As evening approached, sitting in the Small Buildings, Li Nan had already heard the sound of the Truck and immediately said to Fatty beside him, "It's Bitter Melon and the others returning!"
Fatty nodded in agreement, while Li Nan continued, "Let's keep Brother Three's situation confidential for now; just let Bitter Melon know."
Having grown up in the Small Buildings, Fatty saw the men jumping down from the Truck and immediately asked, "How's it going at the Granary? No more problems, right?"
Leading the group was Bitter Melon, who nodded and replied, "No issues, but these three trucks can't carry everything; we'll need to make at least five or six trips!"
Fatty patted Bitter Melon on the shoulder and leaned in to whisper, "Brother Three isn't doing well, but this news can't reach Big Brother or Second Brother!"
Bitter Melon countered with a question, "Where is Brother Three now?"
"In Nan Ge's Small Buildings!" Fatty answered.
Bitter Melon maintained a calm demeanor and turned to call out to the remaining brothers, "Hurry up and unload the grain; we might have to work overtime tonight!"
The other brothers were aware that Brother Three had been poisoned, but since they were still busy with their tasks and Bitter Melon showed no signs of distress, they assumed Brother Three's condition wasn't serious.
Bitter Melon exclaimed, "I need to share today's findings with Brother Three. Fatty, take me over!"
Fatty nodded and led Bitter Melon into Li Nan's Small Buildings.
Upon seeing Li Nan, Bitter Melon didn't express much sorrow; he simply asked, "Is there really no way out?"
Li Nan shook his head. "There are ways; it just depends on whether you’re willing to put in the effort, Bitter Melon."
Bitter Melon nodded. "I'll go through fire and water; there's nothing I wouldn't do!"
Li Nan smiled. "That's good. Including Fatty and you, plus Lin Hai, four people will be enough!"
Bitter Melon was unsure of Li Nan's intentions and asked, "What exactly do you mean by fire and water?"
Li Nan looked out at the large Truck unloading its cargo and said, "Just wait; I won't let Brother Three feel disheartened!" He then waved at Bitter Melon. "You all head back first; just have a plan in mind. Also, arrange for some trusted people to ensure Brother Three doesn't fall victim to any underhanded tactics!"
Bitter Melon nodded in agreement and then tried to pull Fatty out, but Fatty shook his head and said, "It's Brother Three's first day. I'll keep watch and make sure nothing goes wrong!"
Bitter Melon smiled wryly and replied, "That's fine then!"
Fatty checked the handgun at his lower back and sat straight on the sofa.
Li Nan didn't seem to care much and went upstairs to rest. At this moment, Brother Three was in a dangerous situation. Although Snake Venom was very dangerous, human intentions were even more unpredictable, so Li Nan couldn't help but worry that Big Brother and Second Brother might take drastic measures!
He believed that tonight's camp would certainly not be peaceful!
Meanwhile, in Big Brother Liu Long's room, a woman was gasping seductively when a man barged in.
Brother Long felt quite pleased but didn't expect to be interrupted. He immediately shouted, "What are you doing? Can't you see I'm busy?"
The intruder was Rat. Upon seeing the enticing scene with Brother Long, he swallowed hard and said, "Brother Long, something serious has happened!"
Brother Long glared at Rat and told the woman beneath him, "Get out of here quickly!"
The woman who had been fidgeting looked up at Brother Long's command, pouted slightly, and then hurriedly pulled on her clothes and left.
Seeing that Brother Long had also pulled up his pants, Rat leaned closer and said, "It's bad news; Brother Three is in grave danger!"
Liu Long's expression changed. "What happened?"
Rat explained again, "Today Brother Three led people to attack the granary in the suburbs. I don't know what went wrong, but just now, Brother Three was carried back; it seems he was seriously injured!"
Liu Long's eyes lit up with concern. "What exactly happened?"
Rat chuckled darkly. "It seems he was poisoned by Snake Venom, but Li Nan managed to save him; it looks like he's okay now!"

