“Young Master Si, should I go persuade Future Lady and let her know that you truly care for her? Maybe she won’t resist you so stubbornly anymore!” Mukai Hisashi frowned slightly and spoke to Mu Shaosi.
“No need.” Mu Shaosi spoke as if it were unrelated to him, his expression calm, making it hard to discern what he was thinking.
“Mr. Mukai, you haven’t figured out your own love life yet, and you’re meddling in Young Master Si’s affairs? Aren’t you tired? Let me tell you, hurry up and find my Xiaoxuan. If anything happens to her, I won’t let you off easily!” Shinohara Ryo glared at Mukai Hisashi. This detestable man was oblivious to how much Xiaoxuan loved him. Now this man had the audacity to come looking for her, asking if she had hidden away Xiaoxuan. “I won’t let Xiaoxuan leave just like that!”
“Better not,” Shinohara Ryo snorted coldly. “By the way, Mr. Mukai, once you find Xiaoxuan, remember to let me know. I have several outstanding men with clean backgrounds who are infatuated with her! They’ve expressed that if Xiaoxuan accepts them, they will give her a grand wedding, unlike some people who treat good women as mistresses and don’t know how to cherish them!”
“Shinohara Ryo, the men you have are all male escorts. What’s this? Are they willing to settle down and stop making money off women?” Duan Ruyin teased as she looked at Shinohara Ryo.
"Young Master Si, let Shinohara talk to Future Lady. Women tend to communicate better with each other!" Shirakawa Fuji had remained silent, as if she were outside the situation.
"Alright, I'll go. After all, I used to live with Xinran. If it doesn't work out, I can take her to my Onsen Ryokan to relax. She has always loved the scenery there," Shinohara Ryo replied, giving Duan Ruyin a glance.
"Wang, you should accompany Xinran to buy some clothes. She doesn't seem to like wearing kimono. If she wants to eat something, make sure to go with her; I don't want her to lose any more weight!" Mu Shaosi said as he stood up and walked back to his room.
He felt utterly powerless against this woman. Her silence and minimal eating were forcing him to compromise. Her stubbornness was awakening feelings of concern in him that he had never experienced before. He needed to find a way to make her abandon the idea of hurting herself to deal with him; otherwise, the usually heartless him would truly relent.
"Yes, yes, yes! Let the girl eat more and gain some weight; it's good for having children!" Takahashi Ryu nodded vigorously in agreement.
"It seems Young Master Si is really in deep," Shinohara Ryo sighed softly as he got up and headed toward Xinran's room.
