"Director, I went back and carefully reviewed the script. I think we can still enhance today's scene." After finishing the morning shoot, Augus sent Hiya to take Xinran out for lunch. Once the group left the set, he took the script and approached Chen Jianliang to discuss the storyline.
"Augus, I fully trust your ability to portray the character. How do you think we should enhance it?" This was Chen Jianliang's first collaboration with Augus. Previously, he could only admire from afar, but he didn't expect that their initial collaboration would leave such a great impression on him. Augus was not only humble and down-to-earth but also approachable, far surpassing many of the people he had worked with before, even though those individuals had more fame.
"For the part where the two characters express their feelings, wouldn't just a kiss be a bit lackluster? How about adding a bed scene? It would attract more viewers and create more buzz when it airs, right?"
"A bed scene?" Chen Jianliang looked up in surprise. Upon seeing Augus's slightly raised eyebrows, he quickly understood his meaning and nodded eagerly. "Yes, yes, adding a bed scene would definitely make it more appealing... But you rarely film such scenes; will you be comfortable with it?"
"Director, don't worry. I'll handle it well; after all, opportunities like this are rare!" A sly smile appeared on Augus's lips as he looked at Chen Jianliang.
"Will Xinran have any objections? After all..." Chen Jianliang knew that Augus's sudden suggestion to turn the kissing scene into a bed scene was for Summer's benefit since they were in a relationship. However, he then thought about the investor who had taken Summer away during the audition; what was her relationship with him? He easily agreed to Augus's request for a bed scene but wondered if it might upset the investor and lead to trouble for him.
"Director, you can rest assured! Summer is a professional actress; she won't let something as trivial as a bed scene delay filming!"
"With you saying that, I can certainly relax. Then tomorrow's scenes will be up to you two to work out..." Chen Jianliang said awkwardly with a smile. Since they had already assured him there were no issues, he felt there was no need to say more.
"Director, was there any problem with this morning's scenes?" At that moment, Xinran and Wu Jie returned to the set after having lunch with Hoshia.
"No, how could there be a problem? If I had known you were so suitable for the role of the female lead, I would have cast you from the start! Oh, by the way, Xinran, Augus just told me he wants to enhance tomorrow's scenes; you two can discuss the specifics!" With that, Chen Jianliang hurriedly turned and left to avoid further questions from Xinran.
"Here’s sushi from the Iida Family; I heard from Hiya that you only love this place." Seeing Chen Dao leave quickly, Xinran shook her head in confusion. She had intended to discuss this morning's scenes with him! Although they usually wrapped each scene in just two takes, this was her first time as the female lead, and she hoped to make it as perfect as possible.
"Xinran, you're so considerate; I'm afraid I might really fall for you. What should I do?" Augus smiled as he took the sushi and whispered flirtatiously in Xinran's ear.
"You stop it. We're just going to Jing Tian for lunch. I brought this for you out of kindness, fearing you might starve later. If you don't eat it, I can have it for afternoon tea!" Xinran suddenly turned her face, almost pressing it against Augus's. To an outsider, their interaction definitely looked like a couple in love.
"How heartless! Isn't it your duty as my girlfriend to make me happy?"
"Wherever you go, you're treated like royalty. There are so many people who pamper you; I'm not the only one!" Stepping away from Augus, Xinran casually asked, "What did the director mean when he said there would be more to perform in tomorrow's scene?"
"Are you pretending not to know? More performance means adding bed scenes," Augus replied with a playful smile as he turned and sat down on the chair prepared by his assistant for a break.
"What? Bed scenes?"
