The Senior Female Student looked at Rek with a bit of disbelief.
Rek could tell from Maya's demeanor that things were about to go south; it seemed Maya had also taken a liking to that outfit.
A few minutes later, a golden-haired girl with a doll-like dress, Alice, who appeared full of childlike innocence, came out and blinked her big eyes at Rek.
"How does this outfit look? Does it suit me?" Alice asked.
"This outfit suits you perfectly; we'll take this one. You look great in it," Rek quickly decided for Alice, hoping to avoid a situation where Alice and Maya would start competing for clothes.
"Alright, I'll take this one. But I still want to try on that black outfit with more skin showing. Waitress, what happened to the outfit you had earlier? Did you put it back already? It can't be like this! We can afford it," Alice said to the senior waitress.
The waitress looked at Rek without saying anything, waiting for him to say something to help her out.
The problem was that Rek didn't know what to say either.
At that moment, the door of another fitting room opened again, and Master Muya stepped out in an evening gown. Her noble and aloof aura surprisingly blended together with an allure she usually didn't possess.
Maya's figure was unexpectedly stunning; she usually wore instructor uniforms and combat suits, which concealed her curves.
Now, as Rek looked at Maya's voluptuous figure and alluring face, he was taken aback; he rarely saw Maya dressed like this.
"It seems the effect is quite good; I knew this dress would suit me."
"Alice, Rek, do you think this outfit suits me?" Maya asked Alice and Rek.
"How about this, Master Muya? You wear my doll dress, and I'll wear this seductive evening gown. Let's swap and try them on," Alice suggested.
"No way. At my age, if I go out in a doll-like dress, my colleagues will laugh at me. This outfit is the one. Besides, your doll dress is too small for me," Maya replied.
"Too small? Where is it too small? You were my instructor during class, and I could tolerate you then. But now that it's after class, I won't let you slander me for no reason," Alice retorted.
"So what if the dress is small? Alice, you don't pay attention in class and always cause trouble. Now after class, you dare to question your teacher? Do you even respect me as your instructor?" Master Muya shot back at Alice.
Rek watched the two women getting heated, sensing they might actually fight over the clothes.
"You both look so good in those new outfits. If you're going to fight, at least change into something else first. If you ruin these clothes, you'll have to pay for them; they're very expensive," Rek suggested from the side.
"Rek, check me out," Alice said as she walked over to Rek, stood on her tiptoes, kissed his cheek, and then shot a disdainful glance at Maya.
Rek was taken aback, rubbing the spot on his cheek where Alice had kissed him. He took out his Identity Watch to let Senior Sister apply for another loan.
"Rek, check me out too," Master Muya said, feeling frustrated by Alice's behavior. She walked over to Rek, opened her arms, embraced him, and gave him a passionate kiss.
Rek was momentarily stunned by this unexpected kiss from Maya in this world.
After kissing Rek, Master Muya felt something was off; how did she end up competing with Alice and kissing a student?
Maya's face quickly turned bright red, resembling a ripe apple.
Master Muya, realizing the situation, quickly pushed open the door of the clothing store and ran out.
“She ran away! I won,” Alice said triumphantly.
“Are you going to pay for this mentor? If not, I'm sorry, but I will report this incident to Academy Fortress and let the academy handle the mentor who just walked off with the most expensive outfit from the store,” Senior Sister remarked. Just now, Maya had moved too quickly for her to react and stop her, but she figured that even if she had tried, it wouldn't have worked.

Alice looked at Rek without saying a word.
“Then let’s use my Wrist Communicator to take out a loan! That teacher who ran off is my homeroom teacher, so I’ll pay for her,” Rek said.
The Senior Sister sales clerk glanced at Rek and then at Alice, her expression strange. She quickly took the payment machine, entered the amount, and allowed Rek to swipe his Wrist Communicator to make the payment.
