"Young Master Si, get in the car!" At that moment, Duan Ruyin arrived in a flash to retrieve the car, using the vehicle to shield Young Master Si. Through the car window, he saw Summer, supported by Young Master Si, her chest bleeding profusely, fearing she might stop breathing at any moment.

"Drive, hurry to the hospital!" he shouted at Duan Ruyin, then adjusted Xinran's position on his lap to make her more comfortable, even though he knew she had already lost consciousness at this moment. "Summer, I won't let anything happen to you. You can't die, especially not for me!"
Hearing Young Master Si's command, Duan Ruyin immediately slammed on the steering wheel, and the car sped away like an arrow released from a bow, leaving a trail of exhaust on the chaotic streets.
"Young Master Si, I need to perform surgery on this young lady immediately to remove the bullet!" Fukuhara Tei said as he took off his stethoscope and addressed Mu Shaosi standing at the foot of the bed. He was the chief physician at Enze General Hospital.
Enze General Hospital is a private facility, with its largest shareholder being Mu Shaosi's grandfather, Takahashi Ryu. As someone involved in the Underworld, anyone injured cannot go to a regular hospital for treatment because visiting there would mean stepping into a police station. Therefore, Enze General Hospital is considered part of Cherry Blossom Hall's assets.
"Yes, Fukuhara, I trust you. You must save her. I have only one request: no matter what it takes, I don't want her to be in danger!" Mu Shaosi said while looking at Xinran on the bed who was already wearing a respirator. His gaze was deep and gentle as the doctor administered a hemostatic injection; her chest wound had begun to clot, but that bullet was so close to her heart that it made his own heart ache fiercely for her!
"Young Master Si, I will do my utmost; however, I must inform you before the surgery that due to the bullet's proximity to her heart, there is a high likelihood of severe bleeding during the operation. We must prepare for the worst..."

Duan Ruyin looked at him; for the first time, he saw Young Master Si—who was usually so cold—showing genuine emotion because of Summer. He almost shed tears like a man. This real side of Young Master Si made him feel happy as a brother!
He finally understood what was special about the woman named Summer. Because of her, Young Master Si had developed a sense of blood and vitality, making him seem more like a living person compared to his previously indifferent demeanor. Therefore, Summer could not die, and she would not die; he believed that!
A few minutes later, Xinran was pushed into the operating room, and the red light outside the door lit up, signaling that the surgery had begun...
Mu Shaosi sat on a bench outside the operating room, his eyes fixed on the closed door. His Summer would be fine. When she woke up, he would marry her and make her truly his Mu Shaosi's person, his wife. Perhaps before this moment, he couldn't be sure how deep his feelings for her were.
