Centipede Girl looked at Rek and asked, "What do you want to say? Your memory issues are likely due to genetic mutations, right? You might have hidden defects in your genes. If they were discovered during Father God's reign, you could have been eliminated."
After hearing this, Rek smiled bitterly and shook his head. "You should know what I want to say, Centipede Girl.
You also know that the instrument checking my genetic integrity has exceeded seventy, which is considered high even in the Mutant Base. How could there be defects? If I have such a high similarity score and still have hidden defects, then most of the Mutants in the base would probably be considered fools.
However, I've recently noticed that my memories are particularly chaotic—so chaotic that I can't even retrieve them myself. I can't remember what happened before.
This only started happening recently.
Centipede Girl, is the child you are carrying really mine? Or have we ever combined? I have my doubts about this."
Upon hearing Rek's words, Green Garb looked at Centipede Girl and Rek with surprise, unsure of what to say.
"Ridiculous! Are you doubting that the child is not yours? Besides you, I haven't combined with anyone else; I can swear to that," Centipede Girl said angrily.
Rek picked up the Demon Blade, pointing its tip at Centipede Girl. "Think carefully. I believe your oath; you haven't combined with anyone else. However, I suspect that you haven't even combined with me.
The memories in my mind of us combining are merely something you forcibly implanted during my previous visits to Father God's Metal House for health checks."
Centipede Girl was stunned by Rek's words. "How is that possible? What purpose would I have? Besides, how could I use Father God Demon's Metal House to implant memories into you?" she questioned coldly.
"That's right. If it were just an ordinary Mutant, like you in this base, then you wouldn't have a purpose or means to implant memories.
But what if we replace you with Father God, the original ruler of this base? Or perhaps you are indeed the true form of Father God. Over these five hundred years, it seems you've discovered that ruling the Human Base under your original oppressive methods simply cannot produce normal humans.
So you've decided to change and adopt a different method of ruling this base."
You are preparing to allow the humans in this base to freely combine, to see if, without oppression, the mutants in this base can give birth to normal humans. During this process, some newborns with high defects or poor human genes will likely be eliminated by you through other means.
However, you are still afraid of losing your ruling power, so you sought me out to create the illusion of your pregnancy.
Our future child will likely be another life that you have cloned. When your body ages, he will be implanted with a biological brain once again.
You will use the child's body to continue ruling this base, and then you will perpetuate your rule, continuing to attempt to create perfect normal humans.
I am not wrong, am I, Centipede Girl, or rather, the biological brain of Father God?” Rek spoke up.
The mutated woman in Green Garb listened in surprise to Rek's words. She cautiously took out a Wooden Handle and assumed a defensive stance.
After a few moments of silence, Centipede Girl stared at Rek and said, “Very well, but how did you find out?
I am indeed another form of Father God; this body was created to store my true biological brain. After the Cataclysm, normal humans have gone extinct. Look around; this base and even this planet are filled with monsters. I am trying to restore human genes and save humanity.”
Centipede Girl looked at Rek, waiting for his response.
“The reason you were exposed is because—” Before Rek could finish, he grabbed the Demon Blade and swiftly aimed for Centipede Girl's head.
Due to Rek's sudden attack, although Centipede Girl was somewhat prepared and sidestepped to resist, her right arm was still struck by Rek's blade. Blood flowed from the wound on her right arm, but Centipede Girl showed no sign of pain.
Furious, Centipede Girl summoned hundreds of centipede legs beneath her feet. Her body elevated as numerous centipede legs extended on their own and struck towards Rek.
“Green Garb, aim for her head!” Rek struggled against the centipede legs. Although the Demon Blade was sharp enough to sever these legs, there were simply too many of them, and they regenerated at an astonishing rate.
Hearing Rek's shout, Green Garb threw the Wooden Handle in her hand. The handle transformed into a Green Dragon that spiraled high before lunging at Centipede Girl's head.
“Ah!” Centipede Girl exclaimed in surprise as she looked at Green Garb. She had not expected this female mutant to possess such strength; last night’s wooden shield she used to protect Rek was not her full power after all.
