Rek helplessly shook his head and after a moment of thought, spoke up, "The more reliable hands we have for tonight's operation, the better. I plan to let Green Garb participate in this mission; she has a very sharp kitchen knife." As he spoke, Rek picked up Green Garb's knife and waved it around.
"Oh!" Green Garb looked at Rek and Centipede-Faced Girl with confusion.
Centipede-Faced Girl stepped forward to examine the knife in Rek's hand. After touching it, she looked again and said, "Not bad, very sharp. Good, with this weapon you qualify. We'll act together tonight."
While waiting for the Mutant Tribe to engage in battle with the base's firepower outside, we would rush towards Father God Demon’s location in the Metal Room.
"I still need to contact other members; I'll see you later when the operation begins," Centipede-Faced Girl said as she walked over to Rek and gave him a hug.
"Be careful and stay safe," Centipede-Faced Girl whispered to Rek before turning to leave the room.
Green Garb looked at Rek with confusion as she sat up on the bed.
"It seems like you’re hiding a lot from me. What other Mutant Tribe? What are you all planning to do tonight?" Green Garb asked Rek with some concern.
"My identity belongs to an Anti-Father God Organization within this base. Tonight, our organization is preparing to assassinate Father God. A large number of Mutants will attack the base outside tonight, and at that time we will work together to kill Father God and regain control of this base for humanity," Rek explained.
Hearing Rek's words, Green Garb was quite shocked. "Isn't Father God's rule good? He established fair laws and treaties for the base and provides us with food and water on time," Green Garb questioned Rek.
"That's just what any ruler should do.
It's a bit complicated to explain, but one thing is certain: our organization will act tonight to kill Father God, and I will be part of this operation.
You now have two choices: one is to pretend you don't know about this matter and let me tie you up in the room tonight to prevent you from leaking information."
"Another option is to go kill Father God with me tonight. Once Father God is dead, you will also become a member of the organization that rules this base," Rek said.
"I told you, after tonight, you will belong to yourself. No matter how dangerous it is, I will be with you.
I will go with you to kill Father God. Since you want to kill Father God and feel he is a threat, I will support you, Rek," Green Garb said firmly, looking at Rek.
"Alright, it might be very dangerous. Don't stray too far from me tonight. You can keep this kitchen knife for yourself," Rek said to Green Garb.
"We Mutant, part of our mutated genes carry special abilities. My Ability is to control plants.
I can't use the metal part of this knife, but the handle wrapped in cloth is made from ancient wood, as my deceased mother told me. As long as there are wooden plants, even ancient wood that has been dead for many years, I can utilize my Ability," Green Garb explained as he unwrapped the cloth from the knife handle.
Rek watched as under Green Garb's control, the knife handle began to separate from the blade. The handle, made of some unknown ancient wood, floated in front of Green Garb, extending and transforming into a living rubber-like stick that coiled around him like a small dragon before shortening again and returning to Green Garb's hand.
"This is just a small part of my ability. Before my mother died, she told me not to reveal my Ability in front of others unless faced with deadly danger," Green Garb said.
"That's an amazing ability. With that power, I won't have to worry too much about your safety during our operation tonight," Rek replied.
"By the way, Rek, what is your ability? If it's convenient, please tell me so I can coordinate with you in battle tonight," Green Garb asked Rek.
After thinking for a moment, Rek activated his Genetic Mech, a biological mech covering his body while he held the Demon Blade in his hand.
A formidable Genetic Mecha Warrior appeared before Green Garb, exuding an intimidating aura.
"Cataclysm, the world's previous Genetic Mech!
Rek asked, "How did you get this Genetic Mech? I've heard that this type of Genetic Mech has strong combat support capabilities and can self-evolve as well as assist the Host in evolving, but the methods to create it have been lost since the Cataclysm five hundred years ago." Green Garb said in surprise.
Rek smiled and released the attachment of the Genetic Mech: "I got it by chance; its combat power is quite decent." Rek replied, avoiding details about how he obtained the Genetic Mech.
"That's great! I didn't expect the person I'm going to merge with to be so strong. It's good to see you have such strength, Rek. However, you need to be careful when you act at night. It's best not to let others discover your Genetic Mech, as they might try to seize it from you. Even I felt a bit greedy when I saw it just now, let alone others."
"By the way, can your Genetic Mech be taken away by someone else?" Green Garb asked Rek.
"The Genetic Mech has already merged with me. I haven't heard of any method to steal a Genetic Mech. This biological armor is now part of my body, just like my arm. Do you think someone could take my arm away?" Rek said.
"That's good. If you encounter danger, use the Genetic Mech. If there isn't much danger at night, it's better not to use it," Green Garb suggested.
Rek thought for a moment and patted Green Garb on the head: "Silly girl, the Biological Light Brain of Father God is not easy to deal with. Even if I enter armor mode and combine it with the previous top Mutant, we might not be able to match up against the Father God Demon. I can't hold back my strength; otherwise, I won't even know how I died." Rek stated, knowing that the War God System wouldn't assign him such an easy task for a mere Reward.
The purpose of the War God System is to make him evolve and grow stronger on the edge of life and death battles.
"Since acting at night is so dangerous, let's not participate. After all, having just the two of us doesn't make much difference; there are over a thousand people involved tonight," Green Garb suggested to Rek.
"Our future depends on our own efforts. If everyone thinks like you, we will never be able to overthrow the cruel rule of Father God," Rek said with a saintly expression.
Green Garb nodded, seemingly understanding.
Rek and Green Garb sat in the room, both by the side of the Metal Bed. Rek took out two bottles of water and handed one to Green Garb.
"One bottle each to replenish some energy. If you want to eat something, go ahead and have more; there's no need to save it.
After tonight, if we succeed, there will be as much water as you want, with no limits.
