quickly as possible, so that order and production can be restored," Rek replied casually.
However, Rek knew that the training space created by the War God System, the Biohazard World, was definitely not as easy to conquer and become a king of a realm as one might imagine.
As time went on, the Zombies would likely grow stronger, especially when the Elder Starshine's forces became more powerful.
The current strength of ordinary Zombies could evolve into what is now considered first or second tier, even reaching the level of Third-Stage Zombies, while Fifth-Stage Zombies would also become stronger. The further they progressed, the harder it would be for Elder Starshine to eliminate them.
Rek estimated that if Elder Starshine could rely on his leadership strategies and the power of developed technological weapons, it would be quite an achievement if he could manage to hold his ground against the Zombie army without being wiped out.
"Haha! Thank you for your kind words," Elder Starshine said with a hearty laugh as his head floated in the air.
Rek pulled Moon Goddess closer and spoke to the War God System in his mind: "War God System, take me and Moon Goddess away from this virtual world of biohazard and back to the normal timeline of Dark Space."
"Teleportation is about to begin," the voice of the War God System echoed in Rek's mind.
Then, a Golden Time-Space Gate appeared before Rek and Moon Goddess, and they stepped inside.
Elder Starshine's floating head saw this strange time-space gate reappear and quickly attempted to cut off his newly grown hair, sending the severed strands flying into the Golden Time Gate.
However, Elder Starshine was disappointed; this time-space gate could only allow Rek and Moon Goddess to pass through. His long hair simply penetrated the Golden Time-Space Gate as if it didn't exist at all.
Elder Starshine's attempt startled Rek as well. Fortunately, the War God System's time-space gate was effective in only allowing designated individuals to leave.
Elder Starshine hovered within his Small Fortress, watching the gradually dissipating Golden Time Gate and the already vanished Moon Goddess and Rek.
He looked towards where Rek had been standing before, then closed his eyes, lost in thought.
After coming out of the Golden Time Gate, the Moon Goddess and Rek returned to the storage room outside the infirmary courtyard.
The Moon Goddess looked around, confirming that they had returned to the real world. She pushed open the storage room door and noticed that it was still light outside.
"Did we only spend a few seconds or minutes there? I really felt like I was in that world for more than three days! This is amazing," the Moon Goddess said.
"Yes, the ratio of space and time is different; time there is one year for every day here. By the way, do you still have the neural frequency synchronization that Starry Elder taught you during the fusion with Genetic Mech in Biohazard World?" Rek asked the Moon Goddess standing beside him.
"Let me check," the Moon Goddess replied, then closed her eyes and stood quietly.
A few minutes later, she opened her eyes again and excitedly told Rek, "I can clearly feel that my body’s Genetic Mech hasn’t undergone its first armor transformation yet, but my synchronization rate with Genetic Mech is very high. I’m ready to try the armor transformation again, just like in Biohazard World, to experience a high level of neural synchronization frequency. Maybe this will allow me to cultivate faster and become stronger."
Rek looked at the Moon Goddess and thought for a moment before saying, "It's rare for someone to have experience with two fusion armor transformations of Genetic Mech. You should proceed with the fusion invocation of Genetic Mech as you did in Biohazard World. However, I don’t have Starry Elder's strength or Mental Energy to help you adjust the synchronization rate of your neurons. I can only assist you by keeping watch."
The Moon Goddess pondered for a moment before stopping her process of fusion invocation with Genetic Mech.
"Wait, I just thought of Acupuncture Technique and some medications. I plan to take these medications and then apply a few acupuncture needles to my acupoints before starting the fusion invocation of Genetic Mech," the Moon Goddess said.
"What! No way.
Taking medicine is fine, but are you sure about acupuncture?
Although your Acupuncture Technique is good, the Genetic Mech is a very peculiar symbiotic organism!
Don't forget when you first came to the academy, in the infirmary you tried to treat those over ten freshmen who were injured by Maya. You ended up giving them acupuncture and made their almost healed wounds into serious injuries, nearly causing them to give up," Rek tried to persuade her.
The Moon Goddess looked at Rek firmly and said, "I must try. This will not only enhance my Genetic Mech's abilities but also improve my medical skills.