Centipede Girl quickly used the remaining centipede legs to fend off the attack from Green Dragon.
In an instant, dozens of centipede legs and the wooden Green Dragon trembled.
As Centipede Girl fought, she realized that this Green Dragon had strong attack power and exceptional agility, rivaling her centipede legs.
Centipede Girl intended to take down Green Garb first, but Rek, wielding the Demon Blade, stood in front of Green Garb, leaving her no chance for a sneak attack.
"Coordinate with my attack," Rek said as he swung the Demon Blade and charged towards Centipede Girl.
Centipede Girl began to struggle against both Rek and Green Garb. While she could avoid being killed, eliminating both of them in a short time proved to be quite difficult.
"Rek, Green Garb, have you forgotten? This battlefield is originally my base center.
The battle last night did not destroy all the hidden Laser Emitter Ports and Machine Gun Turrets here. Although redeploying them might raise suspicion, as long as I kill you, no one will investigate me," Centipede Girl said with a cold smile in the air. As her words ended, dozens of Laser Emitter Ports and Machine Guns emerged from the surrounding metal walls, pointing at Rek and Green Garb.
Just as Centipede Girl was preparing to deal with Rek and Green Garb, suddenly, another Rek appeared behind her. This Rek, a Genetic Mech, wielded a Bone Blade, which he swung directly at Centipede Girl's neck.
This Rek blended into the surroundings until the blade struck Centipede Girl's neck, at which point she noticed it, but it was too late.
The Bone Blade swiftly severed Centipede Girl's neck, and this Rek followed up with several strikes that shattered her brain.
With the death of Centipede Girl, the Laser Emitter Ports and Machine Guns in the hall retracted back into hiding.
"Clone, I summoned you from the Biohazard World to deal with someone I couldn't handle this time. I didn't expect that after copying scriptures so much, your body would blend into the surroundings, making you more suited for assassination," Rek said to his clone. Previously, while fighting with Centipede Girl, he had contacted the War God System, asking it to bring back his clone.
Fortunately, the War God System informed Rek that he could summon his clone at any time.
"Nothing much. As long as my main body survives, I can live on. Quickly send me back to the Biohazard World. That world needs me to fight against the Zombie legion; without me, it seems that Starry Glory will run into trouble," the clone replied to Rek.
"Alright," Rek said, and then reopened the time portal, allowing the War God System to send his clone back. It seemed that the clone still enjoyed the mission of saving humanity in the Biohazard Virtual World.
Rek's mind was already ringing with the completion sound from the War God System: "Congratulations, Host, for completing Chapter Two of the Earth Destruction Catastrophe and the obsession mission of the Light Brain Robot. You have completed the mission ahead of schedule, achieving a Comprehensive Evaluation of A+. Host can choose to remain in this mission world for 22 days before leaving or can opt to leave immediately.
The mission Reward will be issued once Host leaves this Parallel Space world and returns to Host's original world."
Rek glanced at the astonished Green Garb girl beside him and said, "I choose to leave after 22 days."
Rek was uneasy about leaving Green Garb alone at this moment. The War God System had mentioned before, and previous mission worlds had confirmed that this Parallel Space world was the world of the Cataclysm that occurred ten thousand years ago in Dark Space, where the people were real.
Rek thought that if he left, Green Garb would likely die innocently.
Moreover, Rek planned to experiment by preparing some things in this world to see if he could utilize them when he returned to his original world.
"Rek, how did another you appear earlier? We killed Father God; this time Father God is really dead, right? But Centipede Girl has already been recognized as the Overall Commander of this base by outsiders. If we kill her, those people outside won't let us go," Green Garb said with some concern.
"As long as we demonstrate enough strength, no one will dare to act against us. Green Garb, your Ability is quite remarkable; in fact, it's very exceptional. You could take on Centipede Girl by yourself and those Mutants from earlier in this palace.
However, you lack combat experience and tend to be too merciful," Rek replied.