If we fail, keeping this food and water won't do us any good," Rek said to Green Garb.
Green Garb nodded and took the Water Bottle, drinking deeply. It had been months since she had drunk like this; in just a few seconds, she consumed a week's worth of water.
Rek also drank from his bottle.
Then Rek watched as Green Garb ate some food. He had no interest in the base's food and declined her invitation to share a meal.
The two waited in the room as time passed slowly. Green Garb and Rek chatted casually, with Green Garb sharing small anecdotes from her life since her parents' death over the years.
Suddenly, there was a loud explosion outside, followed by shouts and the sound of gunfire from the base.
Rek and Green Garb also heard the sound of many footsteps running around outside their small house.
"It’s time to act. The personnel of the Rebel Organization have already begun charging towards Father God’s Metal House," Rek said, initiating his Genetic Mecha Armor Transformation.
After transforming, Rek found a large black cloak in the room and draped it over himself. This way, while moving through the base at night, others would not notice his Genetic Mech.
Green Garb held the Wooden Handle and opened the door with Rek.
The two saw that the once quiet base road was now crowded with numerous Mutants wielding various weapons.
These Mutants were rushing towards the central area where Father God was located.
There were also some individuals who seemed unaware of the situation, likely not part of the Rebel Organization. They opened their doors and windows or stood at their doorways, astonished by what was happening.
Suddenly, dozens of Mechanical Moving Gun Turrets flew up from the Ground within the base and began firing at the running Mutant crowd.
Rows of Mutants at the front fell, their bodies pierced and bleeding profusely.
However, these dozens of Machine Gun Turrets were quickly damaged by the colorful energy beams fired from the Mutants, along with some bizarre tentacle-like attacks.
"Go! Take advantage of the fact that Father God’s second batch of defensive weapons hasn’t activated yet. Charge forward!" shouted a Centipede-Faced Girl at the front of the Rebels.
Seeing this Centipede-Faced Girl, Rek transformed his legs into centipede legs, with over a hundred legs moving rapidly as he surged to the forefront of the Rebel Organization, leading the Rebels towards Father God’s central area—the Metal House.
"Let’s go. Be careful," Rek said to Green Garb beside him, then began to move quickly along the road following Green Garb.
Along the way, Father God continuously dispatched mechanical weapons to resist and intercept them; however, most of his defensive weapons had already been directed towards the external Mutant crowd.
Inside the base, the number of weapons available had decreased several times compared to usual in a short period. Father God was unable to reallocate resources in time, and the existing defensive weapons could not stop the advancing crowd of Rebels. One mechanical weapon after another was continuously destroyed by the Rebels.
Rek watched as the Centipede Face and Foot of the Motherfucker charged at the front with such ferocity, feeling a sense of admiration for how this version of Rek had chosen such a lover.
Rek and Green Garb were positioned in the middle of the crowd intentionally controlled by Rek. The Rebels at the forefront were mostly subjected to attacks from Father God's first wave of defensive weapons.
Meanwhile, the Rebels at the back were more vulnerable to strikes from weapons that had been recalled from outside the base by Father God.
The middle area was relatively safer.
The sounds of shouting and killing continued, and chaos reigned within the base. Rek was now unaware of how the battle outside the base was unfolding.
Many small houses along the way were burning or damaged. Even those who were not previously Rebels now saw so many people uniting against Father God. The Mutants within the base had long harbored resentment against Father God's tyranny but had been too intimidated by Father God's Demon and numerous mechanical weapons to express it.
Now, their fellow Rebels had risen in revolt tonight, and many Mutants who were not previously Rebels had picked up their weapons, rushing out of their homes toward Father God's Metal House at the center of the base.
Among the tens of thousands of Mutants in the base, at least over five thousand participated in tonight's rebellion, which excited the Rebels even more, driving them to attack the Metal House with greater ferocity.
Rek had already charged to within five hundred meters of the Metal House, seeing it resemble a small War Fortress. Numerous machine gun emplacements and laser launch pads surrounded the Metal House, continuously firing upon the Mutants approaching from all directions.
Groups of Mutants fell, their blood staining the ground within a hundred meters around the Metal House.
Rek observed that this five-hundred-meter distance resembled a path paved with corpses.
Beside Rek, Green Garb felt nauseated at the sight of blood and flesh flying everywhere.
However, the Mutated Humans are quite powerful, with many Mutants possessing various Abilities.
When facing the slaughter from Father God and Metal House, the Mutants no longer hid and began to attack Metal House.
Under the barrage of energy strikes, more than half of Metal House's firepower had already been damaged.
However, the only entrance in front of Metal House, a biological door resembling a protective shield, had not yet been opened.
A light blue energy shield enveloped the biological door of Metal House, blocking the Rebels' advance.
Rek saw a row of dark mechanical turrets flying in from the outskirts of the base; they were likely mechanical weapons dispatched by Father God from the outer defenses.
Rek knew he could not wait any longer and quickly charged toward the Biological Shielding Door at the forefront of Metal House, wielding his Demon Blade.
This energy-based protective door was difficult to damage before its energy was depleted.
Green Garb noticed that Rek had rushed to the front lines and quickly controlled the wooden stick in his hand. In an instant, the stick split into hundreds of small wooden shields that flew around Rek, helping him block the attacks from Metal House.
With Green Garb's support, Rek felt much more at ease and rapidly approached the Biological Shielding Door of Metal House. While many Mutants struggled to make progress, Rek swung his Demon Blade down upon the Biological Shielding Door.
Rek activated the devouring ability of Genetic Mech, quickly absorbing the limited energy remaining in this biological door through his Demon Blade.
Rek had previously noticed that this Biological Shielding Door had very little energy left and was already incomplete, making it susceptible to energy absorption by Genetic Mech.