This opportunity is rare, and I won't give it up. Besides, I am very confident now.
It's different from when I treated other Genetic Mecha Warriors before; back then, I didn't have a Genetic Mech in my body, and I knew very little about it. I was unfamiliar with the state of existence and the symbiotic form of the Genetic Mech.
Now that I already have a Genetic Mech within me and have experience successfully calling for fusion, I've learned a lot during my time in the Super Soldier Academy infirmary.
This time, I am confident that I can make the fusion call for the Genetic Mech more successful. Perhaps through this acupuncture, I can validate some of my acupuncture theories, and in the future, I will be able to use Golden Needle to treat Genetic Mecha Warriors."
Rek looked at the serious expression on the Moon Goddess's face and knew that once this girl set her mind on something, it would be hard to change her decision.
"Alright, but wait until tomorrow or the day after to experiment with the fusion. There's no rush.
Tonight, prepare your herbs and think carefully about the acupuncture points. Call me when you're ready to experiment tomorrow; I'll help you keep watch," Rek said.
"Don't worry. Well, I'm going to study and prepare the medicine now, so I won't keep you company," the Moon Goddess replied to Rek.
"No need for you to accompany me; I'm just heading back to my dorm to rest," Rek said as he waved goodbye to the Moon Goddess and turned to leave.
Rek walked toward his dorm room and used the Identity Watch to unlock the door, only to find Alice glaring at him with an annoyed expression.
Rek didn't pay much attention to Alice's earlier anger during breakfast at the dining hall. After all, he had been in the Biohazard World for several days, and this small matter felt like it had happened a long time ago.
However, Alice didn't feel that way; she was still sulking in the room, upset that Rek had returned so late.
Alice glanced at Rek's waist and noticed a new belt. Moreover, Rek was holding a dirty protective suit, having not returned it to the academy.
"What were you doing? You didn't even return the protective suit. It's getting late, and if you don't change out of that suit, you'll lose credits! Also, where did you get that new belt? I remember you didn't have one this morning," Alice questioned Rek in rapid succession.
"Oh! I went shopping with Moon Goddess at Pedestrian Street. She gave me this belt. Speaking of the damaged protective suit, I completely forgot to return it. I was a bit busy during the day and just brought it back. I'll return it tomorrow; I should be fine with losing a few credits," Rek replied casually.
"You went shopping with Moon Goddess! No wonder you forgot to return the combat protective suit. Why did she give you a belt out of nowhere?" Alice asked, her tone sounding somewhat strange.
"I gave her a very expensive piece of clothing; I bought it on loan. Luckily, I have enough reputation points at Super Soldier Academy Fortress; otherwise, I really couldn't afford it," Rek explained. After saying this, he noticed Alice's expression turning extremely angry.
"You gave Moon Goddess clothes? I'm in the same dorm as you and have helped you with so many things! You didn't even mention giving me clothes. No way, you have to buy me one too!" Alice shouted at Rek.
Seeing Alice's reaction, Rek wondered whether she was just having a mood swing or if she might actually like him. He hoped it wasn't the latter.
"Let's wait until the day after tomorrow when we go out again; I'll buy you one too," Rek said. After all, he had already taken out several loans and wasn't worried about adding more.
"No, we have to go buy me one today. Didn't you say you still haven't returned the damaged protective suit? Let's first go to the Military Affairs Office warehouse at the Super Soldier Academy Fortress to return the suit, and then we can go to the Fifth District to buy me some clothes," Alice urgently shouted at Rek, pulling him along while holding a few metal spheres.
Rek recognized those spheres; they were bombs that Alice had made before. It seemed she had been busy making bombs again in the dormitory during the day.
"Alright, I'm scared of you! Let's go. I can't even get back to sleep for a bit," Rek sighed, picking up the damaged protective suit he had just put down without even changing his clothes.
Alice changed quickly, putting on a casual jacket, and together they walked out of the dormitory.
After walking for more than ten minutes, Rek and Alice arrived at the military warehouse in the Second Zone.
Rek managed to submit the damaged protective suit before the military personnel changed shifts, swiping his Identity Watch.
The female staff member receiving the suit looked at the combat defense clothing Rek handed over, which was covered in a foul-smelling blood, and then glanced at Rek's level information.