"Can I really? Am I that powerful? Those Mutants outside won't come after us?" Green Garb asked skeptically.
"Don't worry. From my perspective, you are incredibly strong and still have room for improvement. Controlling just one wooden handle is not your limit. I noticed during our earlier battle that you could easily control this Wooden Handle for combat; you should be able to control two or three types of wooden weapons or even more," Rek explained.
"But I need ancient wood or certain plants to control them. After the Cataclysm, the ancient wood and plants left in this base have become quite scarce; there are probably only a few left in total," Green Garb said softly.
"It's alright; you will be the Overall Commander of this base from now on. You are the king of this base. I have recorded my conversation with Centipede Girl just now; I possess a recording device," Rek stated.
"Rek, I have another question: how did you find out that Centipede Girl is Father God's? She deceived others; why didn't she deceive you?" Green Garb asked.
"Do you remember the situation last night when we watched Green Garb command the personnel at this base to fight against the Mutant Species? Centipede Girl displayed such high command skills for someone of her age. A girl without any command experience, no matter how talented, wouldn't perform as excellently as she did during her first combat command.
Moreover, inside this Metal House last night, Centipede Girl's centipede legs instantly shattered the protective shield made of Synthetic Glass that contained Father God's brain. I had previously measured the strength of that shield; even with my Demon Blade, it would take a considerable amount of time to damage it with full force. It was impossible to break through the Synthetic Glass as easily as Centipede Girl did.
Furthermore, the power and destructive capability of Centipede Girl's centipede legs were still inferior to my Demon Blade in a single strike," Rek explained to Green Garb.
"Afterward, I called all the new officials of this base over and showed them my recordings. No one will make things difficult for us.
Then I nominated you as the Overall Commander of this base; just follow my arrangements later," Rek said.
Rek stepped out of the grand hall and called for the maid who had brought her there earlier.
Rek instructed the maid that the new king of this base wanted all newly appointed officials to return to this Metal Base within an hour.
The Mutated Handmaiden, looking at Rek, assumed that the new king she mentioned was actually Centipede Girl. She figured that Rek wouldn't dare impersonate a king to convey orders.
The Mutated Handmaiden hurried off to summon those new officials who had just left.
Returning to the Metal House, Rek comforted Green Garb and chatted with her.
An hour later, Rek opened the large door of the Metal House, allowing the newly arrived officials, who were whispering outside, to enter.
Most of these officials appeared confused. Upon entering the Metal House, they were hit by a strong smell of blood and flesh.
They saw in the center of the Metal House, the headless corpse of Centipede Girl, surrounded by a pile of crushed skulls and brain matter.
The Mutant Officials drew their weapons, on guard against Green Garb and Rek, surrounding both of them.
"You killed the Centipede Queen. You have murdered the new ruler. What punishment do you deserve?" an older Mutant questioned Rek and Green Garb.
Rek calmly raised his right hand with the Wrist Communicator and played the recording of his previous conversation with Centipede Girl.
"Take a good look; this is the true identity of the new king you chose," Rek said with a sneer.
The new officials nearby watched the virtual scene projected by Rek. It began with a dialogue between Centipede Girl and Rek, which soon escalated into a fight. To their astonishment, Centipede Girl admitted that she was the original Father God within the base.
Upon hearing Centipede Girl's admission, many of the new officials were taken aback.
The video continued until it showed Centipede Girl activating a hidden weapon within the base that had not yet been damaged, at which point it stopped.
The officials fell silent.
"The outcome was that my companion, Green Garb, unleashed her ultimate move and instantly killed Centipede Girl, thereby eliminating the new body of Father God.
That is how we survived. If you don't believe me, you can check the hidden weapons in this Metal House; they are identical to those in the video, even in their exact locations," Rek stated.
Several Mutants turned around and inspected the Metal House, prying open the walls with their weapons.
What they found matched exactly what was recorded in the video: many Laser Emitters and Machine Guns were located precisely where they appeared in the footage, and their sizes and shapes were completely identical.
