Li Nan saw the Gorilla's figure swaying and intended to turn around. He immediately drew his Compound Bow from behind, without aiming, and released a Feathered Arrow that flew towards the beast.
The fur that even a Submachine Gun couldn't penetrate was of no concern to Li Nan's Feathered Arrow. However, his goal was not to inflict harm on the Gorilla but to attract or provoke it.
The Feathered Arrow struck the Gorilla's shoulder before abruptly falling to the ground, barely even tickling the creature!
After failing with the first shot, Li Nan quickly fired a second arrow, followed by a third. As the Gorilla shifted its weight, clearly impatient with Li Nan's continuous attacks, it turned back, let out an angry roar, and charged forward, slapping its hands together.
Seeing that he had indeed provoked the Gorilla was just what Li Nan wanted. However, upon witnessing the creature's imposing presence, he felt a wave of dread wash over him. "I wonder how lucky I can get this time?"
The Gorilla lifted its head and stood tall, shaking the entire building as it crashed through the floorboards. On the third floor, debris fell in a shower of dust.
As the Gorilla went berserk, Li Nan quickly retracted his Compound Bow and fled in both directions.
Behind the Gorilla, Fatty noticed that the building was in a precarious state and seemed to be on the verge of collapse. However, his primary concern was still the Snake Venom Antidote!
After firing several shots, the coded door swung open. He leaned in and discovered a large Safe inside!
Fatty muttered to himself, "They locked away something so crucial so tightly; I wonder what those guys were thinking back then!"
Faced with the Safe, Fatty shook his head. He figured that getting it open would be as challenging as taking on a fully armored tank!
Just as Fatty was scratching his head in frustration, he suddenly heard rustling footsteps behind him.
Fatty turned alertly, his Submachine Gun already aimed. Upon seeing who it was, he couldn't help but smile wryly and said, "It's you guys!"
The figures behind Fatty were Bitter Melon and Lin Hai. Previously instructed by Li Nan, they had escaped to the fourth floor and jumped down from there. Their goal was to take advantage of the distraction caused by Li Nan to grab the Snake Venom Antidote!
Bitter Melon laughed upon seeing Fatty covered in dust: "You've got some serious luck; surviving twice is quite impressive!"
"I said, dare to take my Yama King, and we haven't even sat on it yet?" In an instant, Fatty's tone became serious. "What about this big Safe? The Snake Venom Antidote is hidden inside!"
Bitter Melon looked at the Safe, instantly clouded with worry. "Right now, Brother Nan is still entangled with that Diamond Monster. The situation isn't in our favor, and he can't hold out much longer. We need to get the Snake Venom Antidote as quickly as possible and think of a way to escape!"
Fatty wore a bitter smile. "You don't need to tell me that, but we can't break this Safe at all. If we can't get the Snake Venom Antidote from inside, are we supposed to carry this whole thing away?"
Lin Hai's expression was quite grim. After a moment's thought, he asked Fatty, "Do you have any spare magazines?"
Fatty replied in surprise, "Yeah! Why, are you running low on bullets? But the bullets we use aren't the same caliber; they probably won't work!"
Lin Hai nodded. "I know that. We can use the bullet cores to make a small demolition bomb. Although the explosive power won't be great, the directional blast should be enough to destroy this thing!"
Upon hearing this possibility, Fatty immediately said, "You're so clever! Let's do it!"
As he spoke, Fatty took out all his remaining bullets and began to knock them apart one by one to extract the cores.
After dismantling over a hundred rounds, they finally assembled a directional demolition bomb about the size of a fist.
Lin Hai laid the Safe down on the ground and buried the demolition bomb at the keyhole of the Safe, where the main mechanical operation area was located. As long as that part was destroyed, the Safe would likely be rendered useless.
The entire building trembled violently, with walls swaying left and right; the situation was dire.
With the demolition bomb set up, Fatty used one remaining bullet to penetrate it directly and trigger the explosion!
When Fatty and Bitter Melon peered out of the secret room, they found that the outside had already been wrecked beyond recognition, with several load-bearing walls having collapsed to the ground.
Lin Hai thought to himself, "We need to hurry; this building can't hold out much longer!"
Fatty responded with a shout and immediately fired a bullet, which hit the explosive bomb hidden under the Safe. In an instant, there was a loud explosion, and the Safe was jolted by a shockwave, releasing several plumes of black smoke.
Once Fatty confirmed that the explosion had ended, he leaned in and shouted, "Success! The Safe has been blown open!"
It seemed that the Safe contained quite a few items, as a flurry of red paper scraps flew out. Fatty and the others didn't bother to count such things and immediately stood the Safe upright.