“Today we sold three sets of the most expensive outfits in the store. Oh my, the commission from these sales is more than enough to cover my living expenses for four years. It seems today is my lucky day. Although this Rek is a bit of a flirt, even hitting on teachers and not sparing any lolis, he’s still quite decent since he pays so readily,” Senior Sister thought to herself. With someone willing to pay, she decided not to report Maya for stealing clothes after all.
More than ten minutes later, Alice, dressed in a doll outfit, happily held a shopping bag containing a high-end outfit along with her original clothes.
Alice and Rek exited the clothing store.
“Rek, if you can survive in two months, what would you want to do most? Or is there something you want to do now that you haven’t done yet?” Alice asked as they walked slowly along Pedestrian Street.
“Actually, I’ve thought about escaping. What I really want is to leave Dark Space right now and find a small island near the equator.
On the beach, sitting in a bamboo lounge chair while a beautiful woman in a bikini massages my back and another one peels tropical fruits for me.
But escaping Dark Space and returning to life in the Main World wouldn’t last long; eventually, I would have to face what I need to confront.”
Since I already know the direction of the future and I have the War God System within me, I estimate that avoiding it is useless; it will only make my death come faster.
What I want is to survive, to live better. Even if the Alien Catastrophe breaks out a year later, I want to be alive." Rek said.
"What a ridiculous ideal! The New Year is just around the corner. This is our first New Year in Dark Space since we met. A new year will bring us good luck. I believe you will lift the curse of causality," Alice said to Rek. Alice wanted to say more, but ultimately held back.
"Actually, attending classes at the Super Soldier Academy every day, learning, and having time to stroll around after class, with some friends to talk to by my side, this environment and feeling are quite nice. I don't want to lose it," Rek said softly.
Rek and Alice walked along the Pedestrian Street in Dark Space and saw a small shop selling many strange little items, which had just opened in the evening.
"Look at this shop; they even have special Kongming Lanterns for sale.
I want to buy one that can be released in Dark Space.
On New Year's Eve, you and I can go to the exit of the Super Soldier Academy, stand on top of the Metal Fortress of the Super Soldier Academy Fortress, and release this Kongming Lantern into the sky," Alice said.
"Once we leave the Academy Fortress, we will have to be quarantined for eight hours before we can come back.
If we go through all this just to release a Kongming Lantern, we might end up spending New Year's Eve in the Quarantine Room. Are you okay with that?" Rek replied. He thought Alice would give up her childish idea of buying a Kongming Lantern, but to his surprise, Alice looked at him and then at the Kongming Lantern before nodding.
"It doesn't matter where I spend New Year's; the only difference is who I spend it with. You accompany me to release the Kongming Lantern outside the Fortress, and then we'll be quarantined together.
Spending New Year's in the Quarantine Room sounds pretty good too," Alice said after thinking for a moment.
Rek felt overwhelmed; he didn't expect this ancient being named Alice would have such peculiar thoughts.
In the end, Rek had no choice but to look at Alice's determined expression and still bought a special Kongming Lantern together with her from the small shop.
The Kongming Lantern's outer shell is made of a special synthetic plastic that can withstand some of the turbulent air currents at high altitudes in Dark Space. However, even with the best materials, it is unlikely to fly very far in the harsh environment of Dark Space due to the numerous unstable air currents.
Inside the Kongming Lantern, there is a small detector capable of sensing the number of Alien Species within a certain range and transmitting information back to the Operation Command Center at the Super Soldier Academy Fortress.
This detector was specifically added by the Star Alliance Military to the Kongming Lantern for the entertainment of students at the academy.
After purchasing, students can release this specially designed Kongming Lantern, and the built-in detector can conduct Alien Species detection within a certain range, providing information to the Academy Fortress while also allowing students to have fun—two benefits in one.
In the evening, Alice, dressed in a doll costume, carried a bag containing her previous outfit in one hand and a large box with an unassembled Kongming Lantern in the other. She was smiling as she followed Rek toward their dormitory.
Rek had his hands empty and carried nothing, but he didn’t seem inclined to let Alice carry anything either.