"You are that student hero from the Metal Energy Mine, right? I heard you single-handedly killed thousands of Alien Species. So this is what you really look like. Are you really that strong? What level is your Genetic Mech?" a female soldier responsible for levels asked Rek with great interest.
Just as Rek was about to respond and chat with her, he noticed Alice stepping in front of him, blocking the interested female soldier.
"I was also there discovering the mine and fighting against Alien Species. I'm Rek's classmate from Special Class Two in our freshman year. If you have any questions, add me on Identity Watch. Rek and I have things to do. Here's my Identity Watch code: XXXXXX," Alice said before pulling Rek away from the Military Supply Office.
"How does it feel to be famous? Even the Fortress staff are interested in you. Who knows, if you shout out loud enough tonight, we might have several beautiful girls visiting our dorm for a long chat," Alice remarked.
"Alice, do you want more beautiful girls to come to our dorm tonight? That's not a bad idea!" Rek replied with a smile.
"You're such a big-headed ghost!" Alice said, pinching Rek's waist.
The two chatted and joked casually as they arrived at Pedestrian Street.
"Come on, confess where you bought the clothes for Moon Goddess," Alice asked directly, not bothering to browse her favorite brands, as they stood at the entrance of Pedestrian Street.
Rek, feeling helpless, pointed to the most upscale women's clothing store on the entire street.
"Alright, my roommate Rek is impressive; he buys clothes from the best store. Let's go to that store and pick something out. I want to choose something more expensive than what Moon Goddess got, and you have to buy it for me," Alice said.
"But I don't have enough money," Rek replied.
"You said before that your reputation points at Super Soldier Academy are high enough for a loan. Even if you really don't have enough when it's time to pay, I can lend you some," Alice said, rolling her eyes at Rek.
They walked into the clothing store, where a senior sister who was a fourth-year student and part-time employee was still working. She was planning to treat herself to something nice later to celebrate her good commission this month.
Unexpectedly, after a long period of no customers, the store door welcomed new shoppers again.
"Welcome! What would you like—" The senior sister froze when she saw that it was Rek who entered with a blonde little girl. She forgot her welcoming words entirely; she had thought Rek was a shy and upright boy.
She never expected that just hours after selling clothes to Moon Goddess's girlfriend, he would bring in another girl who was just as stunning as Moon Goddess.
"Sister, did Rek buy clothes for a girl during the day? What did he buy? Pick something suitable for me. I have one request: it has to be more expensive than what that Silver-Haired Girl sold during the day," Moon Goddess spoke up.
Rek stood by awkwardly, too embarrassed to say anything.
The senior sister clerk was momentarily stunned but quickly realized the situation; the golden-haired girl was definitely going to make a purchase.
Knowing that two sets of clothing would be sold today, the excited clerk didn't care about the relationship between the Moon Goddess, Rek, and the golden-haired girl anymore.
As long as they could sell clothes, successfully selling one more set would cover her living expenses for the semester.
"That silver-haired girl bought a set, choosing a sports outfit and shoes, and she also tried on our store's two most expensive sets," the clerk said, starting to introduce those two outfits to Alice, one resembling a doll and the other being quite alluring.
"I'm going to try it on and show you," Alice said as she took the doll-like outfit into the fitting room.
At that moment, the store door opened again, and in walked a female instructor, dressed in a special class teacher uniform.
"Rek, where's Alice? You came with her to buy clothes? I saw your figures from afar and felt like coming over," Master Muya said.
"She went to try on clothes. I was dragged here by her; she said she wanted me to help her pick out an outfit," Rek replied somewhat helplessly.
"This store seems quite expensive. Alice asked you to buy her clothes. Well, you’re from the Super Soldier Academy Fortress; you should have earned quite a few reputation points from completing missions recently. Even if this store is pricey, it should be enough for you to take out a loan for three outfits. Once your mission rewards come in later, you can pay off the loan."
"Oh, this outfit is out! I've been waiting for this set for a long time. Rek, I'm going to try on some clothes too. When Alice comes out, don’t leave without me!" Maya exclaimed as she snatched the alluring black outfit from the clerk's hands and rushed into the fitting room.
