Although the Mutant Snake still had some strength left, it was clearly at its last gasp. Under the relentless barrage of bullets, the giant snake finally lost its energy and collapsed onto the ground.
Li Nan saw the Mutant Snake fall and immediately shouted, "Don't stop firing! Keep shooting; we can't let this guy play dead!"
The bullets flew for another five or six minutes before Li Nan was fairly certain that the giant snake was indeed dead.
Li Nan approached with the Vigo Knife and saw that half of the snake's tongue was hanging out of its mouth. He waved his hand and said, "It's definitely dead!"
The remaining people relaxed immediately and burst into laughter. "Brother Nan is impressive; he took care of this Mutant Snake in no time!"
Li Nan moved closer to the Mutant Snake's head and suddenly noticed its eyes wide open. Just as Li Nan's heart raced, those large snake eyes closed again, confirming that it was truly dead this time.
Li Nan sighed with a bitter smile and murmured, "Survival of the fittest; if we don't kill you, how can we take away this food?"
After a moment of reflection, Li Nan thought of the poisoned Brother Three and shouted to everyone, "Where's Brother Three? Where is he?"
Everyone turned to look but couldn't find Brother Three; even Fatty was missing.
Li Nan was puzzled. "Could something have gone wrong just now?"
Bitter Melon led the brothers in a search, while outside the Granary, Fatty had already carried Brother Three into the van.
Fatty noticed a small snake slithering through some sparse grass at his feet and immediately stepped on it, intending to kill it. At that moment, Li Nan also came over.
Seeing Fatty, Li Nan asked, "Where's Brother Three?"
Fatty pointed and said, "I thought it was too dangerous earlier, so I put Brother Three in the van and was getting ready to escape. But then I heard the commotion in the Granary stop, so I knew you guys had taken care of that snake. That's why I turned off the engine!"
Li Nan did not pay much attention to Fatty and rushed into the van, discovering that Brother Three was in bad shape. Not only had his face turned purple, but the discoloration had also spread to his hands and feet.
Li Nan turned around and saw Fatty fiddling with a small snake. He shouted, "What are you doing at a time like this? Brother Three is about to collapse!"

Fatty confirmed it and added, "I know Brother Three has been poisoned by Snake Venom, but we don't have any Snake Venom Antidote on hand. We can only try my remedy!"
Li Nan exclaimed in shock, "Snake Gallbladder can detoxify, but can it counteract Snake Venom?"
Fatty stuffed the coin-sized snake gallbladder into Brother Three's mouth. "We can only give it a try!"
Fatty pressed down on Brother Three's throat with one hand, causing the Snake Gallbladder to roll down into his stomach.
Brother Three's fingers had already opened up a wound, dripping Black Blood, but since it wasn't at the site of the injury, the detoxifying effect was minimal!
Li Nan stripped Brother Three of all his clothes to locate the wound. Logically speaking, Brother Three should not have been bitten by a Mutant Snake; moreover, that snake was too small to bite a person!
To Li Nan's surprise, the wound on Brother Three's body was not from snake fangs but from a poisonous needle.
On Brother Three's back, there was a distinct black dot from which the purple discoloration had spread.
Li Nan suddenly realized that Brother Three had been poisoned because he had been pricked by the snake's tail! Brother Three's complexion gradually lost its color; he must have bled too much. Even if Snake Venom wasn't fatal, this amount of blood loss could certainly be lethal!
At that moment, Li Nan saw that Fatty had a wound that was bleeding profusely. As he pondered this, a sudden idea struck him.
Li Nan grabbed Fatty and said, "Hurry, drive! We need to get Brother Three back to the camp; maybe there's still hope for him!"
Hearing Li Nan's words, Fatty perked up. "Really?"
"I'm a doctor; you need to trust my expertise!" Li Nan got into the car and shouted to Fatty, "Go faster!"
Seeing Li Nan so confident, Fatty immediately started the car and drove straight toward the camp.
When Bitter Melon saw Fatty driving away, he quickly followed. Li Nan leaned out of the window and shouted to them, "Get the food back to the camp! Brother Three and I will head back first; you all listen to Bitter Melon!"
Bitter Melon understood that Brother Three was in critical condition and didn't complain at all. He turned to the remaining people and said, "Stay alert around us and get that snake carcass out; we need to move this Granary back to the camp!"
The mission was assigned, and the seven men were quick and efficient, each with their own tasks.
A Fei and Lin Hai went to move the snake carcass, but due to the massive size of the Mutant Snake, they decided to break it down into smaller pieces first, cutting it from the inside and then carrying it out piece by piece.
Just as A Fei was moving a chunk of the snake carcass, there was suddenly some movement coming from the Pit behind him!
A Fei alertly dropped the chunk of snake and immediately drew his Submachine Gun, signaling to Lin Hai beside him, "There's something else in the Pit!"
Lin Hai and A Fei gathered around the Pit, guns raised, staring intently at the soil below.
The soil shifted, as if something was trying to burrow out from underneath. In this situation, both Lin Hai and A Fei were on high alert. With Nan Ge not present, if another Mutant Snake appeared, they would really be in trouble.
A Fei gestured to Lin Hai about what to do, but Lin Hai shook his head, "Just wait!"
A Fei smiled wryly, "It can't be that we're going to have two rounds of snake battles in one day; that's not something we can handle!"
A fist-sized clump of soil was flipped over, and then a snake head poked out. It seemed that this snake wasn't small either; with a head about the size of a fist, its body must be over three meters long—definitely not a small snake!
Although a large snake over three meters long emerged from the soil, both Lin Hai and A Fei couldn't help but smile. "Looks like we were overthinking it!"
They had no intention of making things difficult for the large snake; however, it started crawling toward them.
Lin Hai recognized that the snake was a Rattlesnake and immediately exclaimed, "Could it be that the snake eggs hatched?"
A Fei shook his head. "No, that's an ordinary adult Rattlesnake; you can tell by its scales!"
Lin Hai raised his gun, intending to take out the snake, but was stopped by A Fei. "Wait a moment, let's observe!"
Lin Hai lowered his weapon and watched as the three-meter-long Rattlesnake slithered out of the pit. To his surprise, he saw it heading towards the corpse of the Leprosy Head Snake.
"What’s going on?" Lin Hai asked in astonishment.
A Fei chuckled, "I know! This three-meter-long Rattlesnake is the mate of that Leprosy Head Snake!"
Lin Hai found it hard to believe. "How is that possible? The size difference between these two snakes is so great that it’s impossible. If what you say is true, then when they mated, that three-meter-long male snake would have just slipped right in there and wouldn’t be able to get out! Haha!"
A Fei shrugged it off. "Who knows how they mated? But they are definitely mates!"
Lin Hai shook his head, but A Fei had already taken a shot, blowing off the snake's head. "Who cares what their relationship is? Better to mistakenly kill one than let any escape!"
Looking at A Fei's gun, Lin Hai laughed, "You can't eat mutated big snakes, but this small one could make a nice hot pot tonight!"
A Fei replied with a grin, "Great! When we head back tonight, let's go to your place for snake meat hot pot!"