"Alice is not bad in this regard; at least she’s better than Moon Goddess, who doesn’t know how to carry her own things," Rek thought randomly.
"I'm so happy! It's been a long time since anyone gave me a gift," Alice murmured to herself. She glanced at Rek, who looked somewhat dazed, and couldn't help but laugh.
The two quickly returned to their dormitory. Just as Rek was about to lie back on his bed, Alice called out to him.
"Get up! Let's assemble the Kongming Lantern together before we sleep. The New Year is coming soon, and since we have some free time tonight, we can put up curtains first and then go out to release the Kongming Lantern," Alice said as she grabbed Rek's arm, preventing him from lying down.
"Alright!" Rek nodded. He thought about how he would suffer for his own purchase; even if he was exhausted, he would have to endure it.
The two began assembling the Kongming Lantern in their room. After opening the box, they found a detailed instruction manual inside along with some small tools.
However, Alice had more complete tools in her hands and looked down on the simple props that were given to her.
Alice took out a metal toolbox from under her bed and handed Rek some small tools.
"Come on, I'll handle the installation. You take apart the parts and arrange them in order," Alice said to Rek.
Rek was also quite handy; installing this Kongming Lantern was not as dangerous as making a bomb. The two of them each grabbed a small stool and began assembling the Kongming Lantern on the ground in the middle of the room.
"The preliminary installation is complete. Now I need to add some auxiliary features inside.
We are going to make an enhanced version of the Kongming Lantern, one that has fireworks effects and can fly higher and farther than all other Kongming Lanterns.
The principle of making it is similar to that of making a bomb, let me teach you," Alice said to Rek as she pulled out a pile of tools used for making bombs from under her bed.
Rek nodded with a face full of black lines, knowing that persuading Alice at this point was futile.
Reluctantly, Rek joined the process of making the most dangerous Kongming Lantern on campus, carefully fearing that he might make a mistake and blow himself up prematurely.

In the Super Soldier Academy teacher's single dormitory, Master Muya had just finished showering and was wearing the seductive evening gown she had "bought" while looking at herself in the mirror.
Maya smiled at her charming reflection in the mirror.
Every woman loves beauty, even if some do not express it openly. Many women believe they are the most beautiful, especially someone like Maya, who is already quite attractive. Wearing this seductive evening gown made her appear even more mature and full of charm.
Maya twirled around in the evening gown and suddenly recalled how she had kissed Rek in the clothing store that afternoon; her face instantly turned bright red.
Later, Maya picked up her small radio. After calming herself down a bit, she began to play her Savior's Declaration.
During today's speech of the Savior's Declaration, Maya felt particularly good, perhaps due to the confidence she gained from wearing a new evening gown.
Maya surprisingly spoke for over an hour longer than usual before concluding today's address.
"In the final moments of today's broadcast, I want to warn those who are lost.
People live in two ways: one type is numb, merely existing to survive; these individuals have lost the joy and meaning of life.
The other type lives because they have dreams and hopes, for themselves, for their descendants, and for the future of humanity.
With dreams and gratitude in your hearts, no difficulty can defeat you. This concludes today's broadcast." After finishing her last sentence, Maya turned off the radio and placed it back on her bedside to charge.
After changing out of her alluring evening gown, Maya felt particularly good after speaking for several hours. Having been in such a state for so long made her feel invigorated; she almost wanted to undergo Genetic Mecha Armor Transformation right away and fight against the Alien Horde outside the Fortress.
However, thinking about her classes in the morning, she reminded herself that she was still the homeroom teacher of Special Class Two and could not skip class.
Maya had no choice but to take off her evening gown, lie down on her large bed, and force herself to sleep under the covers.
"Tomorrow in class, I absolutely cannot wear this evening gown; let's pretend this never happened. Alice and Rek will forget about it soon enough.
Tomorrow I'll apply for the recent completion bonus for Rek and Alice.
I'll apply for a bit more for Rek as compensation for today." Maya thought to herself.
