A large swarm of Big-Headed Flies gathered together, their buzzing noise was extremely disturbing, and Li Nan's voice was drowned out among them. It was unclear whether the man across from him heard his shouts.
Seeing the swarm of Big-Headed Flies rushing over, Li Nan did not dare to hesitate. He immediately took off running towards the building, while the bloodied man behind him swung his Broad Blade Mountain Cutter and stubbornly chased after him.
Li Nan noticed a faint voice behind him, which brought him some joy. Although he couldn't figure out who this man was, anyone who could fight against the Big-Headed Flies for such a long time must be a brave man!
The speed of the Big-Headed Flies was incredible; it was clear that Li Nan's legs could not outrun their wings. Before he could take more than a few steps, the Big-Headed Flies behind him pounced like hungry tigers, their foul breath chillingly intense.
With only one bullet left in his Desert Eagle, Li Nan dared not use his handgun. He quickly grabbed his Compound Bow and, without aiming, shot it backward in hopes of alleviating his predicament.
The man wielding the Cleaver was also slashing left and right, finally getting close to Li Nan. Meanwhile, a swarm of fifty or sixty Big-Headed Flies had already circled above their heads.
Seeing this, Li Nan inwardly cursed, "At this rate, they'll tear me apart without leaving a scrap!"
Fortunately, the swarm hovering above them showed no intention of attacking; they seemed to still fear the beer Molotov cocktail that Li Nan had thrown earlier!
Realizing the intent of the Big-Headed Flies, Li Nan couldn't help but smile wryly: "As the saying goes in military strategy, what is real is actually false; what is false is actually real. It's hard to distinguish between true and false. You bunch of Big-Headed Flies have finally learned something!"
Li Nan shouted to the brother behind him, "Quickly get inside that building; it's safe in there!"
At that moment, Li Nan turned around and saw the man's face: square-shaped with a big nose, eyes as large as a cow's, and a mouth wide as a tiger's—what a domineering appearance!
However, his features were smeared with blood, making him look particularly ferocious!
The man held a Cleaver and swung it past Li Nan's body with apparent ill intent. But at this moment, Li Nan didn't have time to worry about another person like himself; what he was most concerned about was how to lure this group of Big-Headed Flies into a trap.
Li Nan shifted his legs, first moving to a position where he could quickly run back into the building, then turned to the group of Big-Headed Flies and shouted, "Come on, dare to chase me?"
The bloodied man was taken aback by Li Nan's actions but kept his mouth shut, saying nothing.
Li Nan waved at the man, saying, "Hurry up and get inside the building; it's safe in there!"
The man looked skeptical and did not make any further moves, while Li Nan couldn't be bothered with him. In this situation, he didn't want to risk too much for a small gain.
Li Nan waved his previously cut arm in the air, but the group of Big-Headed Flies remained unmoved, stubbornly gathering outside and refusing to pursue.
Li Nan hadn't anticipated this situation. He immediately shouted to the man behind him, "There are explosives in the building behind us. Draw them in, and when the time is right, we can take them out and escape!"
The bloodied man swallowed hard and slowly managed to say a few words, "What do you want to do?"
At this moment, Li Nan wasn't interested in the man's background. Instead, he said to him, "Please enter the trap."
Although the man was covered in blood, it seemed he wasn't seriously injured. Judging by his movements and agility, it was clear he was skilled.
The man's expression changed slightly; he seemed intrigued by Li Nan's words. However, due to Li Nan's blind spot, he didn't see this reaction.
About thirty seconds later, the man replied, "Charge into the swarm of flies and take down a few Big-Headed Flies. I bet they will chase after us!"
Li Nan thought this made sense and immediately extended his hand backward, but the man didn't understand what he meant.
Li Nan grinned and said, "Hand me the Cleaver; I'm going to make them regret it!"
The man hesitated slightly, but upon seeing Li Nan's silver-white pistol at his waist, he reluctantly handed over the cleaver in his hand.
"Thanks, brother!" Li Nan said loudly, directly grabbing the cleaver and charging into the swarm of Big-Headed Flies.
Li Nan leaped into the air, jumping more than two meters high, sweeping left and right. The Big-Headed Flies hovering in mid-air all flapped their wings and scattered.
Li Nan seemed possessed, swinging the knife to kill left and right, not even leaving a single Big-Headed Fly near him.
Seeing this situation was beyond his expectations, Li Nan's mind raced as he realized this approach wouldn't work.
In the midst of the swarm of Big-Headed Flies, Li Nan spotted a different creature. All the Big-Headed Flies had dark gray fur, except for one whose head was adorned with golden fuzz. This distinctive Big-Headed Fly was clearly their leader!
