The head of Elder Starshine floated in front of Rek and the Moon Goddess, emitting some energy as it sensed the surrounding environment. After more than ten seconds, the head of Elder Starshine actually shed tears.
"I really, I really have returned to the original time and space of the Star Alliance Military. Rek, no, Master Rek, now that you have successfully healed me, you will be my eternal master. I will obey any command you give me, even if it means my death," the head of Elder Starshine said to Rek with a trembling yet determined voice.
Rek heard the prompt from the War God System in his mind again, "Ding dong, Host Servant Elder Starshine's head loyalty has increased to ninety-four."
"I will fulfill what I have promised. Don't worry, Starry Glory. After this operation, no one will be able to discover that you are an Alien Species. From today onward, you will regain your human identity. After this surgery, I will also give you a great gift, a surprise—an identity that you will wish to have," Rek said meaningfully as he looked at the head of Elder Starshine.
Rek checked the War God System and realized that he was in a future world; his body was from the original time and space he belonged to. Moreover, the Biohazard World was connected to his original world and was not entirely part of Rek's future time.
It could be said that the head of Elder Starshine was indeed the same head from his previous time in the Biohazard World and had nothing to do with Rek ten years into the future.
The Moon Goddess began to take the head of Elder Starshine into the laboratory for surgery. Six hours later, she emerged looking very pleased.
"Everything went smoothly, even better than expected. The head of Elder Starshine has completely restored its original appearance. I also created a new body based on his original form and combined it with his own suggestions. This Elder Starshine has regained human form; outsiders won't be able to tell any difference. He is still asleep; I estimate that in another hour or two, once the effects of the medication wear off, he will wake up," the Moon Goddess told Rek.
Rek entered the laboratory and saw an old man's body floating naked in a glass jar—it was Elder Starshine's form.
This Elder Starshine resembled exactly what Rek remembered from his mission in the War God System.
"You did well, Moon Goddess. Please open this container for me. It's not yet time for Elder Starshine to reveal himself; I will let him out when there is an opportunity," Rek said.
Upon hearing Rek's words, the Moon Goddess did not ask further questions and directly adjusted the instruments to release an energy liquid that opened the container, allowing Elder Starshine's body to sit inside.
Rek contacted his avatar and instructed it to send Elder Starshine back into the Biohazard World.
Rek opened a time portal and placed Elder Starshine's body inside.
Then, together with the Moon Goddess, they thoroughly cleared all traces from the laboratory so that outsiders would not suspect what experiments they had conducted.
In the following days, Rek led a hundred-man troop, enjoying food and drinks along the way, to attend the grand ceremony of the Star Alliance Military.
This time, Rek had his subordinates strengthen their defenses, and there were no ambushes along the way. Both Rek and Moon Goddess remained with the troop, protected throughout.
At the Star Alliance ceremony, their hundred-man troop marched in formation, striding confidently past the military ceremony's viewing platform.
Rek noticed that his soldiers and generals were all smiling; after all, their relatives and parents could see them participating in the Star Alliance Military ceremony on media, which was a particularly honorable event.
During the ceremony, high-ranking officials from the Main Plane of Earth recognized Rek and others for their contributions in fighting alongside Dark Space Warriors against Alien Species.
The soldiers and generals under Rek listened excitedly, grateful for the opportunity he had given them.
In the following two days after the military ceremony concluded, Rek observed that nine days had passed since they arrived in this world, leaving only one day remaining. He did not allow his hundred subordinates to leave early but instead gathered them to stay close for one more day. After today’s events concluded, he planned to return to his original timeline and then send these individuals back home for a break.
The hundred soldiers and generals accompanied Rek without any complaints for an extra day. To them, staying an additional day or two was not a big deal, even though many of them were eager to return home soon.
Rek understood that in this future world ten years ahead, once his hundred soldiers left, there would likely be attempts on his life. Of course, even if he died, it wouldn’t be dangerous; he would be reborn in the past. However, Rek wanted to avoid experiencing death if possible.
On the tenth day, Rek called for Moon Goddess and arranged for several soldiers who would not be going home to escort her back to Ancient Capital.
“Moon Goddess, you should return to Ancient Capital first. I still have some matters to handle. I will come find you later,” Rek said to her. He had previously seen Moon Goddess crawling with half her body for months while carrying his head; it deeply moved him. He did not want her to suffer any injuries after he left.
Moon Goddess did not sense anything unusual and nodded in agreement with Rek before happily boarding the Maglev Train back to Ancient Capital.
Rek stayed in his room as the ten-day mission to rescue his future Reward concluded. A Golden Time Gate opened, and Rek's body was directly sucked into it.
Upon returning to Dark Space Super Soldier Academy, Rek immediately surveyed Biohazard World. Fortunately, Elder Starshine's head had transformed into a normal human appearance and resembled how he looked after surgery with future Moon Goddess.