The keyhole of the Safe had been blasted open, revealing a small space inside filled with various items.
Fatty reached in but found that his arm was too thick. He called out, "Lin Hai, come over and see if there's any Snake Venom Antidote inside!"
Lin Hai reached in and after some groping, pulled out dozens of glass tubes labeled with various chemical formulas that were completely unrecognizable.
Bitter Melon leaned in and exclaimed, "This pile of stuff should be the Snake Venom Antidote!"
Fatty replied in disbelief, "Is all of this it? You're a military doctor and a physician; which one is actually the Rattlesnake's Snake Venom Antidote?"
Bitter Melon had no clue and simply said, "You don't see this kind of stuff in the army, but whatever, let's just take it all!"
Fatty nodded. Unfortunately, he had no clothes left on him, so he quickly stripped Bitter Melon of his clothing and fashioned a simple bundle to hold the glass tubes Lin Hai had retrieved from the Safe.
Bitter Melon chuckled bitterly, "Good thing this stuff is stored in glass tubes; otherwise, that explosive bomb would have shattered everything!"
Fatty was quick and efficient; within seconds he had everything sorted out. He tied the makeshift bundle around himself and shouted, "Hurry up and save Brother Nan, then let's get out of this hellhole!"
Fatty looked like Rambo from First Blood, but his big belly betrayed his true level of fitness. As they walked down the corridor, Lin Hai asked, "Where did Brother Nan go?"
Bitter Melon glanced down and replied, "The floor below has been smashed to pieces; he must have gone down!"
Fatty nodded and was about to rush down when Bitter Melon stopped him, saying, "The Snake Venom Antidote is already on you. You can't take any more risks. Lin Hai and I will go down; you hurry up and get this Snake Venom Antidote back to the camp!"
Hearing Bitter Melon's words, Fatty hesitated for a moment. "I'm not a coward, and in my view, Brother Three and Nan Ge's lives are equally important, so I won't..."
Bitter Melon shook his head. "Well then, today we brothers will advance and retreat together; life and death are fated!"
Fatty grabbed Bitter Melon's left shoulder and pulled Lin Hai's right shoulder. "This kind of life-and-death trial doesn't come by often. As men, let's not embarrass ourselves!"
The three men lowered their heads together.

The entire building was shaking and seemed ready to collapse at any moment. Without thinking twice, Fatty and the other two jumped down and shouted, "Nan Ge, we got the serum! We got it!"
On the second floor, Li Nan leaned against the wall behind him, his body hunched over, with blood trickling from the corner of his mouth, clearly injured. Since the apocalypse began, Li Nan had never encountered any monster that could overpower him until now; this Gorilla was a behemoth whose qualities surpassed his in every aspect, making it an unfair match.
The Gorilla swung its arms as if searching for Li Nan, who could only hide in the corner of the wall, hoping to evade the Gorilla's search.
According to Li Nan's analogy, the Gorilla's strength could easily allow it to enter a demolition office in China. No matter how tall the building was, if this guy charged in and caused a ruckus, it would surely leave nothing but rubble!
Seeing that the building was about to collapse, Li Nan felt anxious. If Fatty hadn't succeeded yet, all four of them would truly be done for.
Just as Li Nan held his breath, a sudden sound reached his ears. Upon listening closely, it turned out to be good news.
The Gorilla seemed to have heard Fatty's shout and immediately turned back, no longer searching through the debris for Li Nan; it had found a new target.
Li Nan frowned. "These guys really don't know how to take care of themselves. After getting what they need, they should just escape instead of coming back to look for me. I can barely handle it alone; escaping is not something that can be done in just a moment!"
With no other choice, Li Nan shouted loudly and stepped out from the corner of the wall, cursing, "Our business isn't finished yet!"
The Gorilla grinned widely, revealing even its yellowed molars, and in an instant, two furry iron fists came crashing down.
Li Nan jumped to evade the attack, but the two fists had already knocked down the pillar behind him, causing the entire building to shake even more violently.
Seeing the situation was dire, Li Nan shouted, "Run outside! Everyone, get out!"
Hearing Li Nan's voice echoing, Fatty and the others hesitated for a moment when suddenly the beams above them began to collapse.
Bitter Melon muttered to himself, "This building is about to fall; we need to escape quickly!"
"What about Brother Nan?" Lin Hai asked in shock. Fatty replied, "Brother Nan can handle himself; don't worry, he will be fine!"
As he spoke, Fatty was the first to throw himself out. After shattering several panes of glass, he landed in a rather undignified manner.
Bitter Melon and Lin Hai quickly followed suit!
