Jiang Chen looked up at the enormous net in the sky and chuckled softly, "If this is all you've got, you won't be able to kill me."
"Hmph, even facing death, you're still so arrogant," Yan Xiaotian scoffed, extending his hand to summon the giant net down upon him.
Jiang Chen smiled faintly, releasing his Spiritual Energy to form a green barrier that enveloped the boat. From a distance, it appeared as if a green bubble had encased the vessel.
The net descended and landed on the green barrier. Yan Xiaotian manipulated the net with his Inner Energy, but no matter how he stirred it, he could not break through the Azure Barrier.
Suddenly, flames flickered on the Azure Barrier, glowing ominously as if they could incinerate the heavens. In an instant, the giant net was reduced to nothingness.
Yan Xiaotian was truly dumbfounded now.
"Are you from a Daoist Techniques sect?" Yan Xiaotian asked.
There was a significant difference between martial arts and Daoist Techniques. Jiang Chen's move was clearly not something a Martial Artist would employ.
"You don't need to ask because you're about to die," Jiang Chen replied calmly.
Yan Xiaotian's expression grew serious, more serious than ever before. He had encountered cultivators before; even those skilled in Zhenren Dao Fa were no match for him. However, Jiang Chen's strength seemed to far exceed that of Zhenren Dao Fa.
"Even if you are a Daoist Practitioner, so what? If you want to kill me, it won't be as easy as you think," Yan Xiaotian said coldly.
"Oh really? If you have any tricks left, now is the time to use them. If I make my move, you'll surely die in one strike," Jiang Chen said with a light laugh, his demeanor playful.
The crowd stared in disbelief; it was simply inconceivable that such a young man could effortlessly neutralize Yan Xiaotian's lethal attack.
No one dared to underestimate Jiang Chen anymore; even Hu Sanxiong and Mary wore increasingly grave expressions. Jiang Chen's strength appeared to be even greater than they had imagined. Whether Yan Xiaotian could defeat him was now uncertain.

"I hope you give it your all; you'll only have one chance," Jiang Chen replied nonchalantly.
"Since you're so arrogant, don't blame me for using my advantage as an elder. Today, I'll let you witness what true martial prowess looks like," Yan Xiaotian said in a low voice, his anger igniting. He had traversed the martial world for decades without ever being so insulted; a young man behaving so recklessly in front of everyone made Yan Xiaotian determined to eliminate this humiliation today. If he failed to do so, his reputation would be shattered and he might even become a laughingstock in Huaxia Martial Arts.
Though anger boiled within him, Yan Xiaotian did not dare to underestimate Jiang Chen. A Daoist Practitioner was always unpredictable and could utilize magical tools, talismans, and formations for attacks. He feared that Jiang Chen might have already set up some overwhelming formation here.

With his fingers clawed like talons, Yan Xiaotian grasped at the water's surface. A column of water was lifted directly by him, soaring into the air. Under his control, it danced like a dragon in flight. Yan Xiaotian infused his energy into the Water Dragon, which radiated a white halo as if cloaked in holy light, rapidly flying toward Jiang Chen. The swift movement created a massive gap in the water's surface.
Standing on the deck of the boat, Jiang Chen leaned against the railing with a calm expression on his youthful face. Everyone watched with wide eyes as the Water Dragon approached him closer and closer. Yet, Jiang Chen remained motionless; even Peng Tianqi felt his heart leap to his throat.
Suddenly, Jiang Chen moved. He slowly extended his hand and, as the Water Dragon reached him, he touched its head with his fingertip. In that instant, the unstoppable Water Dragon came to a halt. Then there was a sound of splashing as it disintegrated into a puddle on the river's surface.
Yan Xiaotian's eyes nearly popped out; this move, Gathering Water to Transform into Azure Dragon, was one of his signature techniques. He never expected it to be so easily defeated before Jiang Chen. With just a single finger, Jiang Chen had neutralized his lethal move. Shocked and incredulous, Yan Xiaotian could hardly believe it.
"How is this possible? How did you do that? My move, Gathering Water to Transform into Azure Dragon, contains boundless Inner Energy. I absolutely cannot believe you could break it with just one finger," Yan Xiaotian asked incredulously.
Jiang Chen smiled lightly without answering. Instead, he gestured at the water's surface, causing a silver column of water to surge forth. In mid-air, it transformed into the shape of a giant dragon; the scales made of water shimmered under the sunlight like silver armor.
"Gathering Water to Transform into Azure Dragon, nice name indeed. But unfortunately, what you gathered was not an Azure Dragon; it doesn't even qualify as an Azure Serpent. It’s only natural that I could break it with one finger. Now watch my version of Gathering Water to Transform into Azure Dragon," Jiang Chen said with a smile.
Yan Xiaotian looked horrified as he watched the Water Dragon formed by Jiang Chen. He felt ashamed; compared to this magnificent creature, his earlier attempt was nothing but an inferior imitation.
Just as he was stunned, Jiang Chen pressed down into thin air. The head of the Water Dragon lowered itself before him. Jiang Chen stepped onto its head proudly while it soared into the sky, carrying him toward Yan Xiaotian.
Seeing this, Yan Xiaotian had no time for astonishment; he quickly retreated several hundred meters across the water's surface. Once he created some distance between them, he looked at Jiang Chen and spoke again: "Who exactly are you? I refuse to believe that someone so young possesses such cultivation!"
"You are already a dead man; why bother knowing so much?" Jiang Chen chuckled lightly as he regarded Yan Xiaotian, as if looking at an insignificant insect. Throughout their encounter, he showed no change in emotion towards him.