Confirming that the successful results of the surgery on Starry Head were preserved for the future eased Rek's mind as he headed to the infirmary to find Moon Goddess again.
Rek and Moon Goddess were in a sealed hospital room, where Rek once again brought Elder Starshine's body out from Biohazard World.
Elder Starshine had not yet awakened and had been unconscious in Biohazard World until now.
After coming out, Elder Starshine looked around and then at her own body, confused, she asked Rek, "Master Rek, my body has recovered, but why has the environment changed? This is a toxic and hazardous space world. Although this is a Star Alliance military Mobile Fortress, how is it different from the Main Plane of Earth where I was before?"
Moon Goddess also curiously looked at Elder Starshine. In Moon Goddess's memory, she had not performed any surgery on Elder Starshine in this world. Previously, Rek had mentioned that in Biohazard World, only memories would remain without any physical changes. How could it be that Elder Starshine's head now appeared as a normal human, and it seemed that the person who performed the surgery on her was even more skilled than herself; the surgery could be described as perfectly flawless.
Unable to resist, Moon Goddess stepped forward to examine Elder Starshine's body.
Rek smiled and said, "Elder Starshine's body is from my world ten years in the future. Moon Goddess, you performed the surgery on her, so you have no memory of it now.
Starry Glory, what you mentioned about Star Alliance and Main World Earth does exist; however, it is connected to my current Dark Space. As long as you take a Metal Circular Rail Train, you can return to the Main Plane of Earth—the familiar world of the Star Alliance Military."
Upon hearing Rek's explanation, Moon Goddess nodded in surprise. It turned out that it was her future self who treated Elder Starshine, which left her momentarily astonished.
After hearing Rek's words, Elder Starshine spoke up to ask Rek.
"What about me now? Can I survive in this world? I want to go back to Earth Prime World; I don't want to stay in this space," Elder Starshine tried to ask Rek.
Hearing Elder Starshine's words, Rek smiled: "Starry Glory, letting you out this time is to prepare for your return to Earth Prime World. With your abilities and mental control skills, you should be able to leave my Super Soldier Academy Fortress without being detected and head to Sanctuary Base to take the Space Train back to Main Plane of Earth.
I will give you an Electronic Map shortly; just follow the map to find Sanctuary Base—a large fortress established by the Star Alliance in this space. There you will find a Space Train that can traverse space back to Main Plane of Earth.
However, do not take any actions that would harm the personnel at Sanctuary Base; the commander there is General Muku Tenmu, whom you should know from your original world. He has some connections with me."
Upon hearing Rek's words, Elder Starshine nodded: "I am skilled in mental control and soul energy. If I don't want to be exposed, I can temporarily hypnotize some people without them noticing me. So you're saying I can return to Main World Earth? After that, what do you want me to do for you?" Elder Starshine asked Rek.
"Moon Goddess, please step out for a moment. I need to have a private conversation with Elder Starshine," Rek said to Moon Goddess beside him.
"Hmph, what's so mysterious? I know all about your affairs!" the Moon Goddess complained as she left the room.
Only Elder Starshine and Rek remained in the room.
"Starry Glory, when you return to the Main World, you'll probably find that this world is very similar to your original one. However, there is also a Starry Glory here, a Genetic Mecha Warrior, or rather, you from our world. He is also the highest commander of the Star Alliance Military.
You have two choices now. One is to return to the Main World, disguise yourself, and live a mundane life, enjoying life on Earth.
The other choice is a bit cruel but will allow you to regain power and prestige: kill the Starry Commandant of our world and take his place.
After all, you were originally one of the Supreme Commanders of the Star Alliance Military, so replacing this world's version of you in power will likely go unnoticed," Rek said.
"What? Kill myself to regain power? Ah! Let me think!" Elder Starshine pondered; Rek's suggestion was truly unexpected and surprising.
After thinking for about ten minutes, Elder Starshine raised his fist. "I've made up my mind. Since I'm back, having two identical people in one world is too dangerous. To be honest, I also want that feeling of power and status. I will go back and kill myself to become one of the Overall Commanders of the Star Alliance Military again," Elder Starshine said firmly.
"That's the best decision you could make. It won't be in vain for my investment in you, Starry Glory. Once you regain your position as one of the Overall Commanders of the Star Alliance Military, I might need your help in the future," Rek said.
"Don't worry. I promised you before that even if I become one of the Overall Commanders again, Rek, you will still be my master. I won't forget your help; without you, I would still be in that pit as an Alien Species. Even if you ask me to sacrifice myself in the future, I won't hesitate to carry out your orders," Elder Starshine assured Rek.
Upon hearing this, Rek received a notification from the War God System: "Ding dong, congratulations Host for completing the assurance to Servant Starry Glory. Servant Starry Glory's loyalty has increased to 99 points, reaching the level of unwavering loyalty. Unless special circumstances arise, this level is difficult to lower."
Hearing this from the War God System made Rek feel even more at ease.