Rat nodded. "Li Nan should not be underestimated, especially in the past couple of days; he seems to have gotten particularly close to Brother Three. Right now, Brother Three is resting in his small building!"

Liu Long made a gesture of 'killing' with his hand on his neck and said boldly, "Find someone close to Second Brother to take action and direct Third Brother's focus towards Second Brother. It would be best for us to sit back and watch the tigers fight!"
The Rat chuckled and then gave a thumbs up, "Brilliant! Truly brilliant! Brother Long is indeed wise!"

Meanwhile, compared to Liu Long's scheming, Second Brother Gao Hu's room had long since turned off the lights. To outsiders, it seemed he had gone to sleep! But was that really the case? Not necessarily!
As night fell, Fatty leaned against the sofa in the hall. Although his eyes were closed in rest, every cell in his body was in an excited state; he believed that as long as a stranger approached, they would not escape his keen senses!
Mo Xiaohui had been taking care of Brother Three on the second floor. After a lot of work, Brother Three finally managed to fall asleep.
Li Dapeng and Xin Qiqi returned to Small Buildings and were surprised to find Fatty sitting on the sofa; when Lingdang'er returned from training outside, she was also slightly taken aback.
Mo Xiaohui greeted Li Dapeng and the others, urging them to eat and go to bed early. Meanwhile, Li Nan approached Fatty with a cigarette butt in hand and said, "Want a smoke to perk you up?"

"Is that all?" Li Nan teased, while Fatty sighed, "Do we need to turn this into a romantic tale between men?"
Li Nan nodded, "True, a simple sentence can contain so much!"
After speaking, Li Nan was shooed away by Fatty. "I can't concentrate with you here!"
Li Nan extinguished the cigarette butt in his mouth and retreated to his room, calling back to Fatty, "With a brother like you, Brother Three is lucky!"
Fatty replied, "Brother Three has more than just me as a brother. The few men from today are all willing to fight for him!"
Li Nan lightly nodded and began to ponder, "How great must a person's charisma be to gather a group of brothers willing to fight for him?"
Li Nan believed that the charisma of Brother Three was something he could never cultivate in his lifetime. However, everyone is different; he didn't need to deliberately learn Brother Three's kind of character. Little did he know that he wasn't leading a band of outlaws, and this apocalypse wasn't an era where loyalty meant survival. Having brothers didn't guarantee safety!
Li Nan had been considering the path ahead for some time. However, without foresight, one would face immediate worries. Only by overcoming the current obstacle could he continue forward and plan for the future!
With a bitter smile, Li Nan threw himself onto the bed and soon fell asleep.
After ten o'clock at night, the power in Small Buildings went out. At that moment, a figure threw out a grappling hook that caught onto the rooftop and then climbed up to the second floor.
The figure used a dagger at their waist to pry open the glass window and carefully removed the grappling rope from their body. With a flip, they jumped into the room.
The wind rushed in through the pried-open glass, causing the curtains by the wall to flutter. The figure landed on the ground and quickly scanned the room before stealthily making their way toward the large bed.
The figure turned around, gripping a dagger, seemingly smiling as it prepared to pounce on the person in bed. However, it suddenly realized that the bulging blanket contained only two pillows!
The figure was taken aback, "How could this be?"
At that moment, the door to the room was abruptly pushed open, and a Fatty walked in, aiming a gun at the figure. "Running into me is your bad luck!"
In an instant, the silenced pistol in Fatty's hand fired a shot, and a bullet pierced through the figure's head, splattering a pool of milky substance.
Fatty approached the fallen figure and said to the person behind him, "That's already the second one. Is there going to be a third?"
Standing behind Fatty was Li Nan.
Li Nan shook his head. "There won't be a third. Big Brother and Second Brother's people have already taken care of everything. There won't be any more trouble tonight!"
Fatty put away his silenced pistol and dragged the corpse away, saying to Li Nan, "Looks like Brother Three didn't misjudge you!"
Li Nan chuckled softly, "Let's get a good night's sleep tonight; tomorrow's matters will be much more serious!"