Among insects, there are often clear hierarchies, which are primarily caused by genetic differences. In ant colonies, there are distinct roles such as Worker Ants, Drone Ants, and Queen Ants. The Queen Ant, being the only one capable of reproducing, holds absolute dominion and authority. Comparatively, that golden-furred Big-Headed Fly should be their leader; once it was provoked, dealing with the remaining younger ones would be much easier.
Having made up his mind, Li Nan gripped the cleaver in one hand and quickly pulled out his Compound Bow from behind him, nocking three arrows and letting them fly.
The yellow-furred Big-Headed Fly was larger than the others, with an oversized head that looked disproportionately frightening.
Considering that such an odd-looking creature could become a leader suggested that this group of Big-Headed Flies had little future ahead of them.
Li Nan figured that Queen Ants in ant colonies were typically enormous and very slow-moving. The Yellow-Furred Big-Headed Fly should be similar; its claim to leadership wasn't due to greater strength or speed but merely because it had reproductive capabilities. Thus, the Yellow-Furred Big-Headed Fly was hardly worth mentioning!
Sure enough, all three Feathered Arrows shot by Li Nan struck the large Yellow-Furred Big-Headed Fly without it dodging a single one. It let out a furious howl as if it was in considerable pain.
With that angry roar from the big yellow creature, all surrounding Big-Headed Flies went wild and surged toward Li Nan.
"Got it!" Li Nan thought to himself, then turned and ran, shouting to the man standing like a pole, "Hurry up and run!"
Li Nan pulled out his Compound Bow and rushed into the building, casually handing the Cleaver back to the man.
Behind them, the Big-Headed Flies no longer cared about anything and surged madly into the building, intent on devouring Li Nan alive.
The two men were chased around by a swarm of flies. Although it was comical, the situation was urgent and rivaled that of an American blockbuster!
Li Nan was the first to rush into the building, followed closely by the man. The pursuing Big-Headed Flies also entered the building in a frenzy.
Li Nan leaned forward, standing at the staircase entrance, waiting for the right moment. He needed to wait until all the Big-Headed Flies had entered before making his move. At that moment, the Blood-Clothed Man stood behind Li Nan with the Cleaver in hand.
Noticing the situation behind him, Li Nan shouted, "Quickly go up to the third floor! When you hear gunshots from downstairs, jump out and escape!"
The man remained still, but he slowly raised the Cleaver in his hand.
The Big-Headed Flies roared as they rushed in, crowding into the building. However, once inside, they couldn't fly high due to the obstacles and all settled on the Ceiling, attacking Li Nan.
Li Nan dodged dozens of attacks from the Big-Headed Flies while keeping his eyes fixed on the door, observing the situation outside!
When the last Big-Headed Fly finally entered, the room was packed tightly. Seeing that the moment had come, Li Nan immediately tightened his grip on his Desert Eagle pistol and fired a large-caliber bullet directly into a beer bottle acting as a fuse.
The Old Snow Bottle exploded instantly. Then, as alcohol met heat, it burst into flames. The dozen boxes of Old Snow Beer acted like a series of connected firebombs, triggering a domino effect. The entire building erupted with crackling sounds and was engulfed in flames!
After taking action, Li Nan quickly ran upstairs. He needed to leave this place as soon as possible; if he delayed too long with the fire spreading, he would be trapped here!
A group of Big-Headed Flies was packed tightly together, and the flames ignited by the beer Molotov cocktails surged with the wind, impossible to contain. The Big-Headed Flies screamed in panic, and in an instant, they were burned to a crisp.
The bloodied man saw Li Nan turn back and head upstairs, immediately retracting his raised Cleaver and following him up. A few of the flaming Big-Headed Flies flapped their wings, trailing fire as they pursued.
Seeing the situation, Li Nan drew his Compound Bow and shot arrows into the air.
The few Big-Headed Flies had lost their previous speed and agility, and all were hit. However, just a few arrows did not significantly harm them.
Fortunately, there were not many Big-Headed Flies chasing after them—only a few. Even if they managed to escape, it wouldn't be a big deal. Li Nan quickened his pace and rushed upstairs. The reason he had wanted Fatty and the others to go to the third floor was that he feared the burning explosion below would be too intense. But now, Li Nan had no choice but to head for the nearest second floor.
As he dashed up the stairs, Li Nan scanned his surroundings and noticed a glass window at the end of the corridor. Without thinking twice, he kicked it open; his strength was immense, and even tempered glass shattered easily under his foot.
After breaking the window, Li Nan called to the bloodied man behind him, "Hurry up and jump out!"
The bloodied man held his Cleaver and seemed distrustful of Li Nan. Li Nan urged again, "There's no time! Hurry!"
